Villa is spreaded on 4 levels: Ground level is studio for 2-3 person and has king size bed, sofa bed, bathroom with shower. First level has bedroom and has king size bed (or 2 single beds, upon wish ), sofa bed, bathroom with shower. Second level has living room with sofa bed, kitchen, bathroom. Third level has bedroom with queen size bed, bathroom with shower. Fourth level has bedroom in loft and has 2 double beds (can sleep 4 person) . To get access to the 4th bedroom, it is necessary to pass 3th bedroom
Villa Veli Varos is situated in the center of the old town of Split, the popular Plinarska street. Riva is 150 meters from us, Diocletian's Palace, 200 m, 150 fish market, Square Ujevic 20 m, 20m Croatian National Theater, recreation center with beautiful beaches Marjan, begins 100 meters from us . Popular restaurant and coffee shop Ciribiribela is next to our house and we are proud of its beautiful surroundings and daily fresh Dalmatian meals and homemade cakes.

Great location and owner

Perfect location on a pedestrian street and a very short walk to anything needed. Marina was excellent - sent us a video of how to get in to the place and everything worked great. Highly recommend.

Unbelievable location

We had a great stay here. The location can’t be beat with easy access to restaurants and the water. You must have a meal at the restaurant next door. It is really really good. The property worked well for us with plenty of bedrooms. No gourmet meals will be prepared in the tiny kitchen but it was fine. Marina was very helpful.

Great Location & Lovely Property

Host Marina was super responsive when emailed with questions and she even arranged a driver to pick our group of 6 up from airport! Easy check-in & out. All rooms were very clean! There is a separate entrance for one of the rooms with separate kitchenette & bathroom. There are stairs going up to each bedroom, but they are not bad and are well lit. Would recommend staying here & would stay again if back in Split. Thank you!

Great Old Town Place

Great property which is essentially 3 separate apartments. We had 2 families of 4 who were comfortable. The location requires parking (which can be tough to find) and then a short walk because it is in the walking only part of town. This was made known to us before hand. The hostess was attentive and checked in on us several times. Clean and surrounded by great restaurants (especially the one right next door).

The perfect house and location

The house was more than suitable for the 12 of us adults while in Split. There were enough bathrooms and sleeping quarters. The kitchen area was a great meeting place for all of us to have a drink and plan our day. The location is the best. Restaurants, grocery stores, coffee shops are all around, and the main boardwalk is a 10 minute walk. Away from the hustle and bustle is perfect. Marina the host is excellent in responding back to you if you have any questions. We are already planning our next stay when we arrive in 2024. You will not be dissapointed.

Croatian Getaway

I traveled with a group of friends to take part in an event in Zagreb. We had 3 days, at the end of our 2 weeks to check out Split, and Villa Veli Varos did not disappoint. The house was exactly as depicted in the photos. The stone walls exuded old world charm. It was very clean, well maintained, and Marina responded to any inquiry we had, very promptly! The location within the old walled city was perfect for exploring the history of this ancient city. Marina arranged transport for us to amd from the Split airport, which was very helpful, especially with a 6:45 am departure. Thank you Marina for allowing us to stay in your beautiful home!

Our stay in Split

We were with another couple and a friend. The main part of the residence has two bedrooms with en-suite bath rooms, a loft bedroom without a bath, and a small kitchen and a living/dining area. The third bedroom has an en-suite bath and is entered directly off the street. The main part of the residence is small but just fine. The third bedroom could be better ventilated. There are three public parking areas nearby. The least expensive one is cheap but always jammed. There are generally spaces in the other two. The rate is higher, but you can find a space. The property is centrally located, close to the palace, good restaurants and grocery stores. Overall we had a very nice stay. Great place!

Great location!

Marina was responsive and communicative, and the place is in a great location in old town. The house is comfortable and nicely designed! I would note that we only had light quilts for blankets and were quite chilly without proper comforters. The hot water also ran out after each shower, which was inconvenient. Other than that, it was a good stay!

Perfect location

The property was so clean and has so much charm. Marina was amazing and communicated with us throughout the entire stay. The beds were comfortable and the AC was so good for those hot days in Split. We were a group of 8 people and the space was perfect for us. Thank you Marina for everything you did for us. We will truly never forget our stay at your property.

Great Stay!

We had a large group of 14 adults for our trip to Split, so this property was GREAT for us. The host was very accommodating and made check-in and check-out smooth and easy. We loved being in walking distance to everything and how well kept the house was. Everything was perfect and we couldn't have asked for a better place to stay!!

We stayed at this perfectly located villa in beautiful old town split for 3 nights with extended family of 8. Very quiet, Lots of privacy and space for all. Marina is a wonderful fabulous host. She will help you with anything you need. I definitely recommend this accommodation!!!

2 little negatives : Pull the baggages up on the 3rd floor for one room. If some one cook using more than one round , the breaker may jump. Make sure you know where it is.

Awesome location!

The Villa/Apartments were great, we had no complaints. Location was prime. Rooms were comfy More importantly the Host was super. We moved from Split to Hvar and Marina helped us with queries and suggestions whilst we were in Hvar. We did the Blue and Green Cave tours with Marina also and she was brilliant, couldnt have asked for a better host. Thank you Marina

Great Location!

Clean, quiet, comfortable loft just off the main street... Living area is very small but in European standards i guess its normal. Host was very accommodating and communication was good. Overall we enjoyed our stay.

- My grandparents bought this house in 1951 and I rent it since 10 years ago
- House is very special, comfortable for accommodating a group of friends or a family. It's in pedestrian area, very close to all top points: Diocletian Palace, Riva promenade, sandy and pebbled beaches, fish and green market, monuments and galleries, park Marjan, ferry and bus station, speed boat station, marina, many taverns and restaurants, coffee shops and wine bars.
