This is a great location, it is well stocked, it was clean. However, from the description it was not clear this is a bottom floor unit with a top floor vacation rental above it.

A piece of heaven

We had a wonderful time in this quiet and well stocked home. It was a short walk to the beach which was stunning. The proximity to the town was great and we were able to see the Redwoods and have a seaside getaway at the same time. We would absolutely stay here again. The home was comfortable and the beds were great!

Awesome Family Stay

Newly remodeled, clean and well equipped. Close to coast. Beautiful location. We had a wonderful stay with our 2 little ones.

Pros: Appears newly remodeled - nice decor, furnishings, high-end appliances. Location is close to the beach and redwoods. Unit was overall very clean and well stocked (like that they provided good quality shampoo/body wash, coffee filters, etc.). Cons: Post is a bit misleading in that suite is a converted shop/basement unit (not the entire home pictured). Has converted shop/basement moisture and musty smell (we kept windows open throughout our stay). Can hear every noise from upstairs when there are other guests up there. Rugs and sofas could use a cleaning. Overall, a nice place to stay while sight seeing I the area, but couldn’t stay again due to my personal sensitivity to byproducts of environments that have a lot of moisture.

Lovely place and great location!

We really enjoyed our stay. The home was clean, well stocked, very comfortable and larger than we expected. Being able to walk down to the beach for sunsets was amazing. And we also loved how close we were to Redwood National and State parks. We would go back here anytime!

Great location

Excellent location and a very clean and updated property. It was a little noisy when people were upstairs in a different unit, but overall it was a great place to stay.

Location, Location, Location

We very much enjoyed our stay. Easily able to walk to the beach from the property. The location was great! Clean and comfortable. Would recommend to others and would rent again on our next stay. There was an upstairs neighbor at this property and we could hear a child running around upstairs. That did not bother us as we have children, but if you are looking for extreme quiet, you might want to book another property.

Perfect Pacific Retreat

Our stay was amazing and the apartment had everything and more for a family of 4. The only downside was the early morning running and jumping from the top floor renters‘ kiddo. Maybe adding a ‘please be kind and courteous on the top floor’ sign might help?!

Great place to see the redwoods

Everything was new & clean. Very comfortable and close to the redwoods. I didn’t really communicate with the manager so not sure why I had to give a rating. But they have you text the cleaning person when you leave.

The house was great! Clean, cute, and very comfortable. I hate all the chores that need to be done when checking out tho. We dont do that at hotels and we are also paying a cleaning fee so why do i need to half of it?

Crescent City Stay

The listing for this property was accurate. The couch arm was broken and the host was sure to reach out and let us know about this before we arrived. It had zero impact on our stay. The house is actually part of a duplex. It is the downstairs part of the building. There is a lot next door that is empty. It had lots of overgrowth but it did not bother us. In fact, we got to see a hummingbird outside the kitchen window enjoying the wild flowers and tree there. The house is a very short walk or drive to two different beach accesses. We were there during an extreme low tide one morning and got to explore the tide pools. We saw sea stars and other sea anemones

Clean, Modern, Close to Ocean, Unremarkable

This property calls itself a "suite"; it is the lower story unit of what appears to be a 2-unit property/house. While we had no noise issues at all with occupants above us, this situation did not seem consistent with its mention as "entire house" in the listing, and so the listing could be more transparent about the situation IMO. The suite is squeaky clean and very modern, including a dishwasher which is always a plus and not a given in a small rental. It also has notably good lighting. The location is very good within Crescent City--basically second row of houses from the beach--but one could be completely unaware of that fact by the relative paucity of windows and the high wooden fence in the backyard...once inside, the property feels like it could be anywhere, which seems unfortunate. That said, the property appeared exactly as pictured inside and met our needs for a short stay.

Nice clean place but the couch was all smashed in on one side when we arrived. When I reached out to the property manager his response was “we know about it”. Over grown yard next door and grill was inoperative. We asked for a refresh on the propane and were told they don’t do that it was up to us to replace a 20 gallon tank for 1 meal. I normally wouldn’t care but we had already bought steaks for the whole group. No outdoor seating and it stated beachside and it is over a block away from a rock cliff.
