El Rancho Deluxe fue desarrollado en plena sinergia con sus comunidades vecinas, la villa es un paraíso frente al mar premium que ofrece el encanto, la cultura y la biodiversidad natural desconcertante de Costa Rica y su provincia de Guanacaste. La villa es de construcción utiliza sólo madera dura local y baldosas de fabricación local. Perfecto para unas vacaciones en familia, escapadas románticas, lunas de miel y escapadas ecológicos con espectaculares vistas al mar y la reclusión.

La Villa de Rancho Deluxe tiene una vista impresionante frente a la playa de Playa Camaronal; situado a 200 pies por encima de la playa, lo que permite una fresca brisa de la tarde océano. La villa con aire acondicionado para cuatro personas, tiene un baño, SKY TV y una cocina completa. Hay una hermosa piscina y terrazas tomando el sol para nuestros visitantes disfrutar. La villa está cerrada y tiene seguridad en el sitio las 24 horas y de fácil acceso desde los pueblos cercanos de Playa Samara (5 millas), Playa Carrillo (3 millas), y Punta Islita (3 millas). La Villa de Rancho Deluxe también se encuentra a sólo veinte minutos de la pista de aterrizaje de Punta Islita, atendido por vuelos diarios desde San José o un viaje de dos horas desde el Aeropuerto Internacional de Liberia. Tranquilo y seguro, que atrae a los visitantes con la naturaleza desconcertante, la diversidad cultural y genuina amistad.

Playa Camaronal es un destino remoto con el corazón y la cultura, la medición de tres millas de largo y se extiende desde la desembocadura del Río Ora, la costa está formada por arenas de color grisáceo rotos por el estuario ocasional. Exuberante vegetación se puede admirar a través del paisaje que está respaldada por colinas volcánicas y acantilados. La playa nunca está demasiado lleno, con la excepción de unos pocos surfistas locales y voluntarios de tortuga criadero de Camaronal ... Great stay in this well appointed, comfortable suite. Views are stunning, felt very welcomed by both owner/host and caretakers who are on site and ready to help. Comfortable bed and seating, well stocked kitchen, and awesome pool. Great a/c . 4 minutes to cameronal (great walking and wildlife) and 10 to carillo (family friendly swim beach) - perfect location in a quiet neighbourhood. Highly recommend and look forward to returning.

Two weeks in paradise

This was our fifth trip to Jerry’s place in Camaronal, it is a truly magical experience from the sounds of the waves crashing on the beach as you sleep, to the sun rising over the mountains in the morning. The pictures can’t capture the beauty of the view you take in whether it be sitting in the adarondak chairs, or swimming in the pool.

Paradise Near Camaronal, Islita, and Carillo Beaches

We (2 people) stayed at Jerry's place for 6 nights. The apartment is very comfortable, with fans and A/C in both rooms, fully equipped kitchen. The mattress and linens etc were high quality. The pool is bigger than it looks in pictures, and such amazing views looking over the lush landscape all the way down to the surf in the distance. We watched monkeys one afternoon right from the front porch. If you're looking for comfortable, quite private lodging, this is the place. Jerry was on-site in his main house when we arrived, and when he left, the caretakers who live just next door were available if we needed anything or had questions.

Jerry was attentive from before our arrival, to talking to immigration at the airport to confirm where were we staying, to ensuring we got to his home, and greeting us upon our late arrival. We LOVED this place! The hardwood interior, the cozy feel, and all the comforts needed for a comfortable stat. We were in awe of the view and tranquil surroundings we awoke to the next morning and spent every morning on the covered outdoor seating area listening to and watching nature as well as the beautiful ocean roaring beneath us. Yorleny and Santos, the caretakers, were super kind and ensured all our needs were taken care of (and beyond!). I have always struggled with sleep at the best of times but I slept incredibly well in the comfy bed and even found myself sleeping longer than usual. We would highly recommend this place if you are wanting to experience a time of complete relaxation away from all the tourist buzz. We promised to bring our daughters in the next few years and hope and pray Jerry's place is still available!!

Amazing

The view is spectacular. The owner and caretakers were very nice and helpful. The house was a great size for the two of us. We swam in the pool several times and just sat on the porch to watch the ocean. View can not be beat. Will definitely stay there again when we come back to this part of CR.

Great view and property

This place is just like in the pictures. It is just wow! The pool is large and really nice. Accessible whenever you want. There are 2 ground keepers just beside the property who are always available, but give you privacy. It is a little guard to find, bumpy dirt road for 10 minutes, you get used to it after 1 day. It is 20 minutes to the beautiful and swimmable Carillo beach and 30 minutes to Samara. We highly recommend this place.

