Great Condo!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Just got home from a wonderful trip to Indian Shores! Our condo was just as described and the entire facility was very well maintained. The elevator was broken during the last two days, but we were just on 2nd floor so it wasn't a problem. I would recommend this place to anyone!

Rating Details: The property manager was adequately helpful. The vacation rental was very dirty. I was very happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The condo was very dirty. However it was Saturday night and a call to the number in the paperwork met with a voice mail indicating that the number was to be used for emergencies such as a lock out. We had to launder the bathroom rugs. The silverware drawer was full of dirty utensils. Food and grease were on the silverware as well as in the organizer. I could not wait until Monday so I put the silverware and many dirty dishes in the dishwasher. 2 loads. I also had to wash the floor it was sticky. The toilet was dirty and a filthy plunger was proper against the tub. I took pictures. We decided to enjoy the location once we had cleaned. The dishes and utensils were old and mismatched. The coffee maker did not produce hot coffee. As the 2 weeks progressed I continued to find food-covered dishes, pans and a corning ware baking dish. One cupboard had a dirty substance on the shelf. On the advise of our friends I stopped by the office to register a complaint and was told I would receive a call. I didn't. If someone had called and I missed it I would expect a voice mail. We enjoyed the beautiful view and the lovely beach. We ate at several wonderful restaurants with our group of friends. Our friends paid the same amount as we did and they stayed in a beautiful, clean condo with a washer and dryer. We have vacationed in many condos. This was the first unhappy experience.

I Will Be Back

Our stay in 204 Chateaux was wonderful, in fact we enjoyed our stay so much we extended our stay for an additional 3 days. Keith and Becky are the new owners of unit 204 and they are great communicators and would bend over backwards to make sure you're accommodated. Keith and Becky also made exciting new updates to the unit. We found the unit well stocked, neat and clean. Chateaux Condo location is ideal, it's walking distance from restaurants, coffee shop, mini golf course and much more. Salt Rock is one of our favorite restaurant to frequent. Our highlight is the view of the gulf from the takes your breath away!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: I have been coming to this great complex for over 4 years. The property recently changed ownership, but it is still clean and quiet. This last time, there were some younger couples who were not respectful of the property, ie bringing glass to the pool, not showering and not watching their children. Other than that it was a great trip. I hope that the owner does not raise the rate to $150.00 a night, since it would be well over market rate. Other than that, it is a nice place to stay.

Place Needed Some Love

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: I found the unit to be adequate with some rooms nicely done, i.e., bathroom and kitchen. However, the living room furniture needs a serious update. The chair in the pictures with an ottoman was not in the unit. That was important to me as I needed to elevate feet for medical condition. My son could not sleep on the pullout couch because of the springs sticking up on the 2" mattress so had to use it as a sofa to sleep on which was not much of an improvement. The lock on the front door needed to be looked at and I requested a locksmith but no one ever came.I was advised that the carpeting was in need of a cleaning and that was an understatement. It did get cleaned during my stay to my satisfaction. The bedding, i.e. comforter, etc, needed washing to the point that I did not use it.The unit needed painting and general clean up. Chateaux in general was a good bang for the buck and the facilities were fine. Kristin worked with me and was willing to move me to another location but I declined and decided to stay.

Great first trip to the Gulf Coast

The unit was clean and equipped with everything we needed including beach chairs and an umbrella. We got really lucky with the warmer than normal November weather and the beach was perfect. Great pool, comfy king bed and very convenient area. We found every type of food within 1/2 hour drive and several good restaurants within walking distance. John's Pass was fun and we found a Groupon for the Dolphin Quest or Pirate Ship Adventure. Most days we felt like we were on our own private beach. I don't think we'd consider staying anywhere else. The area and unit suited us perfectly. Thank you for a great time!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: I can't say enough good things about this property. The view of the Gulf from the balcony was exactly what we wanted. All the rooms were very clean. The kitchen was sufficiently furnished for just about anything we might have wanted to do. The king bed was very comfortable, as were the living room furnishings. The A/C was very efficient. The wi-fi was on the slow side (laptop, browser, no streaming video), but was free. The 2nd-floor location gave me peace of mind in case of tsunami :-) The great beach was not too crowded. We didn't really use the pool, but it was clean and the deck was attractive. Kristin and Ashley from Florida Lifestyles were friendly and helpful. We can't wait to go back.

Fun in the Sun

This was our second stay at the Chateaux and we love the location.Our condo was very nice,good view from our balcony looking out to the gulf of mexico. I would recommend the Chateaux for anybody. We rented a car and went sightseeing every day, played putt-putt right across the street, we liked PJ's oyster bar,good food and very nice. We'll be back again next year same time same place. I almost forgot i even had a seagull land on my head and i have a picture to prove it. Thanks again for a wonderful time.
