The property was in a wonderful location! The place was beautiful and comfortable but could use a few things. For example, put in some hooks in the bathrooms to hang towels, fix the towel bar in the middle bedroom, put a longer shower curtain in the walk in shower, put outlets in the large bedroom bathroom and dressing area,and fix the whistling sound from the AC unit! We would love to stay there again! The restaurants right outside our door were terrific! After the response to get all of the other outlets to work, that was great and response was very quick! We just wish the response would have been so quick on our check out day! We unfortunately lost an entire day in your beautiful city because we didn’t know soon enough that we could leave our luggage there. Also… not in your control was the loud construction noise beginning very early every morning! All in all it was perfect for us. The kitchen was amazing and we thank you again for hosting us!

Stay away!

Major construction going on next door...workers started making significant noise (including jackhamer) starting at 5:30 am and also at night there is a very loud nightclub in front and people were partying and very loud in appartment above us - I believe this place is a location for major partygoers.Also, there were cracks in the wall and scuff marks everywhere and oven would only partially heat - most electrical outlets did not work and smoke alarm kept on beeping (even at night)The shower in one of the rooms leaked all over the floor and the backs of one of the dining room chairs was broken (almost fell back on the floor)This place needs some upkeep for sure and I would recommend anybody to stay away during the construction - this is the first time I wrote a negative review on VRBO - the host/owner was not very sympathetic when I reported this to him and he did offer anything to help our situation - will not be going back to this place for sure!

perfect spot and perfect host

We loved the place and it suited our needs exactly. right downtown, and we walked everywhere. David was a perfect host, and we had an issue or two that were immediately resolved. The place was comfortable and great. Places to eat were all over and right off st catherine and near Crescent Street, and we walked to Old Montreal and up to the Plateau. we would stay there again. thanks david. Lee Phoenix AZ

Beautiful Penthouse in Montreal!

Some pros and cons for the property:PROSAbsolutely gorgeous house! Photos are accurate and the home is well maintained! The rooms were nice and spacious! The area is so lively and you’re near tons of restaurants, cafes, and shops! CONSBecause the area is so lively, the night life can get a bit noisy so bring earplugs if you’re a light sleeper! The home shares walls with a restaurant so sometimes the smells and sounds leak into the property. All in all this is a great property and i would totally stay here again! The host is very kind and responsive!

Great Location

So much around this area as far as restaurants, pubs and the business district. The place was clean and the space was huge. Our host was very responsive and it was easy checking in. The weekend was a bit noisy for the front bedroom that faced the street as there are some very busy restaurant/bar establishments below the unit and across the street. The back bedrooms were quieter. Would highly recommend this place, just take ear plugs for weekend visits.

Great spot, not for families

The apartment is very spacious and clean. Our family of 6 was very comfortable. The place is fully renovated (on a budget) and has most necessities for a comfortable stay. The location is perfect if your goal is to explore downtown Montreal and enjoy the night life. It is located in the heart of restaurant district on de la Montagne. Parking is convenient. It is, however, a first floor apartment, so noise till the early hours of the morning is common. It also located just over 3 restaurants (it shares en entrance with one of them), and the smell of food and fish (2 are sushi restaurants) is also noticeable. The owner/management team is responsive to messages on the VRBO app. We had an issue with the heat, and one of the rooms was not habitable due the temperature never rising above 17C, but I am assuming this will be fixed.
