The host was available through my entire month long stay to make sure everything was okay. The condo is great and suited every one of my needs while me and my wife enjoyed Sosua and Cabarete. Sosua Ocean Village is safe and has wonderful amenities. This condo is a great choice if you're thinking of staying on the north coast.

Excellent host

The host offered an excellent service. The AC in my rented apartment was not cooling enough. He immediately moved me to a villa and got the AC fixed right away. He kept me in the Villa because he didn't want to inconvenient me. The villa was so beautiful with a private swimming pool. Second time renting with him, I will surely come back again. I wish all other hosts can be like him.

Nice Condo.

We found everything to be as advertised. It is a great little Condo for a get-away. Well-situated in Ocean Village between Sosua and Cabarete. We had some trouble with the WiFi, but I’m sure it was operator-error. Otherwise, quite comfy.

This morning while making our lugage we found a small bug. Did not pay much attention. Arriving this evening at our destination, while unpacking, found another one, and search the internet photo and got an imediate hit: bedbugs.Second issue, a sewer smell almost constant in the bathroom.

I visit Sosua a few times a year and I always stay in the oceanfront villas of SOV so I saw these apartments getting built from the ground up. Since the oceanfront villas were sold out this time I got the apartment just so that I could still be in SOV. I was very impressed. The apartment looked just like the pix....very clean with a easy check-in. And cool ass host. I loved it. Will be staying there again and referring my friends. 💥💥💥💥💥

At first we were impressed with the grounds and the buildings but as soon as we entered we noticed that every surface, cupboards, mirrors, etc did not look like they were cleaned for weeks.  There were drips, runs and splashes everywhere.We complained and were told that there were no complaints from the people that were just here.  The owner then sent the cleaner to our room to clean it on our vacation time. The cleaner arrived and started spot cleaning everything we pointed out, but watching him clean showed us why the room was not clean in the first place.After 2 days we decided to wash our towels since a washing machine was included with the room.  We put the towels into the machine, added a laundry tab, closed the door and pushed start.  It sounded like it was working but after it finished we noticed that the towels were soaked ... the machine did not wash or spin.  Luckily we found extra towels in a closet to use until the end of our trip. Also, there were too many other smaller issues with this room to mention in this review due to length restrictions. On our last day, we got to the condo and could not get into the room because the batteries went dead in the door lock.  When we tried calling the owner for help there was no answer.  Luckily our driver was able to get it figured out for us or we could have been late to the airport. Sosua is beautiful,  the people are friendly, but be careful when booking your room.

As soon as the guest arrived the issue has been adressed. I explained to him. As a owner i live outside the country. It is hard for me to supervise how my staff works. I also didnt have any issues with my previous guests wich is a reference to me. We sent the cleaner right away and he never complained about the washing machine. As for the door . The guest decided to have a late check out without advising me. Door lock automatically change lock code once check out time is reached. It was never a problem of batteries

Beautiful Complex

The beauty of the complex and the security were on point. The unit was just as pictured; bright and welcoming. Although there was no safe box in the unit, we felt very safe with the security measures in place. Access pass was used to allow entry into other areas of the complex but not all were inclusive and had a small price tag associated with them. Very peaceful at night as well. Our 1st. floor unit had some issues with the shower and bathroom sink drainage. They were very slow. Maintenance came and removed the covers on each drain and it helped tremendously with the shower but the bathroom sink remained very slow to drain, we seldom used that sink. The kitchen sink was most relied upon. The complex doesn't allow motor bikes and our maintenance person rode a motor bike and was unable to deliver water immediately upon request. There was also a language barrier with the maintenance person. We loved that there were two televisions in the unit but that fell short when the programing on one was unavailable (Netflix) and it should have been. We would consider staying again but would like to finalize our impression of the complex by hopefully staying on a different level next time to determine if the drainage would be problematic on a higher level or not. We did overhear a conversation with some possible residents and poor drainage was mentioned in their conversation as well. Drainage was our only unacceptable situation. All other concerns were dealt with promptly.

Sosua Ocean Village is truly a gem. The condo was spotless, modern, and beautifully designed, with everything needed for a comfortable and relaxing stay. The peaceful atmosphere made it feel like a true getaway. Plus, it is a quick drive from the Sosua Nightlife. The host and security were excellent.
