Great Girls’ Get-away

The house was a perfect place to stay! It was a great size for our group of 6. The staff and host were very accommodating! The property was close to the Brookhaven Marta rail station which made it extremely convenient to go into the city and back…avoiding traffic. We would definitely stay here again!

Good enough

No dining table (the round table can only accommodate 4 adults), no way to control thermostat (it's locked at 72), some doors wouldn't close shut (bloated and squeaky), our bed was missing frame support (legs) in the middle, some lightbulbs were missing, lights outside didn't work, no paper tissues (at all), owner didn't follow up (despite being notified). Great location, good house, clean sheets (except the washcloth).

Great location and place. All we needed!

We stayed at the house for 4 days. It was spacious and had everything we needed. There were only 2 of us but 6-8 people would be comfortable at the place with three bedrooms and a sleeper in the living room. The view of the back is relaxing overlooking the trees.The neighborhood is safe with new homes still not showing on google aerial maps. Some people were walking their dogs and jogging which tells me neighbors feel safe there. We used Uber everywhere to some tourist spots and Buckhead. It was always 15m or less. I recommend this place.

Overnight Stay

Pros: Good and safe location in close proximity to entertainment. Cons: *Upon checking in, there was no running water. After speaking to a permanent resident on the street, she stated it happens often. *No way to control air/thermostat. It was 73 degrees at 10:30 PM and 78 at 9:00 AM. There are no ceiling fans in the bedrooms. *Bed in room that connects to bathroom was missing frame support which made it feel as if the bed would break at any movement. *After a night of no sleep, we went to make coffee which was not possible as there was mold caked in the coffee filter.

Not Clean

Numerous issues with property which I promptly communicated to VRBO. Had issues gaining entry which was previously reported in Dec '23. After 5-10 mins, were able to gain access. My biggest issue was the cleanliness of the home (dirt on floors, bathroom dirty, kitchen appliances not clean). I contacted VRBO and was asked to provide pictures (which I did). While I shouldn't have to clean, it bothered me that there were no simple supplies (e.g. broom or dust pan to take care of simple items). While VRBO offered to send someone out, our stay was short and honestly, I did not trust it would be taken care of if the same people were sent out to clean the home that previously did the cleaning. Again, property mgmt team has been responsive but property really needs some work. I would not describe as "recently renovated".

Nicely Renovated Older Home

We were pleased with the property, titled "Renovated retreat with large deck, fireplace, & washer/dryer - dog-friendly - Drew Valley Villa". It was a convenient location to visit our daughter who attends South College. Although it is an older home, the renovations were nice. I consider myself a picky person and worry about cleanliness. The place was clean with fresh sheets and towels. The kitchen and bathrooms were clean, although the wall in the master bath could use some extra cleaning of droplets. Both bathrooms had 3 bath towels each, but no hand towels or washcloths. The bathrooms were stocked with shampoo, body wash, and lotion. The kitchen had a coffee maker (with filters), a decent amount of pots and pans, and plenty of plates and mugs. Dish soap and sponges were provided. It was nice that some spices, oil, salt and pepper were available. However, the kitchen was not stocked well enough for the advertised 10 people in regard to cooking utensils (only one spatula), not enough knives, glasses, or wine glasses, for example. The only true negative experience we had was with the touchpad front door lock. The code they gave us didn't work. Calls to the management company were answered immediately, which was very nice. After some frustration, we were finally able to get into the house using a single physical key, which was mildly inconvenient to coordinate among our guests who would have the key at any given time. Overall, we were very happy, especially for the cost.
