Fully remodeled house 5 min from Lake Erie, large yard.

Completely remodeled cozy country home with a great deck, yard, firepit and enclosed front porch. We invite you to our nautical themed home 5 minutes from Lake Erie. We are the perfect place for your family or group planning a fishing trip or a birding expedition. With new appliances, you will enjoy cooking up a meal after your day on the Lake, along with soaking in the sunsets from the back porch that faces the west.

It is a comfortable stay for 8 people; two to a bedroom. The loft is special place tucked away upstairs for the kiddos with 2 twin beds. You could plug in a gaming console upstairs, if you bring one along.

The property owners live directly next door. If your timing is right, you may be able to score a doz. fresh eggs from their hens.

This location is conveniently located near Lake Erie and the Ottawa National Wildlife Refuge. Meinke Marina and Anchor Point Marina are across the street.

Port Clinton; Jet Express to Put-In-Bay - 20 minutes. Sandusky; Cedar Point - 40 minutes.
Downtown Toledo - 20 minutes.
Detroit Airport - 45 minutes.

One word, EVERYTHING. There is nothing these hosts haven’t thought of. They have taken feedback from stays, and made this place the absolute best rental we’ve been in. Coffee, Tim Hortons - my personal favorite. Need a box fan to cool off, or like me, just for the noise? There are two in the closet. Snacks, hot chocolate bar on the island, full laundry supplies, soft towels and bedding. An upstairs that’s perfect for kids to hang, with two twin beds, a MASSIVE TV, and two chairs for the gamers. The binder has everything you need, and then some. It was too cold to enjoy the fire out, and outdoor amenities, but wow, there’s a lot. Outdoor television, every yard game you could ask for, plenty of seating, and a peaceful setting. Seriously. I thought the location wouldn’t be convenient, but it’s only a 20 minute drive to Toledo, and Oregon/Maumee Bay are right down the road. I think that’s everything, but who knows There are so many great things, I may have missed one.

We so appreciated the attention to detail that Amy and Ron give this property. We found helpful guides and directions throughout the house; every room was exceptionally clean; even the subtle seasonal decor added a homey touch that sets it apart! We will absolutely consider a return visit next time we find ourselves out that way.

A really great rental with the space we needed and great location for our birding adventures.The hosts provided a generous welcome basket with snacks and bottled water. They had wood for the firepit and lawn games in the shed. And the kitchen was well stocked, especially the electric griddle for easy pancakes in the mornings.Amy also provided fresh eggs from her chickens, and came over immediately when her rooster, Freddy, wandered into the yard to check on us. We got a kick out of his curiosity and will definitely be back again.Well appointed and super location to Maumee Bay State Park and the Ottawa Wildlife refuge. Don't miss Howard Marsh just down the road if you're birding.

We had a great stay while visiting Toledo, Maumee Bay, Marblehead, and Kelley's Island. It was very clean and loved the decor. We enjoyed all the house had to offer. The screened front porch and big backyard porch with lots of seating were nice even though we didn't get to using either much due to the weather. There was multiple indoor and outdoor games available (corn hole, ladder toss,). We also appreciated the snacks.

Great experience! Everything was very clean and there were tons of extra snacks, blankets, etc. The property was beautiful and quiet and the whole check in and out process was very easy! Would definitely recommend!

Everything we could need or want!

This home was an amazing experience. The hosts ensured we had everything we could possibly need and then some, from dish soap and dishwasher detergent, toiletries and laundry detergent to card games, cornhole, and all the supplies needed for s’mores! Such an amazing stay!

What a surprisingly special VRBO to stay at. I'm the only one that stayed overnight but my family came to celebrate Christmas at lunch and early dinner on Saturday. Lovely four bedroom home already decorated for the holiday which took a big load off of my mind. I'm no longer a spring chicken and and I'm dealing with a serious diagnosis At the same time my husband has Parkinson's. Lol We have been blessed with wonderful life together and a community that a particularly kind. We spend Christmas away from our home in order to have the family over because of the allergies to our dogs. It's the only way that we can all be together. I usually run out a couple lodges at Maumee Bay but I thought I would try this instead and I was very pleasantly surprised. All the little quirks and surprise features made this home perfect for me. From the rope handle going up to the attic bedroom which would have been my choice I loved it up there it's just so cozy and welcoming. To the fish that sits next to the sink that is actually like four cups. Maybe went to look around for more things exactly like that. Beds raw comfortable linens were clean house was spotless and ready to be used. Everything from spices to pots and pans and linens to a Christmas tree. My god knew exactly what he was doing when he sent me there. So Merry Christmas everyone and thank you for sharing your home with us amen

We had an excellent stay in the remodeled home in Curtice, Ohio. The home was clean, beautiful and very homey. My family and I had a wonderful and comfortable time together!! It was an excellent & memorable weekend getaway!!!

Cutest, coziest, cleanest little place!

This house was so very cute, cozy, welcoming, and clean. It was perfect for our family's vacation to the lake. The hosts provided not only the basic necessities, but lots of extras and goodies as well. The back porch was so peaceful to sit on while drinking our coffee. We are hoping to go back in the fall and probably every summer!

Charming place to stay

My family and I stayed here for 6 nights and it was perfect for us. Plenty of space for us to hang out in the house and spacious backyard for a campfire or playing a game. Close to Toledo, Lake Erie, and other attractions in the area. We had a wonderful time! And the hosts were gracious and quick to respond to our inquiries. Thank you!

Perfect spot for family stay

Amy & Ron ensured the home had everything we needed and treated us to s'more fixings, firewood, and other nice touches. If you're looking for a quiet home with a huge covered porch and dreamy sunsets, this is the place for you. They had all of the amenities needed to enjoy our stay, and it was a short drive to the local hikes, beaches, and fun stuff.

Better than home

This home was more welcoming and cozy than my own home! Loved the little snacks/treats. Everything was clean and had enough space for storing our things for the weekend. The backyard was a great size for games and tossing balls, and there were plenty of areas in the home to eat and retreat to. Owners were very responsive when we needed things. Neighborhood area felt safe and was quiet.

We have lived in our small Curtice community for most of our lives. We love the tranquility the rural area brings, and our families are here.

Teachout Tuck-A-Way is next door to our family home. We love living on Teachout Road, and we are sure that you will enjoy the experience as well, no matter how short-term your stay is.

The house is the perfect size; not too big, not too small. The yard has a fire pit for sitting around the campfire and roasting marshmallows. The sunset is breathtaking to the west over the farm field.
