Siesta Key Rental

The place we stayed at was very nice, great location and reasonable price. In the back, there’s a dock you can walk out onto the bay, which was beautiful and very peaceful.

Perfect stay

My wife and two children loved our stay here very clean ! Had all the amenities needed! Clean pool close to the action for a great value! Communication was amazing our ac stopped working within an hour they had a company out and fixed. Exactly what you want when vacationing! Well worth the visit !

Our stay was enjoyable. Very close to the beach. Host supplied beach chairs and umbrellas which was great. Optional bike rental. Very comfortable and enjoyable time. Thank you for our stay. I would return to this home

Nothing to right home about

My husband and I stayed here for 12 days - a bit too long for these accommodations. We had never been to Siesta Key before and were excited for the stay based on friends' reviews of the destination. Let's just say that while many of this property's features are on the face described accurately, don't read anything extra between the lines, because it doesn't exist. And don't expect a tropical, sunny atmosphere. The apartment, its furnishings & inclusions were as described, but the interior was certainly not as fresh as it looks in photos. Upon entering the apartment, on the wall directly across from the front of the door is the full-sized washer & dryer, tucked into a closet space with no door (door removed to fit the appliances). I was happy to see that there was an extra sink in a dressing alcove in the bedroom until I turned on the water to the smell of rotting eggs. Seems there may be a water treatment system in place for the bathroom and kitchen but it obviously didn't extend to the extra sink. Another irritation was that the unit didn't have adequate internet service to support streaming shows or movies - we had to watch on our cellphone instead! One morning we were jolted out of our sleep at 5:30AM to a waste truck picking up trash/recycling right outside our unit - so loud. Long and short of it - condo meets basic needs, but I would stay elsewhere on a return trip to Siesta Key.

Hi Barb Thank you for your review. The WiFi is provided by HOA/Community and so is the trash service, and we have no control over the resorts internet or trash service. The Washer & Dryer are set up in all the units the same, as that's the only place they can be put. Thank you for giving us a 10/10 on the Property & Facilities.

Different than pictured

I’m not one to throw out negative reviews, but this property had some positive and negatives. It was not as advertised as in the pictures sadly. The pictures show a LR with plants, rug, etc, a welcome basket, a beach wagon with chairs, umbrella, etc, and bikes. For some reason the plants and rug were missing from the LR and was very bare and basic, no welcome basket, bike tires were dry rotted and flat, one of the umbrellas was shredded, which left alot to clean up (thankfully they had another one), beach chairs were camping chairs, the side tables in the bedroom were peeling off the top, some of the blinds were missing in the LR and the Internet didn’t work in the LR. Also, there was no hairdryer which would be a simple added touch. We realize after arriving it wasn’t stated on the website as not provided. However when asked about getting one provided the answer was no. We still felt comfortable in the place, we were just disappointed as we were hoping for this cute cozy place like the pics. Honestly the welcome basket, bikes and cute decor are what drew us to this place, so I’m not sure why things were taken away. Just thought maybe more detail would be paid attention to for the price. There were positives as well.. great location, trolley stop right outside the parking lot, close to alot of things, Bay area is beautiful, VERY nice people in Siesta. We wouldn’t mind staying again in the complex itself, but won’t be staying at this particular unit unless things are changed.

Pick any other place.

I will say this complex is fine, but find another host. The place is technically as described, note the bikes & other things pictured are new with the tags. They are now rusty and have flat tires. When doing the pullout couch on our first night there were cleanliness issues that in our medical field we would describe as biohazard waste. We couldn’t launder as detergent listed provided was not. No apology was issued, 21 hours later we got a screenshot of a wal mart order with new sheets. Fine we moved on. The second night the ceiling fan popped when we turned the speed down. We lost tv, internet, fan & outlets in just that main living room area. No other tenants said they had power issues. Again no apology, only instructions of how to get into the breaker box. We flipped the switches & got tv and outlet use (no internet or fan still). We later plugged in the provided hair dryer & then lost all power to the bedroom & bathroom. 7 hours later they sent an electrician that was their friend who later slandered us to the host with inflammatory statements. He did work to make light fixes but confirmed that the fan would need replaced at a later time. After 15-20 compiled stays between VRBO and other platform this is my first bad review or even less that 4 star rating I really would not recommend this stay to anyone. Aside from issues above, the lack of accountability being replaced with untrue statements & finger pointing at us was horrible. The move to a new location was worth it

You jammed your curling iron into the bathroom outlet so hard it created a short and burned out the whole breaker. We sent an electrician over on the weekend, who said you clearly told him what you did and admitted it to him when he saw the outlet. He then told his company who called us and said you verbally abused him. VRBO 100% sided with us after seeing all the proof from the electricians company and everything we did to accomodate you even though you were completely at fault. By the way, a spot of dirt on a couch cushion is not a biohazard! LOL And you're welcome that we immediately sent you brand new pillows and sheets so that you're stay would be enjoyable! Hopefully future VRBO Owners will decline your request to stay, as you tried to scam both VRBO & us asking for a full refund, that VRBO Denied! Have a Great Summer!

You're a VRBO Host worst guest. You didn't know how to operate the Keyless Keypad or the lockbox with the Key in it, so you went and got a hotel for the night. We then refunded you 1 night stay plus your Uber and you still give us a 1 star! Hopefully future VRBO hosts will deny you staying at their homes so they don't have to deal with your nonsense! Have a Merry Christmas!