It’s like Living inside a Postcard

I wish I were an eloquent writer so that I might be able to convey what a beautiful paradise this property is.As many others have said the photos can not capture the stunning landscape, sounds of nature and the constant roaring of the nearby waves. Not to mention the frequent monkey visits and bird watching.We stayed the entire month of December and could not be any happier. Jerry, the owner, is an amazing person and host. Santos and Yorleny keep everything immaculate and comfortable.The one bedroom apartment is private and the pool is sensational. The space is perfect for a couple or two close friends. Everything you need is on hand plus all the awesome restaurants, bars and shops in nearby Samara.Go experience it for yourself and thank me later.

GREAT!!!!

This place is amazing! We (my husband and I) stayed for 3 nights. We wish it had been for longer, the view is incredible. The host Jerry is wonderful, and the caretakers Yorleny and Santos are lovely. The pictures do not show how incredible this place really is. Yorleny does a wonderful job taking care of the inside of the house and Santos does a lovely job on the outside, including upkeep on the pool, making it a nice to spend your day at if you want. We walked to the beach with the amazing ‘guard dog’ (tour guide) as he seems to know all the trails and ways to the beach. We also ate in town, great meals. And we drove to other southern beaches nearby. We really don’t want to leave.

Fantastic View and Facilities

This property was fantastic - it is perfect for a couple, but could also work for a family of 4. It comes with 2 wonderful caretakers who will provide maid service (including laundry), and the host lives on site and was fun to get to know and extremely friendly and communicative and helpful. The facilities were clean and well appointed- in the hot season, the AC and Fans were great in combination with the pool and shaded porch overlooking the ocean. We spent much of our time swimming and lounging on the wonderful porch with great fans and watching the views over the beach, or entertaining bird, amphibian and monkey visitors. When we were not enjoying the property, we took short drives to various spots. Its only a 5 minute drive to Playa Camaronal surfing beach and turtle refuge (wildlife watching, hiking), 10m to Playa Carillo area 25m to Playa Samara (swimming/groceries/restaurants/tours), and 15m to the Macau refuge (reserve in advance!) and Playa Islita (nice hotel/spa -wildlife watching) on good dirt roads. Our favorite thing to do was to drive to Playa Camaronal refuge and walk down to the Ora river delta to watch the fisherman and the birdlife or howler monkeys. Or just sit on the beach and watch the surfers. Just an amazing spot - we'll be coming back.

Perfect

This property and the surrounding area are so much more beautiful in person! Pictures don't do them justice. The house is very comfortable, the garden is amazing, the pool is bigger than it looks on the pictures. The views are unbelievably impressive at all times but especially at sunrise and the night sky. You can hear and see the ocean from the house and you can watch monkeys come in the woods in front of it almost every day (it is a great show). Jerry, the owner is very pleasant, helpful and easy to communicate with. There are caretakers who are available at all times if you need them. They clean the pool every day but they are absolutely non-intrusive, live in a separate house and you have your complete privacy. The road to the house (specifically the last 2km) is a bit challenging and 4x4 will be the best option, also driving after dark to the house will be too adventurous. Playa Carrilo is 10-15 minutes drive from the house and is a gorgeous beach with palm trees and not too many people. There is a little town called Samara nearby, full with tourists and touristy places if you like to have more crowds around or you can fully enjoy the beautiful nature surrounding the beautiful house. It was an unforgettable experience.

Absolutely Perfect!!!

It’s really hard for me to write this review as I selfishly don’t want anyone to know about Jerry’s place. All kidding (and some seriousness aside lol) this place is 10 stars if I could give it that rating. Jerry is an absolutely beauty of a human, super chill surfer with wonderful caretakers Yurleny and Santos to make you feel like part of the family. The place is super clean, remote, quiet, and just plain amazing. The bed is comfortable, the kitchen is basic but works awesome for cooking meals, heating food in the microwave or keeping your groceries fresh in the large fridge. Wifi is included but keep in mind the remoteness has the power in and out daily - but if you came to be on your phones or watching TV maybe stay at a resort instead as this place is to relax, unwind and be part of nature. There is a MASSIVE pool overlooking the rain forest, and the ocean, that is pretty much private for just you. Every morning we woke to monkeys in the trees howling and making noise. Jerry also has a wonderful dog, who seemed to just want our company while always there to protect us and the property - always felt very safe. The road in is a bit of a challenge if you are a nervous driver, but we did it in pitch black without any hassle, we felt it was just part of the rural remote Costa Rican experience. Jerry actually called us on WhatsApp and guided us in personally. I literally could go on and on about our time there but I’m limited to 1500 letters to praise this place.

Great getaway by the ocean !

