If you are looking for a place to "Get away to", you have found the place. Winter is a wonderful time to enjoy the quiet here at Stones Throw or maybe you are thinking ahead to next spring and summer.

Stay comfortable year-round at Stones Throw Retreat, a lovely lake home with 1 master bedroom and a loft sleeping area. Stones Throw Retreat features 3 queens and 1 twin bed, ensuring a comfortable stay. Nestled up in the trees, this phenomenal rental is perfect for guests seeking a tranquil getaway. With amenities like a "Cooks" kitchen, heating, AC, washer and dryer, a charcoal grill, WiFi, 3 TVs with streaming boxes, sauna and a hot tub you'll have everything you need for a delightful stay. The 2 bathrooms offer additional convenience with a shower and a bathtub. Hair dryers are provided as well as shampoo, conditioner and body wash.

Whether you're relaxing by the fireplace in the living room or reading a book in the loft, or watching TV in the walk-out basement, the additional spaces provide flexibility and comfort. The hot tub is on the deck running year-round and a sauna in the lower level. Fall in love with Stones Throw Retreat and enjoy the magic it has to offer.

We are less than 1/4 mile from the ATV/Snowmobile trail system -https://www.burnettcountywi.gov/364/Trail-Updates. There is always something to do in Burnett County WI - check out the Tourism website at www.burnettcountyfun.com.

Winter has snow shoeing, X-Country skiing, snowmobiling and maybe going to a meat raffle! We added a sledding hill from under the deck down to the lake as well as a skating rink on the lake. Summer boasts hanging in the lake, golf, pickleball, tennis, biking, etc! The hiking is great with forest and many trails in the area.

We are licensed by the State of Wisconsin and Burnett County.

It is the renter’s responsibility to check WI DNRs website for fire danger and burning restrictions prior to using the outdoor fire pit. Search: WI DNR fire restrictions.

There is no public access on this lake - it is a 35 acre, quiet, no wake lake. We have a paddle boat, 2 kayaks, 1 canoe and a paddleboard.

This cabin felt like a true winter retreat—peaceful, cozy, and beautifully stunning with a great view of the lake. Inside, it was clean, well-maintained, and thoughtfully decorated, which added to a wonderful atmosphere. The hot tub overlooking the lake quickly became our favorite spot, especially in the evenings after a day out in the cold. The kitchen was well-equipped for making Christmas meals, and there was plenty of space for everyone to relax comfortably. Waking up to snow-covered trees and enjoying coffee while watching the bird feeder. If you’re looking for a cozy, festive getaway during the winter season, especially around Christmas, this cabin is a perfect choice.

Our "Wolfstar Women" stay at Stones Throw Retreat was absolutely fabulous. We had so much fun together, and the experience was greatly enhanced by the cabin, and the beautiful lake, woods, and birds at the feeders on the deck. We especially appreciated the wood-burning fireplace, the large refrigerator, the Wolf stove and oven, the sauna, the hot tub, comfortable beds, and the many nice, little extras you supplied like the big, green towels that we used after our times in the hot tub and sauna. It's clear that you thought very carefully about what it takes to make a place work well for guests -- and you've made it happen! We all agreed that this was a five-star experience and one of the best places we've met to celebrate our 31 years of friendship. Thank you for sharing the Stones Throw with us! The cabin is very comfortable with a great view of the lake. We enjoyed our stay and so did the pups.The hot tub, sauna (including a jump in the lake), paddle board and kayaking were all very refreshing!We enjoyed hiking the Bear Lake loop trails. The trumpeter swams were a nice bonus.We enjoyed our stay and look forward to coming back next year.

The property was very clean, The kitchen was well stocked for any cooking that you need to do. Beautiful deck with bird watching in your chairs. Very quiet, serene, and beautiful scenery. Had great sunrise and sunset with almost a full moon with Saturn. The host was incredible with a response if you had questions. I would love to come back to see this place in the winter. Thanks for sharing your beautiful place.

This beautiful retreat was exactly what we needed! The view of the lake from the deck is lovely and we saw lots of wildlife. The hot tub and sauna were luxurious additions! We had an unusually hot Sept weekend and got to enjoy using the paddle boat and do some fishing. Our poodle loved the lake and exploring the woods. The host was excellent with communication and made everyone easy. We felt welcomed and are so appreciative of the opportunity to enjoy this gem of a lake home!

