Luxury Lakefront Home on Lake Burton

Charming waterfront bungalow on beautiful and prestigious Lake Burton in North Georgia. Two I Master bedrooms on Main floor with king beds with waterfront view and private bathrooms. Each of these Master bedrooms have an attached private sleeping room with a twin trundle bed that sleeps two. Third Master bedroom on second level with waterfront view with king bed and twin trundle bed that sleeps two. All new furnishings throughout the house with all the comforts of home including well equipped kitchen. Satellite TV, Smart TV’s and Wi-Fi internet connection are available. Gas burning fireplace in the Family room and electric fireplaces in each bedroom for cozy nights indoors or gather around the fire-pit outside. Boathouse with covered and exposed deck for sunbathing and outdoor dining. Swimming and fishing right off of dock. Playroom with ping pong, indoor shuffleboard table, pac man, TV. Outdoor basketball goal and level yard for children's play. Boathouse has extra slip for rental boat if desired (rentals available at two marinas on the lake--La Prade's and Anchorage, each about a 12 minute ride by boat.)

Spend warm summer days swimming in low traffic cove and cool summer nights on the covered boathouse. September on Lake Burton is quiet and ideal for swimming and enjoying the last days of summer. Come back for the stunning fall foliage and harvest time visits to the vineyards. Return for romantic winter getaways ideal for hiking in state parks and lounging by the fire.

Only 45 minutes to antiquing and fine dining in Highlands, NC, or take the day and head to Asheville NC via the scenic Blue Ridge Parkway. Short drive to the German Alpine Village of Helen, GA to visit shop or tube down the Chattahoochee River. Experience the thrill of a zip line tour in the forest canopy or whitewater rafting. Or slow time down with a horseback ride through national forest. State Parks are brimming with natural beauty of the forest, streams and waterfalls. Hanging out on the porch all day with a good book works too!

It’s a beautiful place. The deck above the boathouse was spectacular for morning coffee and the sunrise over the lake. Fire pit at night. Fireplace inside has a cozy vibe. And there is something about a hot tub and 34 that is amazing. We were here for Thanksgiving and loved our stay

This was our second time staying in this lovely home, and we enjoyed it immensely! This has to be one of the best options for families in Lake Burton. The location is great for swimming, it’s quiet and safe, with lots of fun toys. The rooftop of the boathouse has amazing views, comfortable seating and you can even enjoy it in a light rain. The fire pit is amazing, and it was nice that there was firewood there already. The hot tub was a new edition, and it was great. Sparkling clean and so comfortable to sit in!

Beautiful location. Quiet cove. Easy access with pontoon boat. Listing just as described. Had many meals on the covered deck above the boat house with the lovely views. Owner was extremely pleasant and helpful and easy to reach by phone with any questions. Family wants to return next summer. We highly recommend.

Beautiful Space, Helpful Host

The house was pretty, albeit missing a few updates such as the outdoor patio off the second story bedroom being walled with plywood. The boathouse, deck, fire pit, and kitchen were wonderful! The host was very communicative and accessible. The listing indicates 5 bedrooms, and 2 of the bedrooms were actually bonus rooms inside of 2 full bedroom suites. This worked fine for us, and could be clearer for guests seeking 5 separate rooms. The beds were so comfortable and every guest raved about the pillows. The cove is gorgeous and calm. It is also narrow and with a dock that only allows tie up on one side, I’d be prepared to have at least moderate experience docking vessels. We took advantage of the hot tub, grill, and kitchen and enjoyed them all. The garage offered a wonderful change of pace with some games for the family to play together when we experienced some rainy weather such as ping pong and Pac-Man. The overall experience was great for our family.

Best family spot on Lake Burton!

This our third time to rent this property and won’t be our last. It is truly one of the best spots for families with kids on the lake…a quiet cove, tons of water toys, big comfortable boat house just steps from the main house, hot tub, fire pit, ping pong, etc. What’s not to love??

First Class & Beautiful!

This property is great! We stayed over Thanksgiving and had a wonderful getaway with our family. The house is beautifully and tastefully decorated with a luxury feel. We had 10 people total and everyone had their own bed. We were surprised at first by the way the bedrooms were laid out, but it was our own fault for not reading the description more closely. There are 3 main bedrooms, all with a private bath. The 2 bedrooms on the main floor each have an alcove separated by a barn style door. The alcoves have a day bed with a trundle, and also have their own tv. So, they serve as a separate bedroom space but have to be accessed through the bedroom they are attached to. I do believe they each have a door to the outside deck as well. It was not a probem for our group because we were all family. All of the bedrooms and baths are beautiful and updated, but the upstairs master suite was amazing! It has windows all around and a gorgeous view of the lake. Also has a private screened porch! There are amenities galore...our boys thoroughly enjoyed the gameroom and sitting around the fire pit. We were even able to enjoy sitting out on the upstairs deck by the lake one afternoon. Our only regret was not booking this during warmer weather! We cant wait to come back! Thank you for a wonderful stay. It couldn't have been better for our family to unplug for a few days❤️

