Step back to quieter times on peaceful Lake Geneserath! Located on the sunny south end of Beaver Island is Hemlock Point, a quiet peninsula on Lake G. The southern end of the island is home to some of the best beaches! You’re close to Cables Bay, Iron Ore Beach and the Beaver Head Lighthouse. Come for the sun, sand, and beautiful blue waters of summer or enjoy a fall getaway to marvel at the autumn colors!
The Lucky Charm has 4 bedrooms, 2 baths the perfect spot to get away from it all, enjoy family or catch up with old friends. A fishing getaway, girls weekend or maybe you want to work remote? Good Wi-Fi! A fantastic view in a peaceful setting! Nestled in hemlock trees, the lake boasts the best fishing and is home to many nesting loons. Save the jet skis for Lake Michigan! Sit on the deck and enjoy a morning coffee, raise a glass to the sunset then take in the dark starry skies!
The main level of TLC has 2 bedrooms (queen, double) and a bath with walk-in accessible shower. Upstairs are two more bedrooms (queen, 2 singles) and another walk in shower bathroom. The kitchen is well stocked as is the tv cabinet with games and DVDS. Washer and dryer are in the basement as well as extra lawn chairs, canoe, life preservers, beach toys. A charcoal grill is provided (bring your own charcoal) Bring your own bikes, kayaks, or rent from town.

The Lucky Charm does require a car for your visit. Bringing your own car requires a reservation on the boat, book early as peak season fills fast! (Reservations start in January for the season) There’s two car rental businesses on the island.

Trash is to be taken to Transfer Station by guest, placed in green bag. 1 bag provided for guests, extra can be bought in town. Recycling encouraged!

Beautiful setting. So very peaceful. We loved the games and sitting out on the deck. The spacious kitchen area allowed us to cook our food and commune around the table. Great way to see the whole island.

Another charmed week at the Lucky Charm

This is the perfect spot for family time on Beaver Island: mergansers, loons, muscrats to keep us entertained. Beautiful sunsets and exciting thunderstorms on Lake G. Great place for swimming off the dock and kayaking to the North and South arms. Easy access to Cable and Iron Ore Bays. Our hosts are fantastic. The house is perfect for our family of 5. We will be counting the months til a 2026 return to The Lucky Charm. Thank you!

Amazing view in a quiet location.

The house was very well put together with anything you would need. Very clean. The host was kind enough to let us know when the home was ready for an early check in. Awesome place to see the stars at night.

Beaver Island Getaway

This was our first time to Beaver Island. Lucky Charm is a comfortable getaway in a beautiful, quiet area. Fishing was great on Lake G; we brought our kayaks and enjoyed the tranquility, visited various beaches and hiking trails. Beautiful area.

The delights and beauties of Lucky Charm

Our family had another marvelous week at the Lucky Charm, taking full advantage of all this beautiful spot has to offer: loons, eagles (2!), beavers, mergansers, fantastic water for kayaking and swimming, and a spacious and welcoming home. Everything is well appointed and both parents and kids had a fantastic time on Lake G, on Cable and Iron Ore Bays, as well as hiking from Buffalo Camp to the South Arm (a 7.5 mile challenge) and on the trail near the light house. Thank you for this special place and time.

FABULOUS TIME!

The host’s communications were all prompt and helpful. The property was exactly as pictured - darling & clean. The view was the best part. We were saddened that the lake was high so no beach front property for the kids to play at. (Mother Nature’s fault - NOT the hosts) We did go to Lake Michigan, which was close. We loved feeling secluded, but 20 minutes from town to take in some of the quaint town. *side note: the ferry system was easily navigated. Overall, we had a wonderful time & would recommend. Oh, one last bit of info. You are only allowed 1 large garbage bag. If you need more you must buy at the hardware store $5.00 for small and $7.00 for large. It is then the guest’s responsibility to drop off at recycling facility on the way to the ferry.

Peaceful retreat

We loved staying at the Lucky Charm on lake G. This was our first time to Beaver island. The inland lake was more peaceful and less windy than being right on Lake Michigan, yet only a short trail walk to the big lake. The water was surprisingly warm considering the air temp was barely 70. The cabin is rustic and clean and had WiFi for the kids and all the basic essentials you need.

Beautiful and Relaxing

We met family at the cottage and had a wonderful reunion for an ideal location. Lots of swimming, biking, hiking, cribbage, good food (love the Weber charcoal grill), and a wee bit of catch and release fishing. Lucky Charm was exactly as advertised. It is well furnished both in the kitchen and amenities. Communication was quick and responsive, checking in and out was easy. Thank you for sharing your cottage!

Remote and Quiet with a View

Visit with friends for the Irish Festival in Sept. Clean. Quiet location quite a ways from the main downtown area- as advertised. Lovely view of the lake from the deck. Shallow all around the dock and for a long way out- sandy bottom. Took canoe out to the drop off and caught a pike. This is an older cabin where kitchen with large dining table opens to living room space with comfortable seating- worked well for our group. Coffee maker, bean grinder, French press and Keurig all there. We could have used a pancake griddle, but a large Teflon skillet got the job done. We slept ok upstairs. Friends who slept downstairs reported mattress rolling them both to the middle. The dark, clear sky full of stars is a sight to behold. The host is a wonderful communicator. This is a nice place to be if you want a quiet, relaxing, remote spot in the woods on a lake to recharge. There were neighboring houses, but we saw no other people- only deer.

Relaxing waterfront home

A Slice of Heaven

We had a wonderful week at the Lucky Charm. If you're looking for a beautiful setting of peace and quiet, this is it! Enjoyed coffee/wine on the deck, listening to the Loons. House so clean with plenty of room. We will certainly stay again.
