Nuestra casa en la playa

Comience el día disfrutando de una vista al mar con una taza de café, tal vez delfines, ballenas, tal vez tal vez pelícanos.

A pocos pasos del farol se puede disfrutar de un día en la playa y fácil volver a casa para el almuerzo. Torrey Pines State Reserve y el anexo Torrey Pines son sólo unos pocos minutos a pie. Miles de senderos están disponibles en bicicleta, al igual que toda la línea de costa, un paseo muy popular de fin de semana.

Es un paseo fácil a Del Mar Village y restaurantes de clase mundial, así como café casual. Es muy divertido para disfrutar de una bebida y de la puesta de sol en el Mar Plaza Del, si por alguna razón que uno está aburrido con la vista perfecta desde el porche.

Tanto si quieres un ruta a pie a través de la Reserva Pines Torrey o un día en la tumbona, saltar de la cama en la calle 7 y estás allí. Dormirse con el sonido de las olas.

Nuestra casa ha estado en la familia durante 47 años y es cómodo. La casa de mi hermano está junto a la propiedad y también se puede alquilar en VRBO # 313025 si usted tiene un grupo más grande.

Nice location, family home.

Had a great stay with our family - enjoyed quiet walks and swimming in Del Mar. This house was also a great home base for longer trips into the city. This is a well-loved and well-used family cottage. I think the description and photos give you a good idea of what to expect. The views are amazing from the front porch and patio set. The space was adequate for 3 - might become a bit tight for 4 or more depending on your needs. Windows were a bit challenging they are very old and are either difficult to open or they open but don't lock. There are fans in the house, but they are very old and need replacement. The house gets stuffy and warm without adequate airflow. We were able to make it work but suggest replacing the old/broken window fans with new ones.Overall had a good, quiet stay in Del Mar.

comfortable cottage in great location

This was one of many times we have stayed in this house when visiting family in the San Diego area. Located several houses back from the edge of the cliff above the ocean, it has a good view of the ocean from the living room and the front sitting area, and is a ten minute walk from the Del Mar beach.

Would not stay again

This property has a lot of things going for it, but, the negatives outweigh the positive for us to stay again! The location was ideal with very nice ocean views. IT was easy to walk to the cliffs and see the ocean. The inside was mostly clean except the bathroom needs a lot of work-shower curtain was gross with rusty shower hooks, spiders inside the shower with webs, toilet was very short (think for a child) and people with disability would likely have a difficult time getting in/out of the shower. The main bedroom had blinds that were broken and/or missing and the window did not shut completely. Fortunately the neighbors were not home or they could of easily looked into the bedroom. Also, there was a window in the living that did not lock and was broken. Unfortunately, during our stay they were doing major construction to the streets and this started at 7 am which was extremely loud and woke us up-the owner knew this was going on but neglected to tell us until we arrived as there was a notice on the refrigerator-we would of liked to have been given the chance to know and probably would not have stayed here knowing it. One of the neighbors also had 2 large dogs they left outside and if we went into the backyard they barked continuously as well as during the night as they were left outside then as well. Overall, the place needs a good painting and fix the things that are broken or need of repair and this could be a very nice place if updates were done. Overpriced!!

Del mar racetrack visit

We were 4 adults attending the races at del mar race track. I had attempted to contact host thru VRBO link about things like umbrellas....I never received a reply. Which concerned me. Upon arrival I still didn't have a code for the front door lock. . I called host directly with no answer. Host did then call my daughter , who I had shared the property info with but was not staying with us, and gave her the code and apologized she had forgotten to contact us. My daughter then called us with the code so we were able to get in. The house was clean and served us well for our 5 night stay. It's an older home but surprisingly quiet. The tub shower was ok for us, but would maybe be difficult for some folks to manage. Well stocked kitchen. Laundry was a plus. View of the ocean is great! Location was also good and within walking distance of some restaurants. I would use this rental again when I'm back in del mar.

The location is great and the view is beautiful. The home itself is old and dated and could definitely use a refresher. Although we enjoyed the view and location, we wouldn't stay there again.

Great location and view

This was one of many times we have stayed at this property when visiting family in the San Diego area. We appreciate its view of the ocean from the living room and front sitting area, its convenience to walk to the beach and the center of Del Mar, and its quiet setting away from traffic.

