If you need a secluded weekend get away look no further. Very cozy place to stay that us just minutes from Galena. Kitchen has everyting you need. Keurig coffee pot as well as a drip.

This was our second stay here and the property is still in good condition. The only issue we had were there weren't any extra supplies like paper towels and garbage bags. Maybe they were there but we couldn't find them. Also more glasses would be good.

Perfect Getaway Weekend

The cabin was great for a weekend getaway. The cabin was fully stocked and we enjoyed a nice, quiet stay at the cabin. We also explored the area with short drives to a supper club in East Dubuque and shopping in Galena. The place had everything we could want and we would definitely stay again!

A Perfect, Peaceful Getaway

I’m so glad that we booked our getaway to the Galena area at this beautiful cabin. It’s set back away from the road and the other properties in a way that truly feels secluded. You get to enjoy the short 15 minute drive to Galena while feeling the tranquility of the beautiful lands surrounding the cabin. The wildlife was really fun to listen to, the cabin was clean and a perfect size, the kitchen set up was perfect for us, and we enjoyed some grilled burgers one night on the back patio. The hosts were great to communicate with, and the check in process was as simple as could be. We love figure skating and it was fun to watch the World competition on the nice streaming TV, while enjoying the comfy living room space. We shopped at the local Piggly Wiggly for some groceries, and truly felt relaxed for the first time in a while during our stay and enjoyed the break from “real” life. Thank you for sharing your beautiful cabin with us!

Get Away Cabin

This is a very nice log home, kitchen is well equipped, but a blender would have been nice. We have stayed at quite a few VRBO's and his cabin was by far the cleanest yet. The location is private and quiet. The host did a great job with communication before and during our stay

Beautiful property

We had a great time. Beautiful secluded property . This was honestly the cleanest property I have rented through and vacation rental websites. We liked the place alot and look forward to doing business with them in the future.

Lovely, well-cared for property

This is a lovely place to stay! This is one time I think the pictures don’t do the property justice. It’s a beautiful country setting, but close to so many towns and things to do. The cabin itself was very homey and everything was squeaky clean. As someone who usually does some cooking while on vacation, I appreciated the good quality kitchen tools. So often rental properties have a hodgepodge of items that were probably picked up at a garage sale or thrift store. It was nice to be able to cook with a nice set of pots/pans and decent knives. You can tell the owners have put a lot of love into the property. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

Relaxing getaway

This cabin was a very comfortable, cozy and peaceful place in the country to sit back and relax after spending time visiting Galena and Dubuque. It was extremely clean and well stocked with anything we would need. Communications with the property owners was fast and easy. We highly recommend this cabin.

Perfect Getaway

Cabin was easy to get to. Enjoyed being back away from everyone and everything but still close to shopping and restaurants. Cabin was very clean and has all of the amenities needed. Quick response from the owner. Will stay again.

Hazel Green Cabin

Thank you for allowing us to bring the pets. It played a major role in the renting decision. If i would change anything, I would reduce the size of the master bed or repostion it to give better access to both sides. The floor squeak next to the bed, became a joke about an alarm for the escaping partner. 😀. Thank you for a great stay. We will considered renting again.

Peaceful getaway

Only a 15 min drive to cute downtown Galena. The cabin was very quiet and relaxing and remote. With that said, if you have a small dog, make sure to keep them leashed when walking around the property just like you would at any other outdoor wilderness. We stayed in February and the cabin was warm and cozy with the fireplace. We definitely recommend the cabin and the host Matthew was always responsive and helpful.
