Welcome to our guest house. Enjoy the peace and tranquility of this modern farmhouse sitting on the edge of nature. Hiking trails are nearby or just relax and enjoy the beautiful sunset on your private deck. This guest house is perfect for two adults who want to escape from the city. Relax in the newly renovated indoor space by enjoying a quiet dinner for two or a movie on the big screen.

The entire experience was amazing. James and Zdenka were such gracious hosts. The farmhouse was a dream and we will definitely stay here again when we are in the area. I can't recommend their place enough.

This farmhouse was perfect for our stay in San Diego for a wedding! Easy to drive in and out of the city. James and Zdenka were so welcoming with a goody basket. The place was clean, very comfortable, and stocked with anything we would need.

Amazing views and cozy getaway

The hosts are beyond accommodating and thoughtful. It was such a great experience for us. The space is so cozy and comfortable and the views and property are stunning. We loved every minute of our stay and would definitely book here again if we had the chance.

The farmhouse was cozy, clean, and felt like a home away from home. The owners were super nice giving us a box of chocolates, other snacks, and wine. The house came with full kitchen amenities and overall the area surrounding the farmhouse was beautiful and quiet.

It was an amazing little cabin. The house are great as well. No issues no concerns. If I come back to San Diego, I will check here to see if this is available every time. Way better than any hotel and any other Verbo I’ve been at.

Such a fairytale house! Everything was clean, functional, and thoughtful. The hosts clearly put so much attention to detail, and even left us little gifts for our anniversary! We will definitely be returning.

Amazing beautiful

The cottage was very cozy and the setting is amazing beautiful. One feels right at home. The kitchen is week supplied. The house is nice and warm. The wildlife can be seen and heard everywhere. In the evening the silence is golden.

The little extras make this a jewel

We have stayed at lots of spots, it was the extras that put this place in our top 10%. Things like a beautiful welcome package, a real corkscrew, welcoming messages, some essentials in the cupboard, and lots of pillows! We loved the view from the upstairs terrace, and the quiet of this place. It had everything we needed to cook and was spotless. A special place

Beautiful Escape from the City

The pictures of the view from this property do not do it justice. We appreciated the distance from the city without being too far away. It gave us an escape to retreat to. Perfect amount of space for two adults and a 1yr old. Hosts were communicative if needed and everything was clean and well taken care of. They very much take pride in their farmhouse. Will definitely be back next time we're visiting!

We absolutely loved this farmhouse! It was easy communicating with the host. The home was spotless, and had every single amenity possible. From the welcoming sign and birthday cupcakes to the goodie basket, wine, and chocolate, everything was perfect. The kitchen was fully loaded with every utensil, pot, pan, and plate imaginable. We were looking for a quiet and peaceful vacation, and we certainly got it here. This was the best Vrbo we've stayed in. The views were gorgeous from the patio. Not one complaint about this home. Thank you so much to the hosts James and Zdenka. We will be back!

Peaceful Retreat

The pictures don't do this listing justice. Everything was perfect and all details were thought of. We enjoyed keeping the A/C off and the windows open day and night - there is no noise pollution. We saw lots of little bunnies on our daily drive up to the house. Our kids enjoyed the cornhole game out back! Highly recommend.

As hosts, we are determined to provide a relaxing and enjoyable stay for our guests. My family and I live in the main house. We respect our guest privacy. We are just minutes away from any assistance you may need

Por qué escogió este alojamiento

The guest house was built in 1972. My husband and I bought the property back in 1997 to raise a family and a vision for creating an amazing space to share with family and friends while creating amazing memories.

This unit is 640 square feet and is about 50 yards from the main house. There is a separate driveway that leads to the guest house. The unit has two stories with the kitchen and living room on the main floor. The bedroom, bathroom and office are on the second level. The laundry room is attached to the outside of the unit. The beautiful deck with a view is accessed via a door on the second level.

Inside the guest house, you will find it newly renovated with all new appliances, new furniture, designer head board, high definition television and a cozy dining table for two.

The outdoor space is wide open and all nature. The patio deck off of the second floor is 112 square feet and where you will enjoy amazing mountain views and even the ocean on a clear day. In addition, you may see hawks flying overhead, wild rabbits, deer and the occasional coyote.

This Modern Farmhouse Hideaway sits on the edge of nature with no neighbors to fret about. We fell in love with this property because it has that country feel yet only 30 minutes away from downtown San Diego and all that the city has to offer. You can sit back and relax and enjoy life away from the city or take a 30 minute drive to the San Diego Zoo, Sea World or Pacific Beach.
