Had a wonderful stay at Donald’s place. He is a great host - very responsive whenever I reached out with questions and has done a fantastic job stocking the cabin with all the essentials and many extras. Will definitely stay here again the next time I’m in the area visiting family.

Really enjoyed staying at this property. Favorite was having coffee on porch while listening to birds and watching the river. Lots of amenities including waters in frig, breakfast cereal, and snacks. Everything needed for a great visit to the area.

An Easy Place to Stay in the Toledo Area

We stayed with our two little kids. It was a simple property with plenty to explore. When we weren't visiting White Star Quarry or the Imagination Station, we would walk near the creek or look for turtles. Would stay again.

Weekend Getaway

Don the owner greeted us at the cabin appreciating our stay. Perfect little cabin for a week or weekend getaway. The wife and I wanted to find a place near White Star Quarry. We enjoyed every second at the cabin and the quarry.

Such an amazing place to stay!! It’s was immaculately clean and beautifully decorated. The hosts made you feel at home and were accessible if I needed anything. It’s really easy to find and if you need to go to the market….grocery and retail is just a short drive away. If you’re there on the business…the WiFi is incredibly fast!!! Thank you Don!!!

Great place to stay!

This cabin is a really great place to stay! It was clean and had all the necessities! Don was very welcoming and stopped by when we were checking in to show us around the cabin. I was grateful that we found a place to rent with a ramp since my mom uses a wheel much of the time. The WiFi was fast and reliable. The cabin is right on a river, and has a lovely deck. Don and his wife were responsive when there was a plumbing issue, coming right over to take care of it. It’s decorated very nicely too! Thank you!

We had such a lovely stay at this cozy little riverside gem! The house was absolutely charming — 1 bedroom with a comfy queen bed and an upstairs loft with 2 twin beds that felt like the perfect hideaway. The whole place had this vintage, farm-chic style that was both warm and inviting. It felt so safe and peaceful, like a little retreat tucked away from the world.The location was a dream — quiet and nestled right up against the river (so relaxing!), but I could be in town in just a few minutes. Best of both worlds!The hosts were so thoughtful and kind. There were snacks waiting for me on top of the microwave (such a sweet surprise!), and a filtered water jug already chilled in the fridge — a detail I truly appreciated. There were plenty of towels and extra pillows, and the WiFi password was easy to spot right away. Communication was great, and they were very prompt in responding.A special shoutout to Don for leaving fresh cucumbers from his garden on the porch — such a thoughtful touch that made my stay feel extra personal and homey.All in all, this place was comfy, charming, and exactly what I needed. I would absolutely recommend it, and I’m already looking forward to coming back again!

Quaint cabin expertly constructed, well laid out, and nicely decorated to provide a nice relaxing space with plenty of amenities should you forget anything (i.e. coffee, toothbrush, toothpaste, snacks). The home has a bedroom, maybe with a full-sized bed that raises, a small loft with two twin beds, and a sofa bed in the living area. You may want to bring slippers for climbing the iron-meshed stairs to the loft. The location is a serene atmosphere with a rolling river just outside your door. You can sit on a nearby park bench that’s shaded and on a private trail that overlooks the river, and rewind or fish. There is also a fire pit with plenty of wood and a propane grill out back along the deck. Everything is well kept, clean, and appears to be in good working order. Check with Don on the instructions to setting the living room heater if needed. Also, the sleeping areas face the rural road, so those whose ears are sensitive to the occasional speeding vehicle would be well-advised to use a white noise app which effectively minimizes the noise. We did not make good use of everything since we used the place mostly as a base for our daily trips with our kids, though I would highly recommend this cabin for anyone looking to get away and relax. This was our first experience in a private rental property, and I can see returning in the future. A full-sized washer/dryer was a bonus that allowed us to clean our clothes prior to leaving.
