Warm up by the wood-burning fireplace after cooking yourself a fulfilling meal using the stainless steel appliances supplied in the house's full kitchen. Or if you're in the mood for something a bit heartier, head out to the deck and toss some meat on the grill for a tasty dinner. Incredible stay

My husband and I spent two nights here and loved it. The hot tub worked perfectly, was very clean, and it made for relaxing evenings with such a beautiful view. The property feels fairly secluded and private which we appreciated. We also enjoyed being right by the river. Would recommend and would definitely stay here again!

Perfect Vacation, Perfect location!

Great location - very close to government camp. Cabin was clean and hot tub was awesome. Deer were in our driveway every morning and there is a river and creek on the lot. Woke up too snow covered mountains with an amazing view from the master bedroom. Would absolutely stay again.

Great location and amenities with some downsides

The location and amenities at this place were awesome. We truly enjoyed our time here. That being said, there is a major ant and mouse infestation at this home. My husband and I killed multiple ants a day in every area of the home. We found them in our bed and they were all over the top bunk in the 2nd bedroom, as well as every other area of the house constantly. Every morning we found mouse droppings downstairs, especially in the bathroom, on the towels in the rack and in the corners of the living room. The WIFI only really worked in the living room. When we arrived, there were no garbage bags and we were told that we could go purchase them. They should have been there to begin with. There is so much potential with this vacation rental if these issues are rectified

Beautiful cabin!

This place was amazing! We were two couples traveling in the area to visit the sites near Mt. Hood. The hot tub was great after a day of hiking. The kitchen had everything we needed. It was secluded, but located just minutes from a grocery store. Very clean. Overall, a really great stay. Nothing negative worth mentioning, and would definitely recommend.

Unbelievable Property

This cabin in the woods was surreal. It was clean as well as the amenities. We watched a meteor shower from the hot tub. You can adventure literally by walking out the back yard to the sandy river. We spent hours just those trails. 10/10 I wish I could have stayed longer. No A/C but the cabin stayed cool enough even when it was over 100F at many points.

I almost cried when left!

This place was absolutely incredible! My husband and I had the BEST time in this beautiful property. It was stocked with everything needed to cook in the home, the hottub was the perfect temp and was perfect for a morning soak before the temps got hotter. We spent most of our time out on the deck just enjoying the view, and peacefulness and walking around the property. The hosts were super responsive and great! We’re already talking about how we can drive up next time and bring our pup so he can enjoy the beauty of the space and property with us! Thanks crew!

At the foot of Hood

The three of us enjoyed our stay. The house is very nice and worked for us. We liked the privacy and quiet of the location. My 4 stars for cleanliness are because when we arrived, the garbage can had been toppled and there was a lot of garbage on the ground. We cleaned it up and secured the garbage can in the shed. Suggestion: more light in the bedrooms esp. the bunk bedroom. Also, a dresser or someplace to put your clothes in that room. Otherwise, the house was well equipped. Interesting carved sculptures outside. Who did them? The bear makes a good watch dog.

Quaint cabin

Beautiful setting. Quaint cabin. Great access to all Mt Hood ski resorts. Comfortable beds. New pillows. Poor internet. 2.4MBS download was fastest we could obtain. Could not stream any TV. When we arrived the home had not been cleaned. We stripped sheets and washed the dishes of the previous guests. Vacasa was slow to respond and has yet to offer any additional refunds.

The view of the mountains, access to the river, and privacy were AMAZING, 5 plus stars. The 3 star portion is in regards to the porch area and interior of the house. The porch is overdue for replacement. Many boards were rotten and were not safe to walk on. Someone's foot is going to fall through soon. The green hammock and wicker hanging chair on the left end of the porch were ripped and unusable as they no longer support weight. The interior of the home was more outdated than the pictures indicated. We knew the home had been cleaned because we could smell the cleaning products that were used. However, there were multiple stains in the carpet and the upstairs tub had signs of age in the tub floor and around the drain which made the house feel dirty/unclean. Curtains need to be added to the upstair bathroom windows and balcony door. The property is private, but it felt uncomfortable to change clothes and shower without curtains for privacy. The box fans were appreciated as we stayed in August and wish we had noticed before booking that A/C was not listed as an amenity. The beds were all very firm and uncomfortable. There was only one throw blanket available, more would have been appreciated. It would have also been nice to have a resource book that talked about the area, activities, restaurants etc. This book could also include instructions on how to use some of the appliances like the very old washer/dryer, hot tub, and outdoor gas/fire coffee table.

