Casa Colina: Rustic Cottage and Property + Stable for Horses

Casa Colina is a rustic cottage and property nestled in the heart of Texas. With access to over 300 acres and 6 miles of private trails in beautiful Austin County, Texas, the property includes a recently renovated farmhouse that sleeps five, plus a stable for up to six guest horses.

Our kitchen is fully equipped with all-new appliances, and guests may also prepare meals using the outdoor grill. Enjoy meals indoors around the kitchen table or outdoors on the covered back deck. The back yard includes 4 Adirondack chairs around a fire pit, perfectly positioned to enjoy Texas's beautiful sunsets and starry nights.

Our trails are marked and mapped for hiking and horseback riding. The property also includes 4 fishing ponds, and the "Eagle's Nest" playhouse for our youngest guests. Nearby attractions include beautiful Bellville, Sealy, Round Top, and Brenham.

Second time to be here within a year's span. As stated before, this place is wonderful with its country views, quietness (crows and cows conversing at morning coffee on back deck) and necessities. Paula is great in helping with whatever needs attending. We LOVE this cottage !

I WISH I COULD GIVE PAULA MORE STARS!!This location is amazing. It’s very quiet and very peaceful. Got to see some squirrels here or there and a few cows mooing. Definitely worth the drive and time away from reality and the loudness of the world. I recommend this place to anyone who just wants to get away. This place is top-notch on the inside from heads or toe. I was so amazed by how lovely it was furnished and how clean it was she has everything to accommodate you in the bottle of Prosecco was a plus it felt like a home away from home, I cannot wait to go back in the future and experience it again.

Relaxing stay

We absolutely love staying here when we come to Sealy. It’s the perfect quiet get away from the noise of the city. Sitting on the back patio with a cup of coffee overlooking the pond and rolling hills is simply the best way to start your day.

Great place!

Paula, the host, had everything you might need available for us, including a nice bottle of proseco. Beautiful, quiet place. I hope we can come back.

Could not have asked for a better place to stay!

This place is absolutely adorable! We were very well taken care of from the moment of booking until departure! Really could not have asked for a better place to stay and relax! We are already planning on returning with our horses and looking forward to seeing Mrs. Paula again!

Peaceful sanctuary

Property owner met the cottage. She was informative, friendly professional. The cottage was perfectly equipped with all we needed. Decor is high quality and well placed. Beautiful scenery surrounds the cottage and the sunsets didnr fail.

Awesome place

We’re in town for a family reunion. Kids and grandkids came over afterwards and we were able to visit. Granddaughter fished with dad and grandpa. Had a great time. Very clean and comfortable. Host was very easy to contact and friendly

Beautiful home on a beautiful ranch.

Beautifully decorated home on a beautiful Ranch . Paula is a wonderful host who provides you with everything you need . The house is immaculate , stocked with every thing you need to cook plus a gas grill out on the deck . We took our horses and rode all over the well marked trails. The horses were very comfortable to in stalls with runs. This is our second trip to Casa Colina and we will be back again !

Extra space for guests

I needed extra room for visiting guest. This place was perfect. Clean, comfortable and great location. My guests that stayed here want to come visit on there own.

Absolutely amazing and perfect for horses

It was absolutely amazing. The property was beautiful. The owner was so easy to contact and get ahold of and she was quick to respond. The barn and pasture were great, it was so easy and she had the stalls ready for the boys with water! The house was beautiful and perfect size, we enjoyed nice nights by the fire. We will definitely be coming back!!

Great place to stay for Round Top Antique Show

This is a great place to stay if you are wanting to get out of the city and relax for a few days. It was quiet and peaceful and the hosts were very gracious. My wife loved setting under the big covered deck and watching the beautiful sunset. We will visit again when we come to the Round Top Antique Show in the fall.

Horse Retreat

What an idyllic place to stay with girlfriends and our horses!! The house is beautiful, immaculate, comfortable and clearly managed by someone with attention to detail. The grounds are kept in perfect condition. The horses love when we stay as well!

BEAUTIFUL RESPITE

From stepping out of vehicle, the hostess first impresion was "welcome to our place". Every detail of the home was with the guest being comfortable and pampered:) Paula has done a great job to make sure each stay is a beautiful time of rest. We cant wait to come again!

Great house!

This is our second time staying here. We love the house, its location and the convenience of the barn. The house is very well appointed with luxury towels and linens and a fully stocked kitchen. This year we enjoyed the outdoor fire pit and the indoor fireplace as well. Very peaceful little country house. Book it!

Unwind & Relax

My husband and I booked this house for a weekend trip. The property was exactly what we were hoping for to relax. The house was more than expected! It felt new and fresh. The owner stocked the fridge with drinks, hand & half, and even a bottle of Prosecco! We rent houses quite a bit for vacation and are are always prepared to bring everything but the kitchen sink. That is not the case with this house. Even the firewood was provided. I loved sitting on the porch and just watching the longhorns too which were a surprise.

Place is wonderful with great horse accommodations!

I had a wonderful stay. The cottage and barn were both fabulous! I brought my horse and rode on the trails throughout the property. The house was very clean and comfortable. I enjoyed my coffee each morning on the porch. The place is very updated and well furnished. I am already looking forward to booking another stay. Paula was very helpful and a great host. Definitely 5 stars!!!!!

So nice!!

This property is so nice - the house is beautiful and Paula has thought of every detail - love that there was a Krueg coffee maker and a regular one - we like to brew a full pot and we could do that - we enjoyed hiking the trails - we were warned that it might be muddy but it was totally dry hiking for us. Such a nice property!!!!
