Malabar Chalet is a beautiful and centrally located home in the heart of Mohican

The Malabar Chalet is a tastefully updated historic 2 bedroom home with turn of the century wood craftsmanship, leaded glass and one of a kind accents. There is an updated bathroom and large fully furnished Kitchen. Each bedroom has its own television and there are large bay windows with views of the parks and downtown Loudonville. The massive front porch is equipped with seating and tables and is ideal for enjoying the outdoors in the day or evening. The attached driveway also provides private onsite parking.

The house is conveniently located in Loudonville, easy to find with ample parking. The host is easy to communicate with and responsive to all of my inquiries. The house is also right next door to the farmers market when we were there which made for a fun Sunday morning (and lots of new breakfast ideas!). The house is 100 years old and has a massive porch that is great for late night people watching after the day is done.

The house was adorable and had so much character! There was a slight smell when first entering the home (it's just an old home so it was an "older" smell) but it was nothing that bothered us after we got used to it. Since you can't open the windows, I understand because I have rented a house built in the 1800s before! Another half bathroom would have been nice, but otherwise everything was perfect and the location was awesome. We enjoyed the front porch sitting. We would stay again!

It was a beautiful home in the center of an awesome winery, Mohican trails, some of the best restaurants in the area (The Black Fork), a cute down town area (within walking distance) that is full of surprises, and just an overall fall paradise! There also happened to be a first annual Big Foot Festival downtown when we stayed.

Great stay

We stayed in the house while visiting family. It had exactly what we needed. Was a bonus that the Memorial Day parade went right by the front porch in the in the morning. Annie was great to work with. Thanks for the great stay!!

Perfect location

The location was perfect for doing activities locally. Right on the main street, and adjacent to the park. It was clean and the property manager was great at responding to questions. Great value as well.

Mohican hiking trip

House was very nice and very very clean located in the center of a nice little town with shops and restaurants within 5 min walk if you like small town americana this is for you