Ocean View

Located in the very classy neighborhood of Delmar Heights , this home is on a 2 block street overlooking a bluff right on the Pacific ocean, The view is spectacular, One 40 inch TV in the living room with easy access to Netflix and a great BQ area in the back patio area. There's a great Chinese restaurant within walking distance.Less then 2 miles to Delmar race track we really enjoyed our stay.

Cozy house with a great location

It felt like we were staying at my grandma's beach house, which made it inviting and cozy with cute quirky decor. The location is fantastic and the garage parking was very convenient to have. The rooms are fairly lsrge, except the kitchen, but has most things stocked. There is a lovely back patio thats fairly private. The dawback is that it does not have AC (nor windowsl unit ac) or ceiling fans and it was very hot when we were there. It was hard to cool off the house with one box fan and we wish we knew that beforehand as we were staying with our 23 month old.

Perfect!

Our family had a wonderful time here. There was plenty of space, it was well equipped, quiet and had beautiful views and scent of the salty ocean. The house is so close to many good restaurants, stores and beach access, we hardly drove anywhere. We would love to stay here again.

Delightful Home

Perfect location with a lovely view of the ocean. The home is cozy, filled with love & warmth. We loved the collection of heart shaped rocks lining the front porch window and all of the art work, beautiful oak flooring & cute backyard. The kitchen has everything and I appreciated the spices & mustard (some VRBO’s don’t even have salt!!) Many thanks for the enjoyment

Great location and Cozy Home

I had the pleasure of staying at this lovely home. It was the perfect set up for my little family of three. The home has everything you need for a beach stay. The neighborhood provides easy access to the beach and a lovely neighborhood park for kids about 1 mile away. You can take a stroll along the bluff just a block away. There are ocean views from the living room and front porch. I enjoyed having my morning coffee on the patio. The owner was easy to communicate with and was responsive to any needs or questions. I would definitely stay here again and recommend it for anyone with a small family.

Very Pleasant

If you're looking to just relax and enjoy the ocean... this is a great place to do it! Although you can't just 'dip' your toe easily in the water, since you're high on the bluffs in Del Mar, the sounds and vistas of the ocean are outstanding; and the flowers and fauna along paths along the shore are magnificent. Just a few blocks from "downtown" DelMar and all the restaurants and shopping... We'll be back!

Wonderful week in Del Mar

The location of the house is perfect. The ocean is nearby and it is a short walk to the town of Del Mar with restaurants and shops. You can hear the sounds of the waves all day long and watch the sunset from the patio. There is a nice walk along the bluffs that you can take either to the north or south to enjoy the beautiful view. The trail to the beach requires some navigation down the hillside, but shouldn't be too difficult for someone in good condition. If you don't want to hike down the hillside, there are other public beaches a mile in either direction. The house is on the older side and has a few quirks as a result. But the photos of the house are accurate of what you are getting. We were comfortable with 4 people and worked around the single bathroom. Communication with the owner was easy.

Comfortable home with ocean view

This was one of our many stays at this home which is our preferred place when we come to San Diego to visit family. The location is just a few houses away from the cliff top above the ocean. It is a just ten minute walk to the Del Mar beach. The neighborhood is quiet and calm and the home is a comfortable retreat.

Nice visit in Del Mar

Perfect long weekend getaway for my wife and I in Del Mar. Carol was a wonderful host, chatted twice during our stay. House was cozy, location fantastic, no A/C but used fans at night were fine. Short walk to ocean, Board and Brew for a turkado sandwich, and drive to everything else. Hope to come back again in future years.

Great place

The location of the house can’t be beat. The beach was accessible via path down the cliffs and is a locals only beach (ie not crowded at all). The pictures of the house don’t do it justice. It is clean, efficiently laid out and welcoming. Would definitely stay there again.

comfortable home in excellent location

This was one of our multiple stays at this property which, when we visit family in San Diego, we choose to return to for its comfortable ambience, its ocean view from the living room and front outdoor sitting area, and its location about four houses down from clifftop walk overlooking the ocean and ten minute walk to beach.

My Mom bought this property in 1969. I lived here for a while in my 20's, then inherited the property when she passed in 2002. It has lots of good times and good memories attached to it.

We swim, bathe in the sun, walk to Torrey Pines, dance Zumba when we can, entertain friends by the fire inside and out, watch the sunset. Our rates include cleaning.
