Property was in a great location. Plenty of space for everyone. Enjoyed the roof top seating and we were only steps from the beach. Plenty of supplies to take to the beach. Would definitely rent the home again.

Great location

We had a great stay, perfect for our annual out of town family vacation! Super close to the beach and close enough to walk to Belmont. David was extremely responsive and ensured we had a great time. He was available for a short call when we had a small issue. Highly recommend!

House is in a great location. Worked for a family but would be better for younger people. Needed more seating and kitchen items to prepare family dinners.Patios and fire pits are nice.Overall, was a pleasant experience with no issues.

We were a group of old friends getting together and the house is perfect. Lots of bedrooms and lots of bathrooms. But the best thing is the fourth story rooftop terrace. Ate dinner there, watched the beach and made smores. Short walk to the beach. They still have a few details to work out since the renovations but it is a great place for a get together. Could easily accomodate a group with lots of children.

Excellent location & attention to details!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here at Mission Beach. It was a great location: steps to the beach, boardwalk and multiple choices for eating and libations. Our teenage boys enjoyed the freedom of walking where they needed to go. The rooftop deck was a nice added feature. Our only complaint would be we wanted more time there!

I could almost copy and paste what the other review posted about location and everything else they said, but I will add one thing. That is the host was quick to respond to any inquiries that we had. Any small detail that we thought should have been taken care of was addressed quickly. I would definitely recommend this place and stay here again!

Great location and responsive host, but set expectations.We enjoyed our stay overall—the home is extremely close to the beach (one row back), walkable to coffee and restaurants, and the rooftop terrace has a great partial ocean view. The garage was spacious and having a garage opener was a nice touch. The home was very clean with plenty of towels, and checkout was simple with minimal instructions.David, the host, was very responsive and helpful anytime we had a question.A few things to note: the property feels like a quick renovation with some corners cut. We encountered a missing smoke alarm, several missing electrical outlet covers, loose or missing towel hooks, and two non-working shampoo dispensers. Out of three propane tanks, only one had gas. There were also minor ants on the bottom floor (common in beach areas).While the listing says it sleeps 12, that would be extremely tight. Realistically, it fits about 3 adults and 4 kids based on the bed sizes and room layout. There’s no dining table—just seating for four at the kitchen island.Overall, it’s clean, safe, and in a fantastic location, but travelers should temper expectations about finish quality for the price point in this very expensive area. For the location and responsiveness, we’d rate it 4 stars.

Thank you for staying with us and for the kind words about the location, cleanliness and communication – we really appreciate it. For future guests, I’d like to clarify a few details about the home. We recently completed a full remodel of the property with over $200,000 invested, including building out the entire 3rd floor with two bedrooms, a full bathroom and additional living space to give families more room to spread out. The current sleeping setup is: 4 bedrooms with 3 queen beds, 1 bunk bed and 2 full beds Living room with 2 full pull-out sofa beds The home is designed to host larger family groups, and many of our reservations are 12 guests who use this full bed configuration comfortably. Definitely more than 3 adults.. We also inspected the home after this stay and checked/ addressed the items you mentioned – Our listing photos and description also show the kitchen-island seating in place of a separate dining table so guests can see the exact layout before booking. We’re glad you enjoyed the beach proximity, rooftop space and garage, and we appreciate your feedback as we continue to keep the home in great shape for future guests.

We had fun

Location was great and as described. The rental was a bit disappointing as it wasn't really as described. The roof-top ocean view was highly exaggerated. You could see a sliver of the ocean if you stood in a very small box area on the roof, otherwise it was a rooftop view of rooftops. The "remodel" must of missed putting screens, curtains or blinds in the windows. All the blinds were damaged or missing. The upstairs bathroom had no screen, no blinds, no curtains. If you want to take a shower and let the steam out of the bathroom, you open your window and expose yourself to your neighbors in their living room. But, all that aside, the host was fast to respond to all communications, the place was clean well stocked, and the location was perfect. We all had a fun family vacation at the beach.
