Fabulous

Our second time staying here. The home is very clean, safe, very comfortable. Highly recommend to all. Wish there was a TV so we could have watched The Ohio State football game. Very peaceful and quite. Hosts are great!!!!!!!!

Well stocked and clean!!

If you cook, this is the one. Very well stocked with high end cookware and all the accessories. Kitchen is open and easy to navigate. Hosts are super friendly and helpful. No electronics, so get out there and hike!

Friends rime away

The house was great, very clean and well decorated. Everything we needed was available to us in the home. The location was very nice and secluded. The deck and hammock chairs were the highlight to view the beautiful surroundings and relax. The hosts were very nice and communication was easy. The little added touches to make us feel welcome were so nice! Would recommend anyone staying here and would stay again!

Anniversary Getaway

This was a perfect house for a country stay. The hosts were fantastic, and the house was gorgeous. They had every amenity listed on the ad and then some! The only thing that was not included was any TVs at all or a table on the deck. While we didn't care and didn't need them, it would be nice to have at least one in case the kids brought a gaming console or just want to watch TV. That did not take away anything on how much we loved this place!

Perfect weekend to relax AND frolic in the Snow

Very impressive : the communication of all the little details (how to get there with precise directions, entering and leaving the property, near-by attractions and food choices, etc....) was perfect and perfectly timed (i.e. we received updated details close enough to our journey that we absolutely felt prepared). The place is in tip-top shape. We all slept incredibly well, only to be woken up by the gentle chirping of birds - amazingly quiet ! Best part : our teenage girls loved and explored the surrounding, stating that we should DEFINITELY come back when it is fall, and the leaves will look wonderful.

Nike race and a surprise

Upon arrival, the home was super clean and very well maintained with easy and clear instructions for getting there and getting settled. They have a great video of your route to the property. I had arrived first and when my friend arrived, he brought a few unexpected guests. The owners of the property were very understanding and worked with us to accommodate the situation. They were very kind and communicated with us quickly. Overall, I highly recommend the property and location for Mohican or just to get away for a break.

Graduation Weekend

My husband and I took my daughter and her friend here for a graduation getaway weekend. The place was amazing. Everything was perfect. My favorite was the hammock seats on the porch. It provided a serene place to drink my coffee in the morning and listen to nature. The girls had an amazing time walking all of the nearby trails and enjoyed using the kitchen to create some new dishes for us to try. The owners were great. I had all the information I needed every step of the way and they were easy to communicate with. We were able to meet them and they are wonderful. I have definitely found my go-to place when I need a weekend getaway that is not too far from home.

Total Solar Eclipse -- we knew this would be the perfect place to enjoy it !

Once we determined that we'd like to have a family adventure inside the zone of totality, it was clear that there is one great place to watch it, as we had enjoyed our last stay in this wonderful place already very much. This time, we also brought my in-laws, totaling hence 6 people - which the house very comfortably accommodates. As we had anticipated - everything was in tip-top shape, communication with the managers ahead of time was efficient and re-assuring (Chris and Nicole had even thought of getting us eclipse glasses from the local Library !). Since we stayed not just for the day of the eclipse itself, but had an extended 3 day experience, we were able to fully enjoy not just the house, but could explore the surroundings -- and found that it really is a charming place with a lot of interesting attractions nearby (Malabar Farm, many of the well-maintained nature trails, the Alcove restaurant in Mount Vernon, etc...).

It was so nice to stay in a house instead of a camper after floating down the river. The host thought of all the comforts of home! They even provided fire wood to have a fire.

Another great stay!

My husband and I enjoyed the peace and quiet! It was the perfect place to get away from the hustle and bustle and 3 kids. Plenty to do around the area if you want to be out and about, and plenty to do around the house if you don't feel like seeing other people. We will definitely be staying again!

Beautiful Property

The renting process of this property was seamless. The property is well taken care of, clean, and modernly decorated. Local restaurants and activities are not far from the property which makes it the perfect get away. Highly reccomend this place.

Lovely and close to Mohican!

We were traveling with family for a wedding and to hike at Mohican and this lovely cottage fit the bill for a place for the 6 of us to stay. It was immaculate and beautifully decorated. Its kitchen had everything we needed for meals. Our grandkids especially loved the hammock swings on the deck. Chris and Nicole went out of their way to find a high chair and rocking chair for our one year old. The only thing that would have made it better is access to a small tv for our grandkids in the evening. Other than that it was perfect.
