Great location, good neighborhood and plenty of room for parking. All the amenities included and lots of space. The living room furniture could be upgraded but add adequate. Would recommend.

Handy for the beaches and downtown

A tough neighborhood to find beauty, but a couple of blocks and your on main st which has everything. A short drive and your toes are in the sand. If you’re looking for a basic, no frills experience to lay your head after a day in the sun. This is the place for you. And the owner helped me retrieve a couple of lost items too! Friendly and professional all the way!

Authentic Sarasota Stay with Essential Comforts

Recently I stayed at this Sarasota property while moving. Think of it like an older Honda Civic: reliable, straightforward, and without unnecessary frills. As a local who values simplicity, I appreciated its straightforward amenities. Over my nearly two-week stay, I found it equipped with all the essentials I needed. The kitchen was adequate to cook 3 meals a day in and the fenced-in backyard and outdoor area were a particular highlight for me, providing a serene space to relax. Its location in one of the remaining pockets of old Sarasota is both charming and genuine, offering an escape from the more gentrified parts of town. For those in search of authenticity and function, and don’t care to over pay for cheap livelaughlove decor and a keurig they won’t use this is your spot. Highly recommended!

Need no car

Came to Sarasota to attend Orioles Spring Training for a week. Decided to not rent a car but to use the bus system. The location of this house was perfect for that because it is less than a block from two major bus routes- one going north and south- one going East and West. The house is modest and the neighborhood is modest but we felt comfortable and safe. The major restaurant district was within walking distance- less than a mile but we managed that easily and we are in our mid seventies. The entrance to the house requires one to be steady on one’s feet as it is a steep ramp of about 4 feet long.

Downtown Sarasota

Great location. Went to several walking distance restaurants. Cooked breakfast at the house. Beds extremely comfortable. Clean place. Easy to keep it that way. The host were responsive and did fix a washing machine leak we discovered when we arrived. The kitchen was ideal for our needs. The stove, microwave, and refrigerator were near new. Shower was good with hot water and adequate pressure. We did sit outside for breakfast in the enclosed yard. Neighbors were mostly quiet. No loud music. We could get around pretty good with easy access to fruit ille and via that to tamiami. We strolled the nearby legacy trail and Payne park. Grocery shopping and pharmacy right up the street

Fine for people who are working in sarasota for a couple weeks

We are used to staying near the beach in florida. This was too far away. The property allows a pet(we had a 30 pound dog) and on 3 occasions the host said how much it would cost if anything was damaged by my dog. The plates, cups and bowls all had chips and broken handles. Several floor tiles were broken and pots and pans were old. There were neighbors who were constantly creating ruckus after 12:00 midnight. Tile flooring throughout and walking bare foot on it, caused very dirty feet. Do not recommend for a vacation.

Very early on, we reached out and VRBO had to intervene to get a response to see if we could extend our stay.The unit is spacious and the baths newly redone. Two refrigerator door bins are seriously broken, and a door on the armoire is hanging loose. We reported these and never received a response. It was chilly the night we arrived, and when we turned on the heat there was an awful odor- had to open both exit doors to air it out. The mattress I slept on has a major stain. Both couches (futons) are very uncomfortable. The main one has large rips in the Naugahyde. The cookware is almost useless-being concave on the bottom it doesn’t make proper contact with the cooking surface. The electronic door lock quit working one evening. Our host told us his repairman would be around in a couple of hours. rather than forfeit our evening plans, we asked that a key be left outside for us, we locked up from the inside, took all our electronics and valuables back to the car and climbed out the window. A key was left; but our host never responded as to when someone would be by to make the repair, so day after day we felt compelled to keep taking our valuable with us each day. The neighbor’s dog barks every morning and night. The TV remote in the master bedroom doesn’t work properly. We couldn’t figure it out and new batteries didn’t help.