Great location and needs a bit of help to make it steller...

Location is 5 star, totally private, private access to the Sandy River, awesome firepit right next to the river, great hot tub with gorgeous mountain views. Really needs some decor to help warm it up, a dresser in the upstairs bedroom or two luggage racks at the minimum, the internet really does not work and yet there are TV's in every room. Don't count on the internet working nor the TV's...this was not an issue for us but if you need to work online or need a working TV, this is not the place. They need to clean up some junk on the side of the house that has the volleyball net and stock more in the kitchen in terms of oils for cooking etc. Just a little bit of attention would make this a 5 star all the way around stay.

almost perfect

Great location - super quick to get down to hwy 26 for coffee, restaurants, and nearby hikes, while feeling remote and secluded. House is far from the road and has a private gated driveway. While no view of the river from the house, its very nearby and has a nice sandy beach and you could bring folding chairs to carry down there and hang out. I was worried about the spiral staircase and having a small child, but the layout of the upstairs actually allows you to close off one door to each bedroom and keep them connected through the bathroom, meaning kids can get to your room without having to go near the staircase. The main bed is comically high off the ground - we are both tall people and still had to jump. The kids bunkbed ladder doesn't attach and is high up, so top bunk is probably better for much older kids. We couldnt get the TV streaming services to work at all, and wish there had been movable outdoor furniture, but house was clean and scenic and hottub was great. We would stay here again.

Couldn’t soak

One of the main reasons we booked this property was to relax and soak with no one around on my wife’s birthday. The hottub was filthy and barely warm. No propane for the grill, no coffee filters, sofa smelling of urine, and just dusty. We had issues with all the cheap tv’s just trying to watch Netflix. Most of my wife’s birthday was spent with the vacasa person running around the place fixing things ( though she was super nice and even paid for our dinner). It was not the getaway we had hoped for.

Quite zen cabin

This cabin is a perfect gateway, nestled in serene mountains, green forest, perfectly placed on the sandy river and still few minutes drive to grocery. We had few issues like door lock code & shower function, which was promptly addressed. The internet was strong which helped us call the property management to figure out the lock code issue as there is no cellphone coverage in the area . House was well stocked & neatly done, bit old but very rustic. Hot tub, outdoor dining table was a hit! Only reason I gave 4 stars is the top floor carpet was soiled & dirty, not what I expect for the $ $ I paid. Again, we loved our stay, just wished the carpet upstairs was not so gross & dirty. The top floor kid’s room door had a hole, which I am assuming is one of previous guest abusing such beautiful place, just like the soiled the carpet. I would definitely recommend this place for nice zen vacation.

Beautiful Property

This place had so many exploration opportunities for everyone. The house was beautiful. My only complaints were the internet was awful 1 out of the 3 tvs worked and the one tv that did work was very finicky and would shut off on its own and would just stop working at times. In the kids bedroom the tv didn’t have a stand and would slide off the end table that I’m assuming the guests before us used. But there was no cord for the blue ray near it and no cable or smart tv functions. The tv in the master bedroom was impossible to get to because it was mounted above the doors and had no smart features and no way to connect another device to it. It was quite frustrating at times. When I go to a vacation I don’t want to deal with troubleshooting features that was on the listing. This wouldn’t have been such an issue if it were for my need to sleep with tv. Having this as a part of the listing is in partial to why we chose it. Also, as an after thought it would have been nice if the house had firewood otherwise the fireplace defeats the benefit.
