Welcome to our Ocean-View Historical Fort Fisher Barrack Unit A!

This charmingly renovated studio, ideally situated just steps away from beach access, presents a meticulously reimagined cottage featuring a well-appointed living space, dining area, bathroom, and a plush Queen size bed. Begin your day with a cup of coffee or unwind with a cocktail on the ocean-view patio during the enchanting golden hour. The patio is furnished with two Adirondack chairs, a table, and an umbrella, offering a serene setting to revel in the soothing sounds of crashing waves. Enhancing your experience, a fire pit awaits for cozy gatherings and a charcoal Weber BBQ stands ready for your convenience.

The kitchen space is equipped with modern amenities, including an induction cooktop, microwave, refrigerator, Keurig coffee machine, toaster, vintage dinnerware, and silverware for four. Our thoughtful coffee station is stocked with 4 kcups, creamer, sugar/0-calorie sweetener, tea, and some delightful snacks for your enjoyment. For those inclined to dine out, we are conveniently located near restaurants such as The Spot, Granny’s Country Kitchen, and the exceptional Ocean Sands Tiki Bar.

Within the living and bedroom areas, a tastefully appointed table and two chairs, a three-drawer dresser, a storage bench and a closet nook provide both functionality and comfort. An AC/Heat unit ensures your optimal comfort throughout your stay.

While in Carolina Beach, explore the local activities, whether it be surf fishing, bodyboarding, or collecting beautiful shells to commemorate your special visit.

For your convenience, this unit features keyless entry and a contactless check-in process. Please note that this unit is designated as non-smoking, and no pets are allowed. Check-in time is at 3 PM, and check-out is at 11 AM.

Great Stay

My wife and I stayed 2 nights and the property was perfect for us. Convenient to the beach and all the activities. The host was awesome. The communication was great. Will definitely stay there again.

5-Star Historic Bungalow with easy beach access!

I rented this bungalow for a visiting family member. Every aspect of the stay was top-notch and an incredible value for the location. Would definitely rent this again.

this place was perfect for what ended up being a solo trip! the manager was easy to contact and helpful, the area was beautiful and the place itself was perfect for one-two people. i’ll definitely stay here again if i come back!

The Perfect Getaway

The studio had everything we needed and more. It was perfect for our weekend getaway and the personal touch of a handwritten note and fresh flowers was just over the top amazing. We will definitely be back. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

Well-located and quaint!

Exactly what my wife and I needed for a quick beach weekend. Perfectly located, cozy and comfortable, and excellent communication. Other than the shower being a liiiittle tight for a big guy, it was everything we needed it to be. Would definitely stay here again - right across the street from a beach access and a number of great walkable restaurants.

This place was perfect for a short getaway! It’s very clean and is stocked with everything needed. The owner responds quickly to questions. It is just a two minute walk to the beach. I would definitely stay there again!

Wonderful place to stay

We arrived a little after 3 and got in to the property very easily. Lierin was very responsive and always answered any questions that we had about the property leading up to us coming to stay. Had everything we needed to be comfortable and happy. Will definitely try to book with Lierin again if we get the chance.

Sweet little spot

We had a wonderful stay in this sweet studio. The place was so cute and spotless. The bedding and towels were so nice and comfortable. The kitchen had all the necessary items and the bathroom was also stocked with bath items. The flowers, ice cream bars, dry snacks and personal note were such a great touch. Would highly recommend.

Weekend getaway

My daughter and I came for the weekend for her birthday. The rental is nice and clean and the host was amazing! When we got there, there was flowers and a handwritten card telling my daughter happy B-day along with birthday popcorn for her. 10/10 experience all together!:)

Love it!

My boyfriend and I was celebrating my birthday. The place was neat, well organized. The ice cream, bars were a nice plus. Bed was very comfortable. My boyfriend is a veteran so he enjoyed reading historical info about the barrack. We plan on visiting again in a few months if available at the time. Thank you for the hospitality!

Great Communication

Unfortunately due to a family emergency I was not able to come for my original booking, but I know the area well, and know the owners have done a great job with their updates. Our hostess, Lierin was amazing to work with. She was quick to respond and very empathetic to my situation and willing to work with me. I can’t wait to come stay once my mom is better!!

This historic property came about in trying to preserve this little piece of Pleasure Island. As it was an actual functioning Barrack at Fort Fisher during WWII, it then was sold off and transported to its current location in 1942. Redone to provide a beautiful and peaceful stay across from the beach, its roots are still grounded in this amazing little island that brings so many families and friends to make memories each year.
