Cozy river cabin, steps away from blue ribbon fishing hiking trails.

Just 7 miles from downtown Indian River, this rustic cabin sits a mere 25’ from the edge of the Pigeon River, a blue-ribbon trout stream popular with fly fishing anglers. It is a perfect 4 season get-away with easy year-round access. Enjoy snowmobiling, fishing or hunting footsteps from the door. It can be your home-base for exploring Northern Michigan - an easy drive to Petoskey, Mackinaw City, Cheboygan, Gaylord, and just minutes from Indian River and Burt Lake. It is very close to 5 Little Traverse Conservancy properties for those who enjoy hiking.
This 1940’s-built cabin is cozy - 2 bedrooms with a double bed in each. The screened-in porch is the perfect place to relax with a book and a beverage, or to simply listen to the River.
This is the ideal place to disconnect. There is no Wi-Fi, but a strong cell phone signal so a hotspot works well; the TV gets several PBS channels and sometimes network channels if the weather is perfect and the leaves have falln from the trees, . There is a DVD player and an eclectic collection of DVDs available. The bathroom has a shower only; there are overhead fans in all rooms as well as portable fans.

Perfect Getaway.

This cabin is clean, comfortable, and so relaxing. My favorite part of my stay was sitting in the screened porch with the views of the river. Very homey feel, and comfortable beds. Lots to do around the area and I would stay again.

Great stay - it’s the little things!

We were very happy with the care taken by the owner to make for a comfortable stay. Everything we ever could have needed - coffee, bottled waters, dog bowls!, you name it. Very charming cabin right on the water, with fire pit. Plenty of nice hiking spots within a short drive.

I booked this sweet little cabin for my bf’s Christmas/birthday present. We had a great little get away. The cabin is quaint and all 2 people need. Listening to the river every morning while drinking coffee made us want to stay longer!

Perfect Getaway!

The cabin was even better than we expected. Cozy, comfortable and perfectly set up. Host made communications a snap and we (and our pups) were made to feel right at home. We are already checking our calendar to plan a return trip this summer to enjoy the river even more.

Great place to stay! Quiet, although there was a cabin nearby no one was there making it the most peaceful 2 nights, with a majestic setting. Pigeon River with its sweet sound and warmth of a fireplace. Couldn't have been better.
