Newly remodeled Villa La Perla brings design to the beach. From morning coffee bar, butlers pantry, wet bar and kitchen pass-through window seating to the pool, this tastefully designed home will have you delighted every moment of your stay.
The villa has ocean views from the 50ft wide terrace, and is just a 2minute walk to the beach. Fase 1 Playacar has 24/7 private security and is gated from the public.
You will also find ancient Mayan ruins just across the street to explore!

The house was incredible - exactly as pictured, but somehow even more beautiful in person! The kitchen is spacious and well-equipped, making it easy to cook and fully enjoy the property without needing to go out. We hired a private chef one night that the property owners recommended, and she was incredible! There is a lot of natural light thanks to all the windows, while the greenery still gives it a very private and secluded feel.The gated community also felt very safe, with security and plenty of other tourists around, which added an extra level of comfort.11/10 would absolutely recommend booking this property!

Beautiful House, Safe Area, Close to Town

The house looks like something out of a magazine. While town and beach are close, the house is almost its own attraction. We relaxed around the pool in the quiet neighborhood. We stayed as part of a SCUBA trip to Playa, but this is a house that would be well-suited to a family on an extended stay.

Very very happy with this property

I had to rent 4 properties in this area and they were all excellent 5 star ratings but this property stood out. It was the best of all 4 properties. Management was great to deal with. I was a little worried because this was my first time using VRBO and they were pretty patient with me navigating through the process.

The design of the house is beautiful, however not functional for a group of 10 because of the bathrooms. There are 2 en suite bathrooms and another single bathroom for all others to share. It ended up being 6 of us trying to share a single bathroom. We thought we could share the en suite bathrooms but it wasn't easy if someone was in the room, the door was closed, or during bedtime. The house is also at the end of the Playa Car gated community, which is just short of a mile to get to the front entrance. Even though there are a lot of shops and places to eat just outside the gated community, it wasn't easy to walk that distance. The actual distance is not hard to walk, it’s the heat that will leave you a sweaty mess once you get to your destination. Parking is really difficult, and the parking app did not work with international credit cards, so you have to carry around change, and no bills. If you want to take a cab you still have to walk to the front gate as cabs are not allowed into the community without a guest in the car. We ate out for most of our meals, so we ventured to town a lot, and would have probably selected a place closer to the front gate for convinience.

Overall nice but… the details & AC matter; a lot!

Overall the property was quite nice. The pool area was beautiful, the rooms were clean and the location was ideal for our family vacation. The communication with the owner swift and they addressed our concerns once they were brought up. However, there were some “issues”. Upon our arrival, there was no running water. In fact, we didn’t have water for the first 24 hours. It was an oversight but seemed odd that it was not checked before our arrival. Secondly, it took hours for the house to get cooled down on our first night, which made sleeping very difficult. Additionally, the owner asked us multiple, multiple times to turn over the AC every time we left the property. This was not practical because it was very hot and the constant requests seemed abrasive. Lastly, the onsite attendant kept showing up at the house to “water.” This was often intrusive and seemed like it was being done to verify that things in the house were in order; not simply to water the plants. Please consider buying water bulbs, so that an attendant doesn’t need to enter the house while guests are using the unit.
