Cozy Cottage steps from the Pristine Chain O’ Lakes Waupaca

Situated close to water access with a peek-a-boo backyard view of Taylor lake. Walking distance to local restaurants, boat tours, playground, ice cream shop, bike trails, water sport rental, and shops/boutiques. Our cottage is the perfect location for your next getaway! Enjoy the Chain O’ Lakes with public boat ramp located a mile away or drop in our kayaks 0.1 miles from our home at Clear Water Harbor. The 22 spring fed lakes are a mix of full recreation and slow no wake lakes where you can enjoy swimming, kayaking, tubing, skiing, fishing or a day of fun in the sun. A great space for your family, couples, or friends. Fall in love with the original hardwood floors and arched doorways. A front and back porch for game playing or relaxing with a book. A plush queen bed in the main bedroom, twin over full memory foam bunk bed down the hallway or the twin daybed with trundle located in the entryway room will accommodate for flexible sleeping arrangements. The living room has a comfortable L shaped couch as well as an oversized chair. Enjoy watching your favorite shows when you log into your apps on the 55 inch ROKU TV. The bathroom has a wonderful rain shower. The charming galley kitchen is supplied with all the cookware and appliances for your needs during your stay. There is a 4 person dining area off of the kitchen, but if you need more space our dining room opens up to a enclosed porch with a pub table that accommodates 4. Enjoy grilling out during the day and campfires at night. There are two kayaks available for use that can be dropped in 0.1 miles from our cottage or stop at Adventure Outfitters water sport rental for more options. Kayak the Upper Chain, Crystal River, or Waupaca River, with option of local tour guides. Feel like exploring Waupaca? Check out downtown shops, dining and historic sites.
The driveway accommodates two cars. Have a boat? No worries, we can arrange parking in our back yard area upon requests. Note: host may ask for ID verification for compliance.

This was our 2nd time staying here. Great property for people who love to kayak. It is not right on the lake, but they provide 2 kayak carts and a very close place to drop in your kayaks. There are shops and restaurants within walking distance as well. Check in was easy, host was very responsive during our stay. It was clean mostly, they do allow dogs and we did find stray dog hair now and again. Plenty of towels and dishes. Did not make any big meals while there.

Fantastic stay, perfect location!

This house did not disappoint! Walking distance to morning coffee, shopping and evening cocktails/ dinner! The cottage was super clean and equipped with everything you could need. Great yard for hanging out or playing games. A perfect 10! We hope to rent next year!

Cute cottage

Cute cottage. Well stocked. It is right on the Main Street which provides quick access to shops and a couple of restaurants. Loved that we could use the kayaks and it wasn’t bad to bring them about a block to put them in on the lake since the cabin doesn’t have direct lack access Overall good experience.

Great location

We came to the Chain to kayak. It was a perfect location for us. While it wasn't on the lake, the host provided carts for our kayaks and a very close place to launch that we could walk to. Clearwater harbor inn restaurant was within walking distance. There was a minor issue with the house, but the hosts responded and took care of it promptly. We would recommend this place to others looking to enjoy the water without paying the on lake prices.

Nice spot on King St!

A great location right in the heart of King. We had a coffee shop, restaurants, bars, boutiques and shops, plus the lake, harbor and all sorts of other attractions right out the front or back door. The space was comfortable for our group of four adult family members. The backyard is pretty big, with a nice outdoor table and chairs. The home had more than most VRBOs I have stayed at before, like lots of kitchen supplies and linens. The host was really nice and gave us a couple of group specific recommendations that were lovely! Highly recommend this spot!

Great Area for a Family to enjoy

Loved being close to all the "touristy" spots... Never drove more than 20 minutes to get anywhere! Water is beautiful, highly suggest renting a Pontoon and going up the entire Chain. Our family had a blast.

Perfect place

We had a great weekend visiting Waupaca while staying at this VRBO. The owner was easy to reach and said she was available if we had any questions or needed suggestions on things to do in the area. She also offered us an early check in time for no additional cost which was very helpful. The house was very clean upon arrival and had a fantastic location close to everything down town! I would highly recommend this property.
