Beautiful Lake Ida home ready for multi-family indoor & outdoor fun!

Relax at this 3000 square foot well appointed lake home situated on one of Alexandria's best lakes, Lake Ida with the lake's North public access nearby. This home features a large flat yard and a sandy beach for outdoor fun on 100 ft of beautiful lakeshore. Be ready to enjoy the lake all day!

This epic view of the lake is available to you from the patio as well as from both the huge open windows in the living room and game room area of the home. County Ordinances dictate that 12 guests over the age of 6 can stay onsite overnight. This property can accommodate all of those (and any bonus young children) on beds. Three private spaces for the grownups and two lofted bunk rooms with a combo of queen and full sized beds and comfortable linens.

Fun included outdoor activities with a cornhole set for your use as well as 2 kayaks available. Updated for the 2024 season, we've got a Pacman video gameset, A-holes/Bosstoss for a fun competitive indoor bean bag toss game. Beat your friends in family on our awesome shuffleboard table. We've got all new cues and balls for our bumper pool table as well as a poker table for your night time activities!

We've got high speed internet if you need to get a little work in or if you want to stream from your Netflix account on two large screen tv's and smaller tv's in the dual primary bedroom spaces. Lots of room to spread out and enjoy your time but also have some space if you need to get away to read a good book.

This cabin is close to everything the area has to offer including local restaurants, golf courses, coffee shops, shopping, pickleball courts, trails, breweries, wineries, and so much more. Alexandria is one of the most popular vacation areas in Minnesota!

House was very clean and is perfect for a stay with a large group. We enjoyed playing games in the game room and had plenty of seating and beds throughout the house. Everything was in good working condition. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, very peaceful!! Loved the big windows facing the lake. Host was very communicative and accommodating. Would love to stay again!!!

The cabin was perfect for our family weekend. It slept 3 families comfortably and the game room was a nice “extra” area for the kids to play and hang out. The lake is beautiful, you are able to enjoy the water with the kayaks provided.Tom communicated quickly and was kind enough to accommodate our request for a little later check out due to an event we had. Safe to say we will be back!

This was a beautiful property with a spacious lawn and sandy beach. We loved having the big game room for rainy days and the 2 large bunk rooms were comfortable and were great for all the kids. We did a girls room and a boys room. Lots of towels and linens and huge washer/ dryer. Would've been nice to have a master bathroom, but we made it work with the 2 bathrooms. Overall, great stay and would definitely come back!

A beautiful stay in Alexandria

Fun in and out of the lake in this spacious lovely rental! We were only here for a few days, but would have loved to stay longer if our plans allowed for it! Next time we would definitely rent a pontoon to explore the lake more. It was a relaxing, fun stay and the house was spotless!

Family Thanksgiving Getaway

Lovely clean property. Very well equipped for everyone. Grandkids loved having their own area off of the game room. Great property to celebrate a holiday at.

We Loved Lake Ida!

We had a very enjoyable vacation on Lake Ida. The home was very well furnished and clean. The kitchen has all the modern conveniences you would need. There were lots of activities for the kids and plenty of outside spots for the adults to rest and relax. Tom (the host) was readily available and quick to respond to questions.

Lovely Stay on Lake Ida

Our group of 10 had a great stay at this property. Its well appointed, has plenty of space to spread out and fit our needs well. The views of the lake from the living room were A+. We rented a boat and had no problem putting it in at public access (recommend the East ramp) and getting it docked on the property. If we can get schedules coordinated we'll stay again!

Had a great time!

My family and I had a great week. The house is large enough to handle all 11 of us with the big kitchen and the fun game room. We played softball, soccer and Kubb on the spacious and level lawn. We spent most of our time on the sand beach swimming and lounging. Highly recommend this home.

Great accomodations

This property was very spacious for our family of 10 ranging in age from 3 through 79! The extras available including: beach toys for the younger children; the game room was very nice; lily pad for all ages and canoes for the older guests and a beautiful view of Lake Ida ; Very nice dock with easy lake access without a lot of stairs!! Our week went very fast!!

Amazing property! Would highly recommend!

We stayed over memorial day weekend and had a beautiful stay! Home was well kept, clean, and spacious. The lake is gorgeous, with crystal clear water and a beautiful lawn leading up to it. Tom responded right away to requests for help such as "can we park a boat trailer on the lawn etc." I wish there was an option for 6 stars!!!

Great time!

We had a great time with our family. We spent most of our time playing games in the huge yard and swimming and playing on the beach. The house has a separate game room where we played many a ping-pong match. The kitchen, living room and bedrooms easily accommodated our family of 11. Would recommend this house to anyone.

Fishing Group

Beautiful place with a great, nice, big and flat lawn from cabin to lake. Lots of space and bedrooms. We are a group who meets once a year to fish, play lawn games and cards. Perfect place for us to meet. Only disappointment was boat lifts were already out, but we survived. Tom was very responsive to our emails. Great host.

Wonderful Family Get-Away

Great amenities for our family vacation. We enjoyed alot of time on the water. The lily pad is so much fun! The kayaks were used by all, ping-pong in the evenings, and great sleeping accommodations. We wished two things about the coffee makers: 1. We wished we had known there was a Keurig so we could have come prepared. 2. We wished the coffee maker exceeded 5 cups. We hope to return next summer! Thank you!!

