The Break is a beautiful three-bedroom, two-and-a-half-bathroom vacation rental located in the Shorepine Village of Pacific City, Oregon. Cozy up next to the gas fireplace or head to the beach! This home is steps away from the beach via the unique wooden boardwalk, or to a short walk to the clubhouse featuring a fitness center, pool table, and an entertainment area. The house is also equipped with 4 adult cruiser bikes, one youth bike, a child's bike, and helmets for all. Come see what adventures await you at The Break!

All of The Break's bedrooms are located upstairs. The primary has a king-size bed with a private bathroom that has a double vanity and a two-person tile shower. Two guest bedrooms make this home's sleeping options easy to accommodate family and friends. The first guest room has a queen-size bed, and the second guest bedroom features two sets of twin-size bunk beds. There is another full bath upstairs for the two rooms to share and a half bath on the main floor. A great south exposure deck is complete with a gas BBQ!

Please note that boats, trailers, and RVs are unfortunately not permitted.

Great location

Loved being able to walk to everything! Great coffee at Cold Water and Coffee, good local market, great beach and trail access all made for easy stay where we didn’t drive the entire time we were there. Home was clean and seemed to need some repairs but overall did not impact our stay.

Short Walk to the Beach

We loved that the house was a short walk to the beach. We also loved that the amenities were also available for us to use such as the kitchen and bathroom items. It was home away from home!

Lovely family stay

We had a wonderful stay! There was plenty of space and items for our group of 4 adults and 3 young kids. You can tell a little bit that it a pet property - a chewed on blanket (may have even been left by someone) and pet hair in the carpet - but nothing out of the ordinary for being a pet friendly property. Very easy beach access and quick walk to town. Would book again!!

Family Getaway

The neighborhood was nice and quiet, and the proximity to the ocean was great. The house was a nice and clean and spacious for our stay. The only thing I didn’t know from the property description was the walk to the beach; it’s a steep downhill walking down the main pathway to the beach and then a steep walk back.

11 years in the making. PERFECTION

My kiddos and I had come to Pacific City 11 years ago with my parents and I fell in love with the town. It's taken us 11 years to get back with and take my husband with us. It was a last minute trip (would have stayed longer if there had been room) and LOVED the house, location and the BIKES made it just so special. Also the little deer in the backyard xoxoxo Will book this house again for SURE!!!!

Oregon Get Away

Great house and location. Never been to Oregon or Pacific City before and it was absolutely gorgeous. Love the neighborhood and location of the property. Boardwalk was right behind the house and easy walking distance. House provided multiple bikes for getting around if one wanted. Lots of space to spread out. Management was super responsive to questions. We are ready to return.

Terrible maintenance

Arrived to find the Code given for entrance was incorrect. Fortunately was able to reach help-line for real code. Found the wifi source and password were incorrect. Again, help-line was able to send tech. No instructions for how to turn on TVs (multiple remotes with no info). Tech help arrived just as we were leaving. After loading the dishwasher, found it was broken. So it is a nice house in a wonderful place, but the upkeep is awful. This rental, with "host fees and taxes , etc., was over $1,000 for 3 nights. Not too much to ask that things work.

Nice House- AWFUL Management

The house is like you see in the pictures. It is clean and the location is good with a strenuous walk to a nice beach. Unfortunately it is poorly maintained and dealing with the management company is not good at all. I have never left a bad review for a vacation rental but I would warn against renting anything managed by Oregon Beach Vacations. Almost everything wrong with the house was something that should have been repaired long ago: rotten deck boards; windows marked to not open because they were broke; a refrigerator door that was missing the shelving; and a high chair we were promised that was “no longer available”. In addition to the preexisting problems, the dishwasher broke on the second day we were there. But the worst part is the management company had to be contacted multiple times to get an answer about anything both before, during, and after our visit. I don’t know if they are understaffed or just don’t care but I have never had a worse experience with management. They were not rude, just very difficult to get any response from. It reaffirms my thinking that the best rentals are those managed by an owner. One thing that is kind of funny is that the king bed is REALLY tall. I’m 5’9 and it was level with my belly button. They do provide step stools on each side to get in (shown in the house photos) but it is odd for sure and probably not good if you are unsteady in the night.

Location!

We stayed for four nights and had a great time. Quiet neighborhood and a short walk to a beautiful beach. Plenty of space for the five of us and dinner guests.

Amazing stay at a lovely house

The house is ideal for a large family! It's well appointed, has amazing natural light and amazingly beautiful decorations. The beach is a very short and we really enjoyed the bikes on a sunny winter weekend.

Property was nice and clean and good location to the beach. Only complaint was the passcode sent to access the property was incorrect but this was fixed by simply calling the phone number provided

Warm, cozy and family friendly!

Great location & stay, poor wifi

Loved our stay, the space, and a prime location for the beach. Only drawbacks were very spotty wifi (we were hoping to do work from home meetings which weren't possible) and the heat was hard to gauge in the house. It was either very hot or very cold. These were minor inconveniences though and not an issue for someone looking for a complete escape
