Our group of college friends had a great long weekend here! We enjoyed the lake access, paddle boards, and pickleball court! Our one struggle was finding everything we needed in the kitchen, but we were very much able to make do!

The property is great for a group of 8, nice and comfortable beds. Kitchen is well appointed for a group that likes to cook in. Bathrooms were nice. Plenty of spaces to play games and watch movies.

Private and easy to find. Annandale is close by and a friendly town. Plenty of room and a beautiful view of Lake French. Peter was a great host, responded quickly to messages. Had a great time with the family

Great location on the lake

Very nice location on a beautiful lake. My friends and I had a wonderful stay at the property. Only downfall was very poor Wi-Fi connection. Unable to stream any programs on the television in our phones had very poor reception.

Spacious, clean, and modern

This property is exactly as depicted in the description and photos. Spacious, lots of beds, a beautifully renovated kitchen, and a large deck accessed from the living room. Plenty of parking too. It's a bit secluded, on a small lake, which is great if you want to "get away from it all" and be truly out in the country. The check-in was easy, using an access code on the front door. We had a very relaxing stay.

Wonderful week at the lake!

My family has spent a week at a lake near Annandale every summer for the past 35+ years. This year our usual place was not available so we booked with Peter. Turns out the change was for the better! All of us were very impressed with the property and the amenities and had an amazing experience.

Gem on the Lake

We had a wonderful time enjoying the lake house. It snowed all weekend and it was beautiful! The owner of the property took good care of us keeping the place cleared from snow and informed of all the things to keep us cozy for our stay! Wonderful communication with everything. We will be back to enoy this wonderful place again! Next time in the summer fun!

Everything was top notch, the stay was almost excellent except for the water was not hot. We usually only had 4 people for most of the week so it wasn't like it was being over used. Maybe the water heater needs to be looked at.? We did see the note and were aware about working with electric company to conserve energy, however, I felt it should have been hotter.

Nice getaway on a lake

Group of 4 adults, spent a weekend together celebrating birthdays by playing games and hanging out. Right on the lake with access to amenities nearby. Note the property is down dirt quite a few miles, but the roads were kept in very good condition for the middle of winter. Cell phone reception is very spotty as well, but nice to be able to unplug.

Great Family Vacation!

The property had plenty of space for the 6 of us and it even had sharp knives which never happens at a rental! We caught lots of fish right off the pier and had fun using the kayaks, outdoor games and fire pit. We ran out of hot water several times but Peter told us how to resolve the issue. My only suggestion is to supply more dish and bath towels. We only had one dish towel for the whole week and it was always wet. This happens at other rentals as well so maybe no one dries any dishes by hand? To be fair, we should have asked for more as Peter was always prompt in responding to our needs. We all had a great time at French Lake!

Hi there, We apologize for the inconvenience, We left 2 towels by kitchen sink, 5 towels in lower bathroom, 8 towels in the upper bathroom. We’ll make sure we leave some extra in the storage cabinet for guests that like to dry dishes by hand.

Family Getaway

We rented the property for a family getaway. There was plenty of room for all of us. We enjoyed the game room and the pickleball court. We caught lots of fish from the dock as well as out on the lake. We rented the pontoon which was very reasonable and worked great. We were disappointed that we could not pull a tube behind it though since a tow bar is listed. I would recommend having a few more towels for use. We only had one wash cloth for each of us for a 4 night stay. There were no hand towels in the bathrooms too. We just picked up some extras at the local dollar store for our use. The kitchen had most utensils available. A few more items such as measuring cups, measuring spoons, whisk and bigger pans would be helpful for cooking on site. We did run out of hot water a couple times similar to what another review talked about even though we spread out our showers. Overall our stay was great! Peter provided great communication. The location was easily accessible and close to town. We definitely want to book again in the future.

We loved this place. Lots of space for family to spread out with 4 bedrooms and a 5th bedroom downstairs. Plus the two family rooms and a game were nice. Our favorite was the yard. The backyard is mostly level making it easier for individuals to get to the lake. We played yard games and loved to place basketball and pickleball. The price was very reasonable and the place was very clean. WiFi was good and very close to a town for groceries. If you stay bring extra hand towels, kitchen towels and kitchen scrubbies. A few were provided but 8 people things get wet/dirty fast. The kitchen has extra dishwashing pods and garbage bags. Depending on your usage you may need to bring or buy more. The kitchen could use a few more measuring cups and a baking pan; but we made do. There were ample other items to use. The kids enjoyed the paddle boards. We didn’t fish but could see fish jumping near the dock and lots of boats fished near this spot. Water was clear and not an overly busy lake. The deck is perfect to sit out in and neighbors are very n quiet. Peter has been very accommodating and willing to work with us.
