Home filled all our needs. Only complaint was that there was no dishwasher, dish or laundry detergent.

The location is excellent, close to the town beach, shops and restaurants. The living room couches and chairs were very comfortable. The kitchen and dining room are spacious and convenient for group cooking. The bathrooms are nicely updated and the beds are very comfortable. There are plenty of pillows around the house!Most of the bedrooms are large and very nice, with 2 exceptions. One of the upstairs bedrooms has a narrow curved entryway, which can make entering a challenge. One of the downstairs bedrooms is rather small with bunk beds. That bedroom has sheer curtains on a window that overlooks the street and a side window which has a large gap in the curtain. This situation leaves one feeling very exposed and vulnerable, especially in the evening. There are also very few outlets in that small bedroom and none convenient near the bed. It would be great if those details could be addressed. The stairs are also quite steep and were a bit of a challenge to navigate, but that’s to be expected in a house that old.Overall it was a great experience and we would stay there again.

Such a nice place! Couldn’t have asked for a better place to spend my wedding weekend. A warning for anyone planning on renting- the stairs are extremely steep, common with houses as old as this. Fortunately there are two bedrooms on the first floor for those of us with mobility issues, which worked great for me. Thank you so much!

This house was perfect for my large family. It is a great location with plenty to do close to the house. Clean. Communication with Jen was easy. Would recommend to stay here.

Clinton Clipper

Our extended family of 10 shared a post-wedding reunion and found this home and its culinary appointments well-suited to our needs. The updated kitchen/dining and connecting Florida room were ideal for meals and socializing. Additionally, we discovered that the second-story deck and the treehouse were great for private conversations.The historic and maritime DNA of this lovely home is evident throughout. Each of the 6 bedrooms reflects the whaling history of the area and is nicely outfitted with period furniture and comfortable beds. Some attention to the property and the exterior of the building, especially a new coat of paint, could help preview the interior charm of the home. The two bathrooms were well-equipped with modern showers that anticipated the safety needs of our seniors. However, we chose to have the seniors sleep on the first floor because the incline of both stairways is steeper than in modern homes. We had a wonderful visit and would return for a similar celebration.

Cozy Clinton Christmas

This was the BEST decision for our family. The house was very cozy, old charm feel with some modern updates. The downstairs bathroom had a Spa vibe. We loved the 6 bedrooms & spacious kitchen & dining room. Loved how close it was to food & entertainment. The walk to the beach was only 10 minutes & very safe. We are use to blinds and/or shades, so just having light curtains for the windows was

Ladies shopping weekend

Old house with neat features. Great dining area to sit, chat, eat, play games. No blinds and only sheer curtains, so if you like to sleep in, it's kind of bright once the sun rises. Nice walk to the beach.

College friends get-together

The interior of the home was clean and welcoming. We had plenty of space and comfortable accommodations. I received many kudos from my friends for choosing this venue. The beach was a five minute walk from the house and the beautiful weather was the finishing touch. Looking forward to a return visit.

Perfect House for the Family

Came to Connecticut for our son's graduation from Yale. Perfect house away from the craziness in New Haven. This allowed the family to be together in a relaxing peaceful location. House is on a busy street, but you would never know when you are inside or sitting in the backyard. I only wish I had another reason to visit Clinton so that I could stay in the comfortable historical home again. Thank you!!!

A family summer gathering!

My son and 7 of his children drove 18 hours from Wisconsin to meet up with me, my daughter, and my granddaughter for a week! We were able to check in early and scope out what I might need to bring for a group of 11! The room and bed arrangement worked out perfectly - especially for me since I have mobility issues- the first-floor queen room was perfect. The big lawn was great for many games of croquet. The kitchen was very well appointed and the little kids' room was fantastic. The AC was very helpful. One small bedroom did not have one but we were assured that if one was needed, it would be installed. Proximity to everything, plenty of parking, a brand new Webber gas grill, a huge TV, and a good washer and dryer were all very appreciated. All in all, a fantastic place for a family of three generations to gather!

Cozy historic house with modern amenities

My family of four adults and three children ages 10-12 gathered from both coasts and in between. We enjoyed ample space in the home and yard and convenience to beaches. The home retains its antique charm while the kitchen and bathrooms have all the modern updates. The manager responded immediately to my call when I had trouble with the key. A wonderful experience!

As Expected

This old colonial home was very charming. We enjoyed our stay. The only thing to be aware of is there is only air conditioning in 4 of the bedrooms and it was quite hot while we were there. The location is great, and it's a short walk in to town.
