Private lake home with Pontoon on Lake Ida in Alexandria, MN

Lake Ida peninsula! With over 1000’ of lake shore, this property sits at lake level making it superb for swimming. Located at the end of the road for privacy, the property is secluded with mature oak trees for the perfect relaxing vacation. The garage is setup for enjoying the lake days with a patio and small bar/counter area, full size refrigerator, oven, table and chairs and tear away screen (this space is our favorite!). We’ve even had sleepovers in this space (air mattresses with sheets and blankets available). A bunk room pairs as a storm shelter built to withstand winds up to 200 mph! This is truly a unique property that offers many memories to be made!

We offer the use of a pontoon for $650/stay.
Lake Ida is a large clear lake (sandy bottom) with three public accesses. The lake has a couple sandbar spots that are fun to spend the day at. Or if fishing is your thing, Lake Ida is one of the top lakes in the area for walleye, large and smallmouth bass and northern pike. Some of our best catches have been right off our dock!

If you wish to take a break from the lake, Alexandria, recently voted Best Town in Minnesota, is just 10 minutes away. Things to do and see include: charming local shops, unique and delicious restaurants, Copper Trail Brewery, Carlos Creek Winery, Big Ole and the Central Lakes Trail.

Beautiful place on an incredible lake. The cabin was great, clean and well stocked with anything we might need. The garage was everyone’s favorite spot to hang out, eat and play the many games available. We caught many fish right off the dock when we weren’t swimming and floating right there. We also enjoyed the rest of the lake for fishing and the sand bar at Pilgrims point was fun for everyone in our group (ages 9-61) to hang out at. I had some questions before our stay, and received very quick responses. I think everyone in our group would recommend staying here. Thank you!

Beautiful property

We had a wonderful 4 nights at this property! Beautiful views and awesome location. We enjoyed swimming right at the property but also loved the ability to rent the pontoon and take that around the lake. The beds were very comfortable, and the property was stocked with everything we could ever need. The garage space was great to hang out in and offered a nice gathering area. Would consider coming back, and highly recommend.

Our family of 5 had a great stay on Lake Ida! The house sits right on the water, so we really spent most of our time enjoying the lake. The house is well stocked and was very clean upon arrival. Tiffany was a great host and was very timely with any questions we had. The Alexandria area is a great community and spot for a vacation. Would highly recommend this VRBO!

Our stay here over the 4th of July week was wonderful. The cabin is charming and clean with remodeled kitchen and bathroom. The cabin has AC in the main room. Being it was extremely hot during the 4th of July we used fans to push AC into the 2 bedrooms, which was great. The back bunk house has portable AC unit and our grown kids loved it back there. The garage (no AC) is set up for lots of fun. We spent lots of off time in there with tables, chairs, couch, games, fridge, stove, etc. So Fun!!! Only thing better would be if front garage door facing lake had a retractable screen to keep out mosquitos at sunset. Lots of lake toys and we rented the pontoon which was loads of fun. We parked out in the lake an unrolled the large lilly pad for lots of fun. Great fire pit. Big yard for lawn games. Lot is very private, and of course it is on the best lake in Alexandria area. We will be back!!

Amazing lake cabin with family bonding spaces!

Beautifully cozy lake cabin with a spacious comfortable garage & fire pit space. Was so nice to hangout with our large family playing games and making s’mores at the fire pit. Our youngest couldn’t stop fishing off the dock and watching the fish in the super clear water! We even saw a painted turtle lay her eggs in the yard! Alexandria and anything forgotten is only 20 minutes away. Tiffany was a patient hostess with us. Thank you for the wonderful memories!! We can’t wait to return!

Fantastic lake getaway

My family of six and I as well as our fur baby Frank spent an incredible five days at this property. The property is beautiful and the lake even more so. Situated just 13 minutes from anything you need in Alexandria, this lakefront property sits at the end of the road, which provides Seclusion and privacy. The garage provides plenty of recreational space and it is just a few short steps on flatland from the door to the dock. The fishing on the lake was also fantastic. Will definitely come back

Great lake stay!

We loved our time on Lake Ida! It’s a gorgeous lake with so much to do - fishing and multiple sand bars. The peninsula that the house is on feels perfectly secluded. Great for fishing, paddle boarding, or floating right off of the dock. The house is clean with a nice kitchen and the garage/party room is a unique hang out extending the space. We would love to stay again!

Fantastic Family getaway

Stayed with my family, ages 2-65. Plenty of room for us all, the open garage with games and extra cooking space was definitely the kids hang out. Kitchen well stocked as well as towels, TP, and bathroom (shampoo, soap) supplies. The pontoon was the highlight of the trip. Lake Ida clean and great sand bar. Fishing off the dock and yard games in the very private yard were also a hit. So much to do on property we never left to see town, although everything is close. Next time!! Tiffany was very responsive and helpful! Thank you for a wonderful time.

Loved the property, very private on a point. Party garage was a big hit. Great view of Lake Ida. Pretty good fishing right off the dock. Super quiet had a great time despite rainy weather.

We had a great time with all ages. So much to do and so many toys provided for you. Recommend renting the pontoon. And Tiffany was very helpful and responsive.

Bachelorette party- perfect place for this!!! We had a great time at the house and spent way more time there than expected because it suited us all! Tiffany was an amazing host and really helped with some last minute struggles with planning! All 9 girls agreed that we’d book this place again if ever needing to come to the area!

Location is at the end of the line so more private. The cabin itself is small but there are other places for the whole family to hang out. Would definitely stay again!

On the water

This place was great! Right on water with all the things you'd find at a lakehouse of your own...floaties for the kids, a sup, board games for rainy days, water shoes, and the option to rent the pontoon on the property. Our kids loved fishing off the dock and heading out on the pontoon for time on the water. The MN state bird (aka mosquito) was a bit of a drawback after sunset, but the sliding door to the deck still afforded the opportunity to listen to the call of loons while watching the sunset shimmer on the lake. Definitely a stay full of great memories that will last a lifetime!

Great Lake Fun!

Family of 10 - plenty of beds and room for all. Loved all the extra water toys and fun things to do. The garage space is awesome! Only downfall is 1 bathroom 😉.

Great VRBO

Everything was clean and ready for our arrival. We enjoyed all the games and toys available to us. The lake was perfect for catching a lot of fish. The close vicinity to Alexandria, the winery and Brophy county park was a huge plus. Would highly recommend this place to anyone wanting a great place to stay!
