Excellent host and communication. Beautiful views and easy access to shops/restaurants. Only negative is we had issues with toilets/plumbing the whole time.

The beach/ocean photos on VRBO do not match the property. There is technically no beach. The ocean water is literally a few feet from the house. The abundance of sargassum/seaweed in the ocean made the water appear murky and brown. We did not get into the ocean. Thankfully, the pool was clean, but did not appear as an infinity pool as advertised since it was never filled with enough water to overflow as an infinity pool should. The house is pretty run-down due to lack of maintenance. The master shower drain was clogged, one sink faucet had low water pressure, the other sink faucet shot water out in all directions. The master bedroom ceiling fan didn't work. None of the shades and blinds throughout the house opened fully/properly, and were old and dirty. There were dead bugs on the floor in the master bedroom, and my son found a live roach in the kitchen that he killed. The hallway bathroom toilet and sink both leaked and when we informed the property manager, he sent someone to place a bucket under the sink to catch the water for the rest of the trip. The master bedroom toilet didn't flush properly. There were live ants on the kitchen counters we had to kill throughout our stay. The coffee maker and pots and pans were outdated. It seems as though the owner of the property invested in remodeling the house, and has invested 0 since then in upkeep/maintenance of the property. Needless to say, we will not stay at this property again and do not recommend it.

Our stay was so delightful and everything we wanted. Restful, beautiful, and that VIEW! The house was very well appointed and extremely comfortable with a brand new king size mattress in the primary. Jorge was helpful and responsive, and we hope to return again soon.

We consider this our home in Playa. I don't know exactly how many times we've stayed here, at least five times.We love the location, right on the beach and close to town. The owners are very responsive as is the property manager, Jorge.We will be back!

5 Night stay

The home description is accurate, Jorge the house manager was AMAZING! He helped set up bikes, groceries, and massages. The house was a great location being able to walk to shopping/restaurants. The pool was great! You don't get any shade until around noon under the back patio, I wish there was more comfortable seating, maybe some cushions for the patio furniture. The beds were comfortable, lots of comfortable pillows in the house. We will come back!

Beautiful Relaxing Location

We've stayed in a lot of VRBOs around the world and this one was the closest we've ever stayed near the actual ocean, e.g., the tide normally comes within 25' feet of the infinity pool. The property location is also only a ten minute walk from the ferry terminal and Quinta Avenida, which is where pretty much everything happens here nearby. The house was perfect for a family size of 4-6. Jorge, our host was kind of enough to coordinate for our groceries, a massage and for a personal chef-cooked meal for our Thanksgiving (Chef Moti did a wonderful job of customizing and preparing our selected Mexican dish). We would definitely come back to this property again in the future.

Perfect Paradise

Our family gathered at Casa Moskito for a perfect getaway. Location was perfect, views were spectacular and service outstanding. Perfect location with lots of privacy but still close to Playa where we were able to go out and walk to local restaurants with out a crowded hotel. Property manager Jorge helped us get set up with all we needed. His communication and love for a Mexico was a gift. The house needs just a little TLC but the views and amenities were perfect. If you want a luxury like a Ritz this is not for you. If you want paradise and perfect spot with everything you need this is perfect.

Women’s Birthday Weekend

This property is amazing and better than imagined. It’s just steps away from the beach and the property manager Jorge is very hands on in the right way. Gave me a tour of bedrooms and showed how to work/access the property necessities. If you need anything, just ask Jorge arranged i’m masseuse and introduced us to 2 chef’s that prepared a birthday dinner. Property is in a gated community and a short walk to the Ferry and Calle Cinco. Need a good restaurant to eat at? Well, he nailed that too.

Casa Moskito is a gem

Our stay at Casa Moskito was amazing. Waking up every morning to the beautiful views of the ocean. The house was spacious and Jorge was very helpful with making our stay very comfortable. We will definitely be back!

Amazing family vacation spot!

Apartment was the perfect size for 5 adults and could have held 6 no problem. Everyone has their own space, and never felt like we were on top of each other. Everything was very clean and AC worked like a champ! Jorge was a fantastic host and was super accommodating. The neighborhood is very safe - guards everywhere and the location is close enough for shopping and wandering but far enough from the constant “marcha”. Definitely recommend and will keep Casa Moskito on my list for the next trip.

Great place for two parents and four teens. Easy walk to PDC. Excellent support from concierge (Jorge). As noted in other reviews, the beach has eroded in front of the house. Bad for access, but good for privacy. We would gladly return!

Week long getaway

5 Stars! Great location and property! Exactly as advertised. Very clean and not too much wear and tear. View was spectacular. Swimming was fantastic. Easy walk to 5th Ave. shops and dining. Jorge was a great host. Highly recommend Chef Edgar Ramirez (IG:@cheframirezedgar) who cooked 2 amazing meals for our group. Would book again.

Perfection! Fabiola and Adrian were such a bonus and we loved everything they made. Teresa was very thorough and nice. The kids loved the pool. Comfy beds and pillows and I’m picky about pillows so that was great. We really would love to come back…..it was hard to leave.

I think this was our 3rd or 4th stay. Super location, easy walk to shops and restaurants. Jorge makes a great host. Only issue was the sargassum on the beach but certainly not anything our hosts could have done. We'll be back.

Incredible view, ideal location, impeccable property

We thoroughly enjoyed our week with our two teenagers at Casa Moskito. Prior to our arrival, the house manager Jorge was incredibly helpful with referrals for everything from excursions to dining reservations to airport transportation to private chefs. He speaks excellent English and Spanish and was happy to communicate with us in either language. Once we arrived at Casa Moskito, everything was exactly as we had expected based on the listing. The space was impeccably clean and perfect for our needs. The home is RIGHT on the beach in a safe and quiet neighborhood and an easy 10 minute walk from all of the shops, restaurants and nightlife on Quinta Avenida. The lap pool is lovely for a cooling dip as well. We’ll definitely be back again!

Rave reviews...

Adding something new to all of the rave reviews that Casa Moskito gets is very challenging. The property worked perfectly for us as a family. Jorge is sensational as a host and we followed his recommendations which proved to be spot on! Memorable vacation for lots of reasons but the most is that the 7-year-old learned to snorkel in the pool. It is large enough that she "had to" swim at one end yet she felt safe in having steps and places to grab along the short lane. She wrote "Gracias, Casa Moskito" in the house diary. She also wrote in her personal journal every day about something special at the house. Can't say enough good things about this vacation rental. Very grateful for a peaceful, restful week!
