Fernhaven cottage is situated on 3.5 private wooded acres with trails and has been designed for your renewal. Whether your ideal stay involves reconnecting with nature, relaxing in the hot tub or around the fire, or gathering for quality time with friends and family, you will find it here.

Security camera disclosure: there are 2 exterior motion-activated video cameras pointed at the front entrance and driveway only. We use these to manage the property, especially to facilitate deliveries and monitor snow/ice accumulation. These will be on during your stay.

Limit 2 dogs per stay. Please include in your reservation. A single $75 pet fee covers your entire stay.

Family beach vacation was a hit!

our stay was great! The home was very nice and well stocked with everything we needed, including treats for the dog! Loved the privacy and games in the garage!

We had an incredible time at the Saugatuck home. The home was perfect in every way. The firepit was great for cooler evenings. It was so close to downtown Saugatuck and Douglas. The communication with Rachel the host was perfect. The host provided so much information about the area which was very helpful. Will want to stay at this great location the next time we are traveling through Saugatuck.

We cannot say enough good things about Fernhaven. It was secluded, extremely clean, and conveniently located near all sights and sounds of Saugatuck. Definitely recommend this place if you are booking with small kids. The hosts provide a travel crib, toys and children's books, amongst other things a young family trying to travel needs. We'd definitely love to book Fernhaven the next time we decide to visit the Saugatuck area!

Quiet and comfortable; quick drive to favorite spots in Saugatuck/Douglas

We have stayed in several places in area over the years, both just outside of town and in Saugatuck/Douglas. This place is quiet, super clean and very charming. We appreciated the comfortable beds, large hot tub and gorgeous setting. Rachel was so kind and easy to reach. Highly recommend!

Relaxing getaway

This stay was my best VRBO yet. Beautifully decorated home nestled in the woods. The owner thought of EVERYTHING a traveler would need and made all instructions easy to find. We loved the hot tub and fire pit. Location was quiet and lovely. Would DEFINITELY stay here again.

Great Stay in Saugatuck

The property was great, felt like a secluded area with lots of privacy but still close enough to go out and explore the area. Rachel was awesome, we brought our two young kids with us and she made sure to have some age appropriate games available for them to play with. Felt like a very personalized stay.

Amazing Location

Amazing property that is just a quick trip from downtown Saugatuck. There was a group of us that stayed for a long weekend and it had all of the amenities that we needed. Beautiful, peaceful, and quiet!

Fantastic Fourth!

We had a lovely stay at this property! The property is convenient to multiple parks and downtown. Rachel was fantastic to work with and the honestly the beds were some of the most comfortable we have slept in at a rental property! Definitely recommend!!

Cozy Location

Rachel's rental was cozy and welcoming from the minute of walking in, on top of that communication was great. This location was only 5-7 minutes from fun places near Fennville but was remote enough to be quiet and private.

April Getaway

The property is on a large wooded lot with lovely trails. The house is well appointed - we lacked for nothing. Time to town was under 10 minutes and a beautiful drive. Rachel was quick in answering questions and gracious about everything. Loved our stay!

Wonderful mother/daughter getaway at Fernhaven

This house is fabulous. There were 6 of us and we had plenty of room. Rachel really has thought of everything to make our stay comfortable. The grounds were simply beautiful and the home was cozy and very clean. We enjoyed the wonderful hot tub and had wonderful conversations in the cozy family room. We definitely plan to return next summer!

Peaceful Retreat

My husband and I absolutely loved this property and the host Rachel. There was clear communication from the start and the house included many "how to" instructions. Rachel made sure we had everything we needed for a relaxing and enjoyable stay. The property was quiet and secluded. We enjoyed walks on the trails, time in the hot tub and multiple board games. Everything was clean and well taken care of. I really enjoyed the natural and beautiful décor. With plenty of host and guest recommendations, we were able to enjoy local restaurants, activities and hiking. I would recommend this property to anyone and we are looking forward to returning soon with our children.

Quiet & relaxing time in Saugatuck

We've stayed in the Saugatuck/Fennville area several times now. This was our favorite place we've stayed. We will be back. House was clean and as expected based on the listing. Water pressure in the shower was great, which is often not the case in short term rentals. Paper products and kitchen were well stocked. It's a short drive into town and to nearby beaches. The hot tub is relaxing. Another great thing about this property is the quiet. We've stayed at a few places that are a bit too close to the highway. PSA: This has nothing to do with the house but note that there are a lot of ticks in the area. We live in Chicago so we're not used to dealing with ticks. Make sure you check your dogs frequently and use a tick prevention drug. Our 2 dogs averaged about 1 tick per day over 3 days.

The hot tub was spotless and user-friendly. Rachel, our host, was an excellent hostess. Our family thoroughly enjoyed the welcome gift of local goodies. The fire pit and trails on the property were our favorite features. They were enjoyable for everyone of our ages. The property is dog-friendly and has bowls and towels for our furry friends. Everything inside worked flawlessly, with thoughtful touches for guests. There was a smart TV, a Bluetooth speaker for the entire house, and a fun record player. Our family would definitely stay again! Thank you, Rachel, for making our stay so enjoyable!
