Lulu’s Lodge is a cozy, custom-built log cabin tucked into 6 private wooded acres in Danbury, WI. Designed for rest and connection, the cabin features a dramatic stone fireplace, private hot tub, fire pit, and expansive outdoor living spaces surrounded by forest.

With two bedrooms plus a sunroom sleeping area and 1.5 baths, the cabin comfortably hosts couples, families, or small groups. Inside, warm log beams, thoughtful amenities, and a fully equipped kitchen make it easy to settle in. Outside, enjoy wildlife sightings, stargazing, and year-round recreation nearby.

Cozy cabin decorated nicely. The upstairs bed is pretty uncomfortable but you can’t expect much from a vacation rental.

We’ve stayed at this cabin for two years in a row, and it’s been a wonderful experience each time. The cabin’s charm and cozy atmosphere make it feel like a true getaway. Beautiful quiet place!

We just loved this quiet stay in the woods! Such a lovely place surrounded by trees, bird sounds, and wind, with a hammock, sunny game room, and comfortable bed. So quiet, all the screened windows could be open and you wouldn't even know it!

We loved our stay. The cabin is nestled in the woods. From the welcome sign to the little signs everywhere, it was a great place for a weekend retreat. The owners were very attentive and responsive. Definitely recommend!

Fall Colors Delight

Second time staying at this cabin. My friend and I love the charm, woods, wood burning fire place, being pet friendly, great host, and not far from the Twin Cities to enjoy a gorgeous fall colors weekend getaway.

Fabulous Fall!

I can't say enough great things about this place. The setting is peaceful and very private. Everything about the interior of the cabin oozes hospitality from a fully supplied kitchen to specially folded towels in every guest room. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will definitely return.

Great getaway!

My friend and I booked this cabin as a quick getaway weekend from the Twin Cities to watch some tournament volleyball. The setting of the cabin was perfectly quiet and the size for the two of us was more than enough. Cozy fireplace as well! Thanks for sharing your place with us!

My week away

It is absolutely beautiful! It was so quiet and peaceful--all I heard was the wind, rain, and animals in the woods. Cabin is excellently maintained. Tub is awesome! Fireplace is wonderful. Can't wait to return!

Took our side by sides into this area for the first time. Short distance to casino and other attractions. Found awesome trails and the cabin was wonderful. We shall return!

The perfect re-charge

As exhausted parents to 2 kids, we were able re-charge and find the peace and quiet we were looking for. This property is so loved and it shows. I can tell that the owners take pride in cleanliness and are very attentive to details. Everywhere you look is absolutely beautiful inside this cabin. We are so excited to return in the future.

Awesome stay, beautiful place

This place is absolutely beautiful. Loved the patio and grill. Beds were very comfy and there are quality modern touches everywhere. Very relaxing as soon as you drive up! Really feels set back and disconnected from busy life. Hosts were very accommodating and highly responsive any time we asked a question! Will definitely be back.

A perfect home base for Grandma's Marathon!

We had a wonderful three night stay at the cabin. Communication before and during our stay was perfect, and the cabin itself is lovely. It provided the perfect home base for Grandma's Marathon in Duluth (about 1 hour away). The grounds are beautiful (and perfect for bird watching!). We also enjoyed day trips to Pattison State Park and Interstate State Park for hiking. I would recommend this rental to anyone looking for a secluded getaway that still offers access to many attractions!

We are three sisters who own and care for Lulu’s Lodge, our family cabin. After our mom suffered a stroke in 2022, our parents had to sell the cabin quickly. We couldn’t imagine losing this special place, so we found a way to purchase it together and share it with others. After our mom passed away, the cabin became even more meaningful—it now holds many of our family’s memories and stories. Hosting here is personal for us, and we truly want guests to feel welcomed, cared for, and at peace during their stay.
