Welcome to The Zen Den! This boutique lower-level apartment is cozy and quaint with 1 bedroom & 1 bath, ideal for 1-3 persons coming to enjoy the beach or a home away from home. Make use of our private ZEN patio for yoga, or meditation or enjoy a shared beach view from the upper-level patio & firepit. Shopping is located Downtown just 9 mins away and the closest convenience store is walking distance or a 2 min drive. Whether traveling for business or pleasure, you will have all you need here!

Everything thing was as pictured.Bed was amazing.Only negative thing is ceiling height in bathroom very low for someone over 6 foot but definitely not a deal breaker, just gad to remember to duck going thru door and while using the mirror.Very convenient to venues we were visiting.

Perfect Getaway

We absolutely adored the place. I was extremely happy with bed it was like sleeping on a cloud. The host was amazing. We will definitely be booking again.

Gorgeous gorgeous gorgeous

the Zen Den was a beautiful stay! So clean, smelled like a dream, & the bed is amazing! It’s gorgeously decorated and feels like you’re staying somewhere seen on an instagram post. The location is perfect for walking to the seawall. Valerie is so sweet and knowledgeable about the area, gave us the best recs around. The next time we come to Galveston we’ll def be staying here again.

I thoroughly enjoyed this cozy garden apartment, from the comfy bed to the well stocked kitchen and gorgeous bathroom. Loved the beautiful finishes and the many personal touches that make it feel like home. I hope to treat myself by staying here again one day.

Great Memory

This was our first time at an Air B&B. The property manager was great and always responded to all of my questions, but was very forthcoming with important information. The home was very clean, and it was clear that she cared about our experience.

Perfect Getaway!

We had a wonderful time! Thank you Valerie for being an amazing host! We enjoyed having a nightcap on the enclosed patio and the short walk to the Seawall. The Historic Strand District is a very short drive away. Valerie has impeccable decorating taste (we came home with some ideas for our own house)! We will definitely stay at the Zen Den again!

Best stay ever

Everything was perfect, it was so comfortable and cuddly . You have everything you need at your fingertip, the location is PERFECT. it only took us not even 1 minute to walk to Seawall/beach. The shower was the best, I took more showers than i normally do because it felt amazing. The bed was so comfortable.

Galveston trip with my daughter

We stayed at Valeries place and it was beautiful, well appointed and decorated beautiful. The location could not be beat close to everything. The bed was super comfortable. Wi-Fi was perfect. Valerie was very helpful and responsive. The ceilings are quite low but it was totally fine for my daughter and I, could be a little challenging for my 6’ 4” boyfriend, but the location makes it all worth it.

The perfect place!

This is what my friend and I kept telling each other about this cozy one bedroom. It is a fully equipped rental, one block from the seawall. (How Perfect and accommodating it was!) Not to mention the bed was so soft it was like melting into butter. Valerie is a great host and we so enjoyed our stay. I wish I could’ve stayed longer! Maybe next time.

SUPERB! Highly recommend! So cozy!

Our stay was superb in every way. The place was meticulously clean, well-stocked and so very cozy! Zen Den is def an accurate description. The closed in porch was a favorite spot to relax after a long day. And the bed!! A cloud, heavenly. The rental was in prime location to everything and the neighborhood was quiet. The property manager was accommodating to any needs we had and we actually became quite fond of her! A wonderful person. You will not be disappointed. We look forward to staying here again.

Adorable

This place was so cute! Everything was decorated and put together beautifully. The host was incredibly kind and super responsive. She didn’t skimp on the quality of bedding which makes such a difference. Just a note for tall folks..the ceiling is very low. Maybe just about 6.5’ and a bit lower in the bathroom. But you can’t beat the location and charm of this well designed place!!

Galveston Gem

This was the cutest and cleanest rental we have booked and we always rent top of the line. Valerie kept her guests in mind with all the little touches and the place was spotless. It was so relaxing to feel comfortable and know that everything was super clean. The decor is super cute and they went above and beyond with everything including the decor, furniture, linens, bedding, appliances, and tile. We had the best sleep in a long time. The ceilings are short though, just so you are aware. I would say they are under 7'. I am 6'1" and had to duck a smidge to go into doorways and to shower. It was no worries though as the stay was so relaxing and super close to the seawall and to The Strand where a ton of cool shops and restaurants are.

-Just 9 min. from downtown, and 1 block from the beach, The Zen Den offers you incredible comfort with modern amenities and convenience.
-Make use of the private patio for yoga, or meditation. Redfish Pool Bar is located next to Nicks (1 block away) which offers live music on Friday & Saturday nights during the summer and the pool and hot tub is open to the public.

Start off your day with your favorite routine, then head to breakfast in your fully equipped kitchen or a short 8 min drive to Mosquito Cafe, Sunflower Bakery, or the MOD Coffee House. Later on, put on your best swimsuit and enjoy a magical day at the beach with 3 beach chairs & towels or enjoying one of the many activities at the beach. Afterward, enjoy the tranquil sounds of the ZEN fountain in the front yard. Finally, relax and enjoy a nice movie night or work on your creative ideas on the live edge table that serves at a dining table or work desk.

This residential neighborhood puts you at the halfway mark between downtown and the beach with modern comforts and conveniences. Situated in a new and growing residential area, perfect to bike, walk or jog around. Shopping is located Downtown, 9 mins away and the closest convenience store is walking distance or a 2 min drive, and Kroger's grocery is a 4 min drive (1.4 miles) away. Easy access to the bike path on the seawall from the apartment which is the longest continuous sidewalk in the world. Surrounded by so much to do, Pleasure Pier is just 1.1 miles away or a 4 min drive.
Galveston is a wonderful dining destination. Grotto Italian Cuisine, Gaidos & Nicks Seafood, Landry's Seafood, Rainforest Cafe, Brick House Tavern, Salsas Mexican Catina, Joes Crab Shack, Gumbo Diner.

There are also so many things to see and do around Galveston. Everything from beach & water sports. Jet Ski Rentals located 1 blk away during the summer season, paddle boarding, boating, parks, hiking, fishing tours, golfing, day trips on the land & water duck tour, trolly, segway tree sculpture, & electric bike tours!
