The Peoples farm house located in the heart of North Liberty. Only a short 20 minutes from Kinnick Stadium or the University of Iowa hospitals in Iowa City.

The Space
This turn of the century farmhouse has been completely renovated with your weekend retreat in mind! This space sleeps 5 people with two bedrooms and a separate sitting room with a futon. You will find the two large and bright bedrooms that feature Luxury Vinyl Flooring throughout with comfortable queen beds – all brand new & so cozy! Each bedroom also offers storage and smart TVs to log into for when it’s time to wind down. The full bath features everything new including a walk-in tiled shower with linens & toiletries provided. A mini refrigerator and microwave are also provided to help make your stay more comfortable. Start your morning with a complimentary cup of coffee from our Keurig machine or take a quick stroll down the street for Brunch at Red’s Alehouse or J&A Tap!

If you’re wanting to explore the area, we are located only 15 minutes from Iowa City or Cedar Rapids with plenty of restaurants within walking distance. To explore a little more take a quick drive or hop in an Uber!

Property is clean, well maintained, great location. Easy access to everything. Beds were cheap, firm, not comfy. The breakfast nook is very tiny. I didn't realize how small it was. There is no space to hang out together in this VRBO. I felt I over paid for the space I got.

Expect farm feel, not at all. Very inconvenient accommodation. Should just market as sleep room(s). Hotel room would have been more accommodating with amenities, specially for price. Spotty WiFi. Would never recommend.

Graduation Weekend

This was perfect for us--3 sisters in our 50s. The stairs are steep and would be tough for someone with mobility issues. The place was very clean and we wanted a place that was listed as pet-free. North Liberty was a nice town to walk around--ice cream, restaurants, parks, etc. We suggest having a jug of water for the coffee maker, since there is only the bathroom sink. We really enjoyed our stay!

Peoples Farm

The property was just what we needed, but if we were patrons with any mobility issues it would not have worked. Steep stairs to access the bedrooms, and carrying luggage, could be difficult for many people.

An Iowa City place to stay if avoiding the pricey Iowa City Hotels

Pros: Price. Nice sized rooms. Very clean. Nicely decorated. Cons: Black flies. We were dodging black flies all weekend. Especially in the bathroom and sitting room. The beds were not very comfortable and the flat pillows were awful. (Sorry. I need to be honest.). The hallway wooden floors are beautiful but they squeak a lot, so if one couple is coming in later at night or one couple wants to sleep in a little, that’s difficult. The bedroom doors don’t latch tight. The bathroom ventilating fan was inoperable. There was no shampoo provided, although the ad says it’s provided. And the steep half steps going up to the unit make it difficult if you are a senior.

Great little getaway spot, but note there is no kitchen!

Enjoyed our stay. It was a perfect little spot, but I did not notice when I booked it that there is actually not a kitchen. I had brought food to cook, but that did not work! There is a small room that looks like a converted laundry room that has a coffee bar, a tiny fridge (about 1/2 the size of my dorm room frige) and a microwave. We made it work, but worth noting if you are like me and just assumed there is a kitchen! It's really more like a glorified hotel suite than what I think of as a traditional VRBO, but as long as you know that going into it, you're all good! When we arrived, the host sent me a note that the keyless entry system was not working, so she had left a key in the lock with a code on it. That was all good, but we could not get the lock to open with the provided code. Thankfully, she was only about 10 minutes away, so she came and let us in. She couldn't get the lock to open either, but then came back later and got it to work. Not really a big deal, just a little inconvenient. She also gave us some paper plates and plastic silverware since I told her that I didn't realize there wasn't a kitchen! The place is super cute. Decor is lovely and it worked great for our family other than the things mentioned. The location is fabulous - within walking distance to the park, ice cream shop, local eateries. We took our boat and went to Lake MacBride. It was gorgeous. I would stay there again for sure! Thank you so much!

We had a quick overnight stay, and this place worked out great for what we needed. It was clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed for a convenient stop. The only minor downside was some road traffic noise, but it may have been a bit busier than usual since we stayed around the July 4th holiday. Overall, we had a good experience and would recommend it for anyone looking for a comfortable place to stay.

We were looking for a place where we could stay together. We weren't planning to spend much time at the Vrbo so it fit our needs perfectly. FYI, this Vrbo does not have a table, stove, the refrigerator is dorm size and it's up a flight of stairs. If I were to bring small children a gate would be beneficial for the stairs. There was no table to play games, but this time it wasn't necessary for us. There is a couch in the area with the refrigerator and microwave. We absolutely would stay here again. It was super clean and had most bathroom necessities. It's a really cute little Vrbo and the host was very accommodating and so nice. I recommend this Vrbo 100%!