My wife and I stayed at this property for 3 nights. Jerry and his host staff were attentive, helpful and kind. This property is a perfect spot 15-30 minutes from the ocean, on a quieter and pleasant environment rather than booking a place close to Samara or any other noisy nearby beach town. The Villa is safe, beautiful, clean and well maintained. You could combine your stay by taking half -day trips for whale and dolphin watching from Samara, as we did, and also sit and relax on the beautiful terrace facing the ocean while visited by howler and white face monkeys. The pool is a quiet and beautiful place to enjoy the surrounding nature as well. If you come from San Jose, fastest directions could take you on a dirt road via Hojancha / route 158. Highly recommended fun and scenic route but will required extra attention and driving skills. Please invest on a 4x4 rental if you want to expand your horizons driving in Costa Rica. Traffic jams area big issue on main roads, especially along Pan-American route 1. Eventually you will take secondary unpaved roads to detour heavy traffic, so 4x4 is a must. Plan to be at your destination not later than 4pm. No matter your phone carrier, either local or roaming, you will lose connectivity along the way, so budget your time. Sun sets at 5:45, you don’t want to be wondering around on unknown territory at dark with no phone. We have more than 17 years’ experience traveling in Costa Rica. Jerry's place truly exceeded our expectations.

"Rancho Relaxo!"

This place exceeded our expectations! Jerry and his wonderful caretakers, Santo and Yorleny were welcoming and gracious. This place is truly a gem! A perfect location to get away from it all and to relax and take in the stunning views and sounds of nature. The sunrises, sunsets and the bright starry nights were spectacular! Jerry gave us some great suggestions of places to go and also local spots for a delicious meal. We did not want to leave, however we will certainly return! From the bottom of our hearts, Muchas Gracias & Pura Vida!

Perfect home-away-from-home

We just spent six weeks at Rancho Deluxe and are still struggling to put into words our experience. First, Jerry is a wonderful host, very friendly and helpful; running in to him in Sámara was always a treat (and ask him about his bacon!). Second, Yorleny and Santos were always on hand to care for the property and help with anything we needed, but never intrusive and always conscientious of our needs and want for privacy. In terms of caring for the property and making our stay as relaxing as possible, these three make a great team! As for the location, it borders on perfect. Gorgeous, relaxing setting which pictures cannot do justice. Playa Camaronal is stunning, with grey-black sand, a beautiful crescent curve, and no development nearby! A half-dozen beaches within a reasonable drive (and plenty more farther out), each of which has its own character and most of which are all but empty most of the time. Rancho Deluxe, which sits on the side of a hill above Camaronal, allows for stunning views and cool breezes; morning bright sunshine gives way to afternoon shade on the patio, a perfect combination! We were hoping to get away from it all, but over six weeks we also wanted restaurants and some nightlife. Although the roads around the house can be rough (like all of that part of Costa Rica), ten minutes has you on a paved road in the small town of Estrada, where there are a few shops and a couple of small restaurants (Jerry can point you to all the right people from whom to buy what foods you are interested in). Next down the road is Carrillo, with more shops, restaurants, and a busier beach. But only 25 minutes from the house is Sámara, with dozens of restaurants, plenty of shops, and lots of people (relatively speaking: even here the "crowds" are small and the vibe is Pura Vida). Tranquility is at your doorstep but fun and excitement are a short trip away, far enough without being too far. We will never forget our time at Rancho Deluxe. Thank you Jerry, Yorleny, Santos, and of course Copé for making our stay such a wonderful experience. We look forward to seeing you again!

The Rancho Deluxe was a taste of paradise. Close to beautiful beaches and exciting attractions we used it as a center point for our trip. Beautiful grounds, pool and home. Yorlany, Santos and Copi were always available for our needs. Thank you for the beautiful trip, we wish we had stayed longer.

Beautiful location

The location is gorgeous with a million dollar view. It’s about 25 minutes drive to Samara where we spent most of our time. Pros: - host Jerry was very easy to deal with and accommodating - on-site caretakers were great and the daily housekeeping was a surprise bonus - love the private pool steps away Cons - needs some upgrades and “love” around the place

Netter Empfang und schöne Aussicht!

Die Unterkunft ist gut ausgestattet für ein Pärchen. Für zwei oder mehr Freunde ist sie nicht so gut geeignet. Bemängeln muss ich leider, dass die Unterkunft über keinerlei Fliegengitter, ausser dem am Bett, verfügt! Viele Mücken und anderes Getier nachts in der Wohnung! Das geht besser. Ansonsten ist es eine schöne Unterkunft zum Entspannen!

