The Simple Life

A simple, no frills home at an affordable price in a quiet neighborhood in Wartburg.

Within 15 minutes = Frozen Head State Park, Lone Mountain State Forest, Obed National Wild and Scenic River, the Cumberland Trail, and the famous Brush Mountain State Penitentiary.
Within 30 minutes = Windrock, Oak Ridge, and Harriman.
Within 1 1/2 hours = Great Smoky Mountains National Park, Big South Fork National Recreation Area, Knoxville, and so much more!

We might not be the fanciest rental in Wartburg, but we're the best deal that's clean, safe, and has everything you'd need.

We live next door and can be there to help quickly. If you see us working in the yard, don't fret!

ATV RIDERS -
We do have a 50 ft driveway which allows for some trailer parking, BUT we live on a very narrow street that requires making sharp turns and using extreme caution. We highly recommend leaving your trailer set-up at Windrock if possible (although we will do our best to accommodate).

PARKING
We have plenty of parking for up to 3 vehicles. We do have some room for trailer parking. If you wish to bring a trailer with you, please know that our street is very narrow so you will need to use caution. Please contact us if you would like to bring a trailer so we can provide you with the easiest way to enter/exit the neighborhood. We ask that you please try to park on the gravel if possible, only park on the grass if there's not enough room on the gravel.

THE SPACE
This is a well-kept and clean minimalist home in a country setting. With 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms it provides ample space. We currently have 2 full beds, 2 twin beds, and a roll out twin bed. Thanks to the kitchen stocked with pots, pans, crock pot, and washer and dryer machine, you'll have everything you need to feel at home.

We live next door and can be there to help quickly. If you see us working in the yard, don't fret!

ADDITIONAL DETAILS
If you have any special requests (for example, really want to bring a family pet along), please let us know and we'll try our best to oblige.
We have dogs at our house next door that are still getting used to having guests. Please be patient with their barking, they are friendly! We can put them up if it becomes a nuisance.

Nice, Quiet Place to Stay

We stayed 2 nights. Came to the area to go to Brushy Mountain State Penitentiary for a Travis Tritt concert. Great place to stay for events in area. Quiet neighborhood.

Great location

We loved our stay here!! Perfect spot! Place was so nice and much bigger inside than I thought. We would definitely stay again! The host allowed us to set up a hose and sprinkler for the kids to play in.

Great Space

We had ample space for just hanging out with our kids and grandkids. Sitting around the house, on the porch, kids playing in the yard, cooking, sitting around eating, just having quality time with family, it was a great space, thank you so much.

The stay was great, we loved the basket of cleaning products and the wifi password. The inside was cozy, clean, and gorgeous. The location was private and we all had a lovely time. Next time we come down that way and need a place to stay, this will be the first spot we look for!

Home away from home

This property is a hidden gem. It is very spacious and cozy. It was super clean. I had the best sleep after hours of traveling. I look forward to staying here again!

Bassmaster's Fishing Tournament Watts Bar Lake

We enjoyed our stay and the property worked out great for pulling and charging my bass boat. I will be returning to this property for the next event at Watts Bar Lake.

Nice Spot Near Watts Bar Lake

We needed a place to stay overnight for an upcoming tournament on Watts Bar Lake. We generally try to avoid hotels, as we are pulling a trailer and parking and security can be an issue. This location was perfect for what we needed. It was clean and comfortable. Plenty of room in the driveway for our car and trailer. Had everything we needed. Communication with owner was always quick and friendly. All our questions were answered in a timely manner. Very easy to work with as well.

Stayed 3 nights. House was clean but very sparsely furnished and decorated. Could have used a few pictures and decorations on the walls. Towels were non-absorbent because of too much soap left in them. I would rent here again, taking it that some improvements were made. Thank you

Thanksgiving Retreat

Perfect for what we needed. No frills just like in description VERY VERY CLEAN Beds were comfortable Everything worked well for us. Location…we got to where we needed to be in timely fashion. A grocery store not far. No one can control what neighbors keep in yards but junk cars in many yards. Not this one though. Kids got a kick out of counting them. Definitely NOT handicap accessible in case someone needed to know. But we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and planning to make it another stop soon. Close to Frozen head state park. Beautiful!

Warburg is a hidden gem in East TN. It has tons of parks and forests to recreate in, great craft beer and breweries, and local charm, without the traffic and mayhem that comes with visiting other East Tennessee locations (cough Gatlinburg cough).
