Welcome to The Yeti Hut!

Welcome to The Yeti Hut! This is an adorable private backyard cottage in one of Seattle's most desirable locations. Yeti Hut has a WALKING SCORE OF 91!! The home is located one block north of University Village and within walking distance of Husky Stadium, light rail, and University of Washington. Bedrooms and main bath are located on the 1st floor. There is a custom garage door on the 2nd Floor open concept living and dining area. Spiral Staircase to a loft and a beautiful view of Mount Rainier! We built this house in 2011 and just completed a major renovation in early 2023.

We were very comfortable. The whole house felt very well-stocked, from the full range of kitchen appliances to the mini-toiletries in the bathroom. The kids loft was a huge hit with our five year old!

Cute place and my family loved it overall. Blazing Bagels is right next door and we loved eating breakfast there. A bike/walking trail is also very close by which we also enjoyed for morning walks. Only downside was a lack of A/C on first floor where we slept. Not sure if there actually was A/C or if it just didn’t work. Upstairs had a window unit which kept that level cool. We had some very hot days during our stay so it made sleeping at night a little uncomfortable. Still a wonderful experience overall and we would stay here again.

Great Vacation - Home Away From Home

The house was nice and very well kept. The beds were comfortable, and the rooms fit our needs. We didn't cook there so not much to say on the kitchen other than the layout was nice. The hot water heater had a hard time keeping up with the 4 of us, so we had to space out showers to accommodate accordingly. There seem to only be AC upstairs in the living area, so we slept with the windows open since it was a great temperature while we were there. The cars packed on the street made it difficult at times to get in and out of the driveway but having the driveway to park at the door was very nice. The location was great and made it quick and easy to get to all the things downtown. I would recommend staying her as your home away from home for a vacation.

Great stay in Ravenna

Fabulous, clean and modern home - perfect for a couple or small family. Super comfortable beds and nice linens. Home is in a quiet neighborhood very accessible to great shopping and restaurants. Loved our stay at this location!

UW visit

My daughter and I had a great time. I love the location and the place is perfect. Walking distance to everything we wanted to see and with the village right there shopping was easy too. We will definitely be back!

Perfect

The Yeti Hut is perfect! Clean and modern - everything seems brand new. Linens and towels all were very high quality. Lots of extras in kitchen that made it easy to cook and stay in for most of our meals. Check in was seamless. We will definitely stay again!

Clean property in a great location

We loved the Yeti Hut! It was clean and very organized. Kitchen had everything we needed for our long weekend. The double shower setup in the lower level bathroom was very clever and convenient. Bri was very quick to reply to messages and answer questions. Check out was very easy. Will look to stay here again when we come back to UW!

The owners were very responsive. Location was perfect. Place was spotless and the outdoor space w/ garage door open to family room was amazing. If it's available, we'll definitely book again!

Seattle Cuban Dance Festival 2024 weekend

This property was perfect for our visit as it was within walking distance of workshops on the UW campus, and a short ride to evening events. It was bright, clean, great amenities, air conditioned, and everyone said the bedding was amazingly comfortable. Would totally book again.

Fun vibes, great area

Yeti Hut has lots of fun decor and thoughtful details including an area just for kids. The beds were way more comfortable than many places we've stayed. The area is great: reasonably quiet, close to major highways and within walking distance to shops and restaurants. A terrific bagel shop is just two doors down. If we're ever in Seattle again, we hope to stay here.

University visit

The location of this place is terrific. You can walk to bagels, coffee, the Burke Gilman trail and U Village. It is just enough off the path that you don't get caught in trafffic. Having the driveway parking is helpful too. The space is verticle so you can separate a bit if you want to watch different shows etc. The top loft space access with the spiral staircase is a bit tricky but the pac man machine waiting up there makes it worth it. The kitchen is well stocked and the decor through out is fun, it feels geared to a tourist making it feel more like a vacation. Great place and very responsive hosts, we would stay again.