Jerry saved our vacation

We were in the middle of a one week trip to the beaches of Guanacaste and we were having a terrible time at our original house in Playa Guiones. After one particularly terrible day of nonstop construction noise, we decided to give up on our other house and we contacted Jerry about his place. Jerry was so accommodating about checkin - the day we contacted him, he said he could have it ready for us, and sure enough, when we arrived it was in beautiful shape. And more to the point, the place was absolutely gorgeous - the pictures do not lie. The house was beautifully landscaped and surrounded by dense jungle and the sounds of jungle insects, birds, and the waves from the beach below. The pool was deep and long and such a fun place to hang out on a hot afternoon. And the house is a quick drive to multiple unique beaches (Camaronal, Carrillo, and my favorite, Islita). Also, Jerry and his team were great about being attentive to our needs without being intrusive. His house caretaker Yoleni babysat our 7 month old son while we celebrated my wife’s birthday (!!). Jerry provided us with beach chairs, an umbrella, and a boogie board for the beach. And his other house caretaker, Santos, even pulled us aside to show us some capuchin monkeys he had spotted near the house one day. In short - our last half of the trip was the Costa Rica dream vacation we had wanted all along. And that was mainly thanks to Jerry, Yoleni and Santos. We will definitely be coming back.

Amazing!

Jerry's place was a dream! I had high expectations because of all the reviews and let me tell you once we got there it was better then I could have ever imagined! The way up to Jerrys is a little tricky at first but once you get the hang of the roads it's very easy. Everywhere you drive it's scenic and you really get the Costa Rica feel. Every surrounding beach has its own vibe and equally as beautiful as the last. Local markets and resturants in Samara have everything you need to eat out or cook at Jerry's place. The amenities at Jerry's are so comfy, pool is amazing , the view was the best part! Waking up to that every day is what life is about. Jerry really has something special here. I will def be back again! Sooner then later!

Crate, tucked away property with amazing views. You’ll definitely need a car and a stop at the grocery store before you head on over.

Charming Rancho Deluxe

This was our first time booking through VRBO, the experience was great. Communications with Jerry, the owner, were nice and efficient. We loved staying at his Rancho Deluxe, it's the perfect secluded place but yet close to amenities. The site is beautiful, the apartment was lovely, clean and has everything you need. The nice size pool was a wonderful surprise! Yorleny and Santos are the lovely couple that take care of the property, but they'll give you all the privacy you need. Getting there, yes, there's a bit of a gravel road, but nothing bad, part of the Costa Rican adventure, we're used to gravel roads in some parts of the country side, just part of the charm I'll say. For those travelling with pets, just something to take note is that at the Camaronal National Wildlife Refugee dogs are not allowed. This is the closest beach to the place, and it is beautiful, you need to see it. But if you are looking for a place to swim this is not the recommended beach anyway, unless you're an experienced surfer. But there's wonderful Carrillo beach which is very close and has a great setting. Also Punta Islita which has the Beach Club as well. So if you are looking for a quiet or an exploring vacation, we recommend Rancho Deluxe. We'll definitely love to go back.

This truly is Paradise Found!!!!

This is our third time staying at Rancho Deluxe and as before we could NOT be HAPPIER!!! “Jerry’s Place” is all about Relaxing and Enjoying ALL that Costa Rica has to offer. Jerry’s Place is ALWAYS kept spotless, and his caretakers check in daily to see it there is anything we need. Sitting on the patio that overlooks the pool and Camaronal Beach IS a Dream come true. We LOVE the Town of Samara and the people are so friendly and helpful. If you are coming to Northwest Costa Rica, you owe it to yourself to Stay at Rancho Deluxe. You WILL LOVE IT!!!!!!!

Gorgeous property and first time to Costa Rica

We loved staying at Jerry’s place, it’s definitely off the beaten path which is what we were looking for. Be sure and stop at grocery on the way for coffee and things. The Balinese architecture of the home inspires and blends naturally into the environment. Plus an unbeatable pool and cute house dog. You cannot beat the sunrise over Playa Camaronal, we will return for a hello to Yorlani and Santos the sweet staff on site. My hubby and I both have worked with Four Seasons and in travel for 20+ years, travel gurus per say and were pleased with the cleanliness and ease of this spot and even a crib for our 1 year old. Thank you, Jerry and friends. 🙏

Very enjoyable stay

My wife and I stayed at Jerry's place for one week. The view was amazing, the apartment was perfect, and the pool was bigger than we thought. Everything you need is close by and Yorleny and Santos were very friendly and helpful. The food at Carao Project down the road was very good, and we saw lots of wildlife on their path to the beach. This is the place to stay if you like peace and quiet and want to see and hear wildlife. Playa Camaronal is beautiful. We hope to go back!
