Classy Bear Cabin sits at the summit with unobstructed views of Ober Mountain—one of the few Gatlinburg cabins where you can watch the sun rise over the Smokies from bed. Whether you're sipping morning coffee on the deck or soaking in the hot tub under the stars, the views never get old.

This isn't your typical mountain rental. We've recently renovated with thoughtful upgrades throughout: a modern kitchen featuring a reclaimed wood herringbone backsplash, quartz countertops, and everything you need to cook for the whole group. The spa bathroom includes a chromotherapy whirlpool tub—guests tell us it's the highlight after a day of hiking.

The Smoky Mountains have been part of my life since childhood — family trips winding up mountain roads, mornings with mist rolling through the valleys, and that unmistakable feeling of peace you only get at elevation. Owning a cabin here was a long-held dream.
We purchased Classy Bear Cabin in October 2022 and have poured ourselves into making it something special. We've renovated the kitchen, upgraded the bathrooms (including adding a chromotherapy whirlpool tub), invested in luxury bedding, and focused on every detail that makes a stay feel like home.
We're hands-on hosts who respond quickly and genuinely care about your experience. Whether you need restaurant recommendations, help planning your itinerary, or anything during your stay — just reach out. Our goal is simple: make your Gatlinburg trip so memorable that you come back every year.

Por qué escogió este alojamiento

Smoky Mountain Village in Chalet Village sits 3,000 feet above sea level — high enough for stunning summit views of Ober Mountain and Mt. LeConte, but just 2 miles from the heart of Downtown Gatlinburg.
We chose this location because it offers the best of both worlds: you're above the crowds and traffic, surrounded by nature and mountain air, yet minutes from restaurants, shops, and attractions. Ober Mountain is about a mile away — skip the parking headaches and hop on the Ober Tramway from downtown for skiing, tubing, or year-round mountain coaster rides.
The neighborhood is quiet and peaceful, with wildlife regularly passing through (yes, you may see bears!). As a guest, you also get seasonal access to Chalet Village clubhouses with pools, tennis courts, and fitness facilities.
One note: we're on the summit, so the road up has winding curves typical of mountain driving. If you're uncomfortable with mountain roads, this may not be the right fit — but for most guests, the views and location are absolutely worth it.

Entertainment options keep everyone happy: a barrel arcade with 60 retro games, Wii U console, board games, 4 Smart TVs, and high-speed WiFi. The screened-in patio has a hot tub with outdoor bar seating — perfect for soaking under the stars.
But what guests mention most? The views. Step onto the deck overlooking Ober Mountain and you'll understand why we fell in love with this place. Morning coffee with that view is something you won't forget.
And we never charge a cleaning fee — our rate includes everything.
