This property was everything we epected it to be. We absolutley lived the retro/vintage decor. It was so peaceful and quiet, exactly what we needed!!

Quiet building, fun space.

Great location in a quiet town mid way between Mississippi Palisades State Park and Galena. Great views overlooking the Apple River outside our windows.

Anniversary Weekend

We booked this trip for our 2 year anniversary, and it was perfect! Such a cozy and quiet little place to stay, not too far from all of the fun sights nearby in Galena. Very private and secluded, which was the perfect way to flex after being out on the town all day long. Would absolutely recommend staying here and we’d love to come back and stay sometime in the summer!

Exactly as Advertised! Great communication

Liz and Shane were great! They gave multiple recommendations for food (Fried Green Tomatoes was delicious) and the recommendation for hiking delivered as well. The place had all the amenities we needed and then some!

Perfect Cozy Arrangement for Our Stay

My partner and I enjoyed our stay here in Hanover, IL. We loved being able to look out to the Apple River and watch the birds in the mornings. The space was perfect for us. The bed and living area was very cozy, the bathroom met our needs, and the kitchen was great for us to make our breakfast in the morning. Communication with Liz & Shane was easy. They always responded promptly and provided an amazing list of suggestions to meet our needs. The check-in and check-out process was also very easy.We absolutely enjoyed our stay here and definitely recommend for others if they're visiting the area.

Very cozy, “warm”, inviting property. Nicely decorated and well put together. Has everything you need for a nice stay + comfy bed. Hosts were very thoughtful including all the personal items you may have left at home. Extremely quiet and private stay! Hosts were very accommodating and a breeze to work with. Will definitely stay again.

Cosy place near the water in a nice neighbourhood

Girls Galena Getaway

Perfect place for my best friend to meet me for a girls weekend. Galena was 20 minutes to the north and Savanna was 10 minutes to the south. Loved the proximity to Mississippi Palisades Park as well as kayaking on the Mississippi!

We would 1000% stay again!

It was the decor that sold me! The vibe of the apartment was so chill, it was exactly what we needed - and it was exactly like the pictures. Liz and Shane answered every message promptly, the place was super clean, accommodating, and cozy. The attention to small details were full of thoughtfulness and kindness. We went horseback riding at the Shenandoah Riding Center, which we highly recommend. It was a beautiful drive to Galena, and although it's about 20 minutes there the scenery made it seem shorter. The neighborhood folks were so sweet, and we felt very safe in our surroundings. It was the perfect stay, and we would highly recommend Liz and Shane as hosts and their accommodations.
Blaum Bros. bar and restaurant... highly recommended... the atmosphere is fantastic.
Don't mind my husbands slides lol but the room was exactly what we saw in the pictures... and so cozy!
The view from the living room... the sound of the dam and the surrounding nature was so soothing.
Again, please don't mind my husbands mess, but this is us before our night on the town in Galena.

The apartment overlooks the river and was easy to access. Hanover is a quiet town and a little bit off the beaten path, which is what we were looking for. With just a short 20-25 minute drive to Galena, we were in close proximity to restaurants and the shopping area there, as well as some nearby nature areas in Hanover. The hosts were available when we needed them and the apartment had all of the basic amenities we could ask for.
