Welcome to our beautiful custom home inside a quiet, gated community with private Lake Michigan beach access in South Haven. Our family has made great memories here and we invite you to make some of your own. We have everything you need for a wonderful vacation both inside and outside. We can also offer îCustomer Concierge service as an extra option for those who’d like to escape grocery shopping and cooking while on vacation😊. Huge open modern kitchen/dining/family area connects 2 screened porches which makes dining and entertaining a breeze for hosting dinners and with a gas fireplace in the living room to set the mood in the fall color months! Just a bike ride or short car ride to Van Buren State Park, De Grandchamps Blueberry Farm and downtown South Haven with wonderful shopping, restaurants, the Farmers Market and so much more. Outside, our home offers a fire pit, gas grill, outdoor shower to wash the sand off those toes and a play set in the woods for the little ones. Community Rules must be strictly followed and respect the owner neighbors and their properties, my property (rental property) and in beach area.
House is not to exceed 8 people at all times, unless approved. No parties or events on the rental property. No additional guests. NO FIREWORKS!.
No Pets are allowed! After firepit has been used, make sure to hose it down or dump water on the fire to extinguish. Property has fire extinguisher.

Fantastic Week

This is an amazing house with great features! The beds and linens are very comfortable. Everything is spotless in the house. The decor is beautiful and it’s got everything you could possibly need! The private beach is a great place to watch the sunset. The home is close to all the shops and restaurants as well as the public beaches. Linda is a fantastic host and excellent communicator! She makes sure everything is perfect!

Perfect location for families with little ones

Linda's property continues to be the perfect location for our group. We are 3 families who collectively have a 2, 3, 4, and 5 year old, so our priorities are little-kid-friendly aspects. The multi-level layout of the house allows us privacy for each family, with enough bedrooms for separate nap spaces, as well as adequate common space for when we just need the kids to pile onto the floor and watch Bluey for a second :) Kitchen was well stocked, rooms were clean, and Linda provided kid step stools, a travel crib, a high chair, and a beach wagon. Last year we stayed close to the rental, exploring the private beach and nearby creek, patronizing the SoHa farmer's market, and playing on the swing set in the backyard. This year, we made the quick drive over to Saugatuck to their fabulous public playground and cute shops, and also took a day to explore Holland (a very doable drive with young kids). Improvements to the house could include HVAC balancing, and perhaps blackout curtains. This was our second consecutive year here, and our group will happily return again if the opportunity arises!

Beautiful Lake House

Our family had a great time at this beautiful house just steps from Lake Michigan. The host was very accommodating and everything was extremely clean and well taken care of!

Perfect Vacation House

We had a fantastic week in South Haven! This lake home is impeccably clean, beautifully decorated and no detail is unforgotten! There is a lovely fire pit area with s’mores supplies and fire starter logs left for your use. The kitchen has every item you could ever need to cook. There are soft sheets on every bed and towels laid out for your use. The private beach is beautiful and the community is lovely. Thank you for a delightful week!

Perfect family lodging

Our group was a three-family gathering that included a 4 yo, 3yo, 2yo, and 1yo. Linda’s property was perfect for our stage of life. The parents who were “nap trapped” had a gorgeous, comfortable home to relax in, and the private beach access meant it was both easy to get to the beach with toddlers (and all their gear), as well as private enough to easily keep track of the kids. We had plenty of space for a family in the basement level and two families upstairs with each family having access to at least one full bathroom. The kitchen was beautiful and well stocked, and we especially loved mornings on the large screened porch. Kids loved the playground and back yard, as well as the creek that empties into the lake a little ways down the beach. The adults loved the quick access to DeGrandChamps Blueberry Farm, South Beach and lighthouse, large town playgrounds, and Barden’s Farm Market, as well as the conventional Meijer and Walmart grocery stores. Linda was exceptionally welcoming and helpful, stocking the house with a kid wagon, life vests, high chair, and pack n play for our visit, and she very quickly addressed any questions we had throughout the week. Our group tries to pick a new state every year for our annual summer vacations, but everyone agreed it won’t be our last time at this rental.

Wonderful stay

The house was beautiful and very spacious. We loved the kitchen and dining room and the screened in porch. The neighborhood was perfect and quiet and the beach was very nice. The chairs provided for the neighborhood were also great to have. The house was very clean and and we were welcomed into the home by a greeter who was very kind and checked in on us during the week. We had a great stay and would definitely come back!

Perfection!

We had a fantastic week! Despite weather that wasn’t the best and air quality alerts from the Canadian fires, we had a lovely place to retreat to when Mother Nature wasn’t cooperative! We would highly recommend this home - it is beautiful with high-end everything! The beds are so comfortable with lovely bedding, the kitchen is gorgeous, the screened porches allow you to enjoy the outdoors without the bugs, and the private beach is just a few steps away! We can not say enough good things about this property!

Welcome to the Blue House in Summers Gate! When my kids were all small and they grew up coming to the Michigan home in this community just south of South Haven. We spend summers on the beach, walking the lakeshore, kayaking in the lake, and exploring western Michigan, going to the various farmers markets and hanging out in South Haven and other towns on the western shore.

This community provides a wonderful retreat for relaxation, rejuvenation and spending quality time with friends and family. You can enjoy all that Michigan has to offer, with the quaint towns, orchards, wineries, lakefront beaches, kayaking and hiking and biking through the roads, communities, and on the Grand Haven trail. The porches provide a lot of extra space to entertain and have fun! 7 Day rental min. for summer months required!

Qué hace que este alojamiento sea especial

Lake Michigan access and private beach access to the upper and lower beaches and lookout chair area for sunset viewing in the evening. Two screened in porches, one for dining and one for relaxing. The doors leading out the the screened porches both open and then the area becomes a large open entertainment space. Dorm room for spread out sleeping space. The English garden is a beautiful view from all the front porch.
