INITIAL SUPPLIES - UPON ARRIVAL
Panhandle Getaways furnishes a few essential items for guests to utilize until they can get to the grocery store. Initial Supplies include: Dishwasher soap, small washing machine powder, each bathroom has amenities (like hotel but NOT restocked) shampoo, conditioner, soap bar and body wash. One roll of toilet paper in each bathroom & one paper towel roll in the kitchen. All bed linens & towels are provided. We encourage guests to bring beach towels for use at the pool and beach.

No Elevator (but nice overall)

This unit is on the 4th floor in a building where the elevators that, according to other tenants on property, have not been working for quite some time. It is my opinion that this should be made much more clear on the booking site as I certainly never saw a disclaimer. We arrived with lots of luggage and groceries that needed to be refrigerated, and it took us approximately 30 minutes to carry everything up the 4 flights of stairs. Huge disappointment after a long day of travel. There has also been what appears to be some kind of infrastructure construction on every balcony with unfinished wood beams that are not pictured on the booking site. It dramatically changes the appearance of the condos in a negative way, and the sawdust was all over the balcony. The actual interior of the unit is exactly as pictured, and it is very lovely. The property management is very prompt in their responses, so that does provide some peace of mind. The oven wasn’t working, and they did have maintenance come and fix it in a timely manner. They do need new beach chairs, a spatula, and they don’t provide any salt/pepper, cooking spray, laundry pods or dishwashing pods. They do provide lots of bath towels, bathroom toiletries/soaps, and lots of dishware. The gym is decent, and the pools are lovely. Overall I would potentially recommend this place to others if the elevator gets fixed. That was just a big disappointment.

Great Stay

Apartment has huge bedrooms and bathrooms, very clean and very nicely decorated. Complex has an incredible pool and hot tub and gym and there is even a breakfast restaurant downstairs. It’s a 5 minute walk to the beach. I would stay again. Just FYI tho, this is JUST outside Rosemary Beach technically (like one block outside), so the beach won’t rent you chairs unless you bribe them, which we did.

Perfect location. Nice furnishings. Comfortable beds. Climate control worked well. On premises restaurant very convenient - breakfast was exceptional.

The Pointe

Stayed for a tennis tournament in Rosemary. Location was absolutely perfect and walkable! Thumbs up there! Check in was frustrating as the front desk closes at 5pm and we arrived at 5:45p. Literally no-one onsite anywhere to assist. No housekeeping/maintenance onsite at all. (Lobby area dark/lights off) The chk-in email I received prior to arrival did not have a door code assigned to our unit. An hour later, found a security guard that was so kind and helpful, and he helped us google and figure out where to call for customer service. So our check in was two-stars and both those stars go to the security guy. Our unit was lovely even with the smoke alarm going off with the oven warming up...learned to open the sliders when heating the oven or using the toaster and coffee pot.

I never do this, but….

I am leaving a poor review of this property, though most of my gripes are with the amenities, not the condo itself. Re the condo, one of the master bedroom curtains is broken, the second bedroom has sliding barn doors-only one of which works; the toaster is broken, the dishwasher doesn’t work well, and the space is much tighter than it appears online. That being said, it was nicely decorated, and the beds were comfy. On to the amenities- there are 4 people with us and we received 4 bath towels - no beach towels. That simply isn’t enough. The elevators worked … shakily. There is a BIG deal made on-site that this condo isn’t managed by the on-site company, which refuses to help as a result. We received two check-in codes, making arriving confusing. Even the cleaning service didn’t have the correct code. Now for the bikes - what a disaster! 4 bikes are supposed to come with the unit, but they don’t. I had to call to reserve the bikes ahead of time, and when we arrived- the bikes were nowhere to be found. No less than four calls, a text chain longer than I can relate, and two days later, we still had no bikes. When I finally did get the bikes (near the end of day 2 of our vacation), the pedal on 1 promptly fell off and had a flat tire. The same process ensued - calls, texts, assurances a replacement would come - but it never did. The overall property is nice but some younger stayers were peeing off the balcony and police had to come.