Supplies like soap were not filled - they were half-used or almost empty. Requests from the owner were off-putting at times- taking in a delivery and putting items together (ie chairs), taking out the garbage, etc. The property was nice and a good place for a large group. Note: if no one is staying there the night before you arrive the owner will charge you an early arrival fee per hour.

We hope to achieve this with clear and prompt two way communication as well as transparency in our listing details. We commit to all guests they shall receive prompt replies and proactive communication about our house rules designed for maximum guest enjoyment and also our property protection so guests can return time and time again enjoyably. We thank you for your feedback on our approach to supplying our home. We've instructed our cleaning team to leave half full soaps for guest use with full replacements in the supply closet for sustainability. We understand that was inconvenient for your group. Additionally, we are a residence with weekly garbage service. We will of course always ask guests who are with us on garbage day to bring the bins out for service. Due to very high demand, it's a rare occasion that we have availability for early arrival or late checkout. If any guest asks to come six hours early, we notify them immediately that any early arrival is based on availability and charges will apply if they'd like to amend their listing agreement. We would happily discuss our approach to ensuring guests have a 5 star stay at Lake Ida. Please enquire with any questions.

This property checks all the boxes (and then some)

We had 6 adults (40-70 yo) & 5 kids (3-18). There was something for everyone. The game room was a hit with the kids & grandpa! We had to remind grandpa to share the pac-man game. ;). Beautiful lawn & sandy beach was great for kids specifically toddler. Dock in great condition. We were able to tie up 2 fishing boats, a rented pontoon & 2 jet skis!!!! Great fishing. 18 yo caught 21 inch walleye! House/kitchen well stocked. Lots of space for everyone to sit and eat together. Plenty of sleeping/relaxing space, too. There is limited pantry space in the kitchen, so we used a tub with a lid for dry goods. Plenty of fridge/freezer space. Owner provided videos of stove operation etc. those were very helpful. I recommend future guests take 5 minutes to watch. Washer & dryer were large capacity & worked great! Fantastic week! We would rent again.

Lake life!

We had 10 adults and 1 toddler! There was plenty of beds and space! We brought our wave runners to play on the lake and the water was perfect! The lake is plenty big enough! The pictures show a fire pit but there wasn’t a fire pit! Bought S’more’s and couldn’t make them! There were no cleaning clothes in kitchen! They provided only 1 trash bag/recycle bag! I’m surprised I would have to buy a box of trash bags for a 3 night stay at a VRBO! Brought out the ping pong table to play and after laying flat we decided not to play because it was already janky and ready to fall apart therefore My family could never play on the table! I was charged for a ping pong table replacement! I told Tom there was no damage to home or their possessions upon my departure! Yet Tom charged me over $500 for a new table without even discussing with me! Beware, if you buy the insurance you may be charged for wrongful damage! Thank you Tom for turning a beautiful relaxing vacation into a Sour, will never rent from you again, kind of vacation! Ginger

We pride ourselves on an accurate listing and strong proactive and reactive communication with guests and prospective guests. We provide a robust welcome packet with info on how to respectfully enjoy our space and we know that guests rely on that info and my ability to respond quickly to questions or concerns. It's pretty rare that guests damage our belongings, but we do make claims on broken items. We do have a fire ring available to all guests. It's exactly as you'll see it in the picture on the listing. We do not allow dogs and are extremely disappointed to find out that guests disregard that rule even after asking despite the rule being clearly laid out. I'm sorry to hear that supplies were not found in the appropriate quantity. That's an oversight that not to our standard, but we could have provided replacements had we been notified of the issue. Learning of it in the review is not a way we can help during a guests stay. I highly encourage any guests to reach out to me about any specifics they have questions on. Thank you.

Fun spot!

We had a great time here. The property was very clean and well stocked. They had tons of games and activities for everyone of all ages, from card games to shuffle board, mini basketball hoop, darts, bags, sand toys, kickball, kayaks, the lilly pad… we enjoyed it all! We would come back again!

Playtime

The best grassy lakeside area for the kido's. Nice and soft barefoot grass. Soccer, football, kickball, baseball. Our kids nine and under but Moms & Dads and Grandpa playing along. An excellent beach with clean water and gradual slope. Hard sand bottom even past the roomy dock. Perfect for Lilly Pad and kid size kayaks (under 200 lbs max). Found some nice size Crappies off the dock. Very nice home with ample seating for meals. Kids on one table..adults another. Sleeping a little unique with two lofts and spiral staircase. Good contact with owner Tom. About 6 miles to closest bait & light grocery needs. Alexandria about 20 minutes. Had great weather and a real good time. Inside breaks a plenty with two TV's with plenty of Apps for the kids. Lots of good reviews including this one. Lots of reasons to like it. Playtime.

Pleasant Family Vacation

An enjoyable family vacation on the lake for fishing. Kids enjoyed swimming and use of lily pad. Unbelievable how clear the water can be. The property is as described. Tom was responsive and communication was good.