Excellent Fall Break

My family and I (6 adults; 1 child) spent fall break at Lake Burton. This house was perfect for us! The owner was extremely helpful and very responsive, both prior to and during our stay. The house was very well equipped. The kitchen had every item/utensil we could possibly need and they were in excellent condition. The owners have thought of so many details, including charging stations next to each bed and throughout the living room, cushions for outdoor use, soft blankets, games. The house was very clean. The sheets and towels were great quality and super soft. I actually think the house is better then the pictures reflect. While the listing notes the house is 5 bedrooms, make sure you read the full description. Two of the "bedrooms" are off-shoots of the two masters on the main floor and separated by a sliding door (they aren't actually separate bedrooms). This didn't impact us at all but something to be aware of. We loved the house and property so much we are considering returning this summer.

Great place for our family/friends vacation!

Suzette’s home is fantastic. Such a great layout for family and friends. It was very clean, great use of space, the boat house and outdoors relaxing spots were awesome. She was incredibly easy to communicate with and very attentive during our stay. Would highly recommend staying there and we will definitely return!

Beautiful House!

We had the most amazing fourth of july at this property. The house was very clean and spacious and the garage games and basketball hoop were an awesome touch! Not to mention you really can’t beat the view overlooking the water from the top deck. The host and I were both traveling for the holiday so communication wasn’t at its best, but overall had an amazing experience!

All the comforts of home!

This home is made for entertaining with tons of indoor and outdoor space for relaxing and enjoying the gorgeous sunsets. We loved the fun and stylish decor, comfortable beds, and fully outfitted kitchen. The canal is quiet and peaceful and was the perfect launching spot for our paddleboard. We also appreciated the dock for loading and unloading the boat that we rented from the nearby marina. We spent each day on the lake but were happy to note the many games and TV's for entertainment in case of rain. It was fun to play PacMan and table shuffleboard in the gameroom/garage. The homeowner was lovely to work with and went out of her way to make sure we were comfortable and to answer any questions we might have about the property. We'll be back!!

Amazing Thanksgiving Family Getaway!

Anyone looking for a great view and experience look no further than this Lakefront home on Lake Burton. The location and views are unbeatable (even for winter months). The property is spacious and comfortable with any number of "mini-escapes" such as the gameroom, firepit, or multiple outdoor seating areas. The interior layout flows well for large crowds but maintains "coziness" throughout - the fireplace during the cool/damp weather was amazing and no one missed the lake time at all. The kitchen is well-equipped and perfectly set up for cooking and dining experiences - large group or small. Suzette and Stan were amazing hosts and super communicative (even though it was a holiday week) - we greatly appreciated that. Plenty of restaurants and outdoor fun to be had with this location. We highly recommend this property and look forward to the next visit!!!! Thanks Suzette and Stan for sharing your amazing property!

Relaxing girls trip

For our 10th Annual girls trip we enjoyed a relaxing stay at the Burton Bungalow. The kitchen was well equipped for meals at home. Lots of floats, lilly pad and paddle boards for the lake. We rented a boat from Anchorage, which is a 15-20 boat ride from the house. Nice fire pit and deck for outside lounging. Warning to future renters checking out on Sunday-check out time is 11, all trash has to be removed from the house and the dump doesn’t open til 12. A little bit of a challenge for people needing to leave early for flights etc. Overall a beautiful house and lake for a vacation! Thank you!

We loved this home and location! Each year our family select a new lake house to visit and this Lake Burton home was our all-time favorite! So much to see and do in the area. The home layout if perfect for families too! We had 8 adults 2 children...space for all!

Love this spot!

This is our second time staying in the Burton Bungalow and just like last time, our vacation was perfect. If you are traveling with kids, this location and set-up can’t be beat. The large loft-style bedroom upstairs was ideal for three teen boys, one of the downstairs bedrooms plus sleeping porch housed four girls ages 14-18, and the third bedroom my husband and I enjoyed. The quiet little cove was great for paddle-boarding and kayaking. We ate every meal on the top of the boat house - there is ample seating and beautiful views in both directions, plus the walk from the house to the boat house is about ten steps. Cards and board games were played up there, as well. In addition to all the fun on the lake, this house has converted the garage into a game room. A lot of ping pong was played. The boys also enjoyed the basketball hoop. The kitchen was well stocked and I had no trouble cooking for 9. If you are considering renting this home, don’t hesitate!