We had a very relaxing stay. We really appreciated that the property wasn't clear cut, loved our privacy with all of the trees. The deck facing the lake had a fabulous view. The hummingbirds were frequently at their feeders. The kitchen had every appliance if cooking/baking is your thing. Lovely potted herbs on the deck for adding to meals.We enjoyed swimming and paddle boarding in the lake. Just beautiful!

We stayed at the Stones Throw Retreat and were absolutely amazed at all of the special touches that this cabin offered. I wish I could give more than 5 stars! This cabin is so beautiful, comfortable, and nicely secluded, with so many options like a sauna, hot tub, bon fire, games, grill, kayaks, paddle boat, and fishing gear. You could not ask for more. We absolutely loved our stay and just wished it was longer. It was a beautiful, meticulously clean, quiet retreat where the owners thought of every need and desire. They even had extra bird food so that you could enjoy the many humming birds eating right off the deck. In our down time, we sat on the deck and just enjoyed the view. This cabin is everything you could ever want and more. We will definitely be staying again!!!

5 Stars – Peaceful, Fun, and Perfect for the Whole Family (Including Our Pup!)We spent a full week at this beautiful lakefront retreat and loved every minute of it. The home was cozy, clean, and had everything we needed. There was plenty of space and a great game area that kept everyone entertained, even on rainy days.The view of the lake was stunning at all hours, and we made full use of the hot tub, sauna, and quiet water. It was ideal for relaxing or paddling around. It is the perfect mix of peaceful and playful.Best part? It is completely family friendly and dog friendly. Our pup Marshmallow had the time of his life exploring and lounging with us. We felt so at home here, and we are already dreaming about our next visit.

We enjoyed every moment! The lake is so quiet and beautiful, the home is outfitted with anything you would need-both indoor and outdoor fun. Between the lake, the sauna, the hot tub and the fire pit, we slept well every night. We highly recommend this lovely home.

We loved everything about this place. It was so quiet and peaceful. The house had everything we needed. The shoreline was nice and sandy which was great for us and our dogs. The hot tub and sauna were a nice bonus too. We would definitely stay here again.

Relaxed and Refreshed

Our family booked this cozy cabin right on the lake to enjoy. The wildlife is incredible. The lake is peaceful. My boys caught their first fish which brought so much joy! The owners truly thought of everything to make our stay comfortable. Forgot something? They’ve most likely got it! We are looking forward to returning in the future!

My husband,myself, and our Labrador Cooper, loved our week long stay at the cabin. It exceeded by far any other we've stayed at.It was very well stocked, clean, and we enjoyed the hot tub, charcoal grill, and the tranquility. I loved birdwatching, and the nice view of the lake. We definitely want to come back!

Relaxing getaway

Cozy cabin with easy access to unload from the car. Lovely view of forest around cabin and lake. Hottub on back deck was nice and hot, as was the sauna downstairs. Several seating areas gave us space to be apart when we wanted, but snuggle up by the fire together for some good conversation and Phase 10. We brought our own cross country skis and broke trail out on the lake, followed by time in the sauna! Lots of attention to little things, like towels on hooks by the sauna, hooks out by the hottub, and access to streaming services was already set up on the TVs. Chefs kitchen was an unexpected treat, too. Overall, pleasant time away from the city for us both! Thank you for sharing your retreat with us.

The Best Rental Ever in a Winter Wonderland

My friend and I rented Susan's place for a girl's weekend and we couldn't be happier with our experience! We both agreed it was one of the nicest places we've ever rented. The cabin was really clean and the kitchen was also amazingly stocked with all the cookware you could ever need. You can tell the cabin was built, decorated, and is maintained with a lot of love and mindfulness. The sauna was perfection, and it was magical to drink our coffee every morning in the hot tub on the deck overlooking the lake while surrounded by blue jays, red bellied woodpeckers, downy woodpeckers, and pileated woodpeckers. Susan was also a fantastic host - she was very responsive, helpful, and generous when we had any questions. I already want to be sure to come back next winter! If you are thinking of booking this place, just do it - you won't be disappointed! :)

The.Best.Space.

Hands down the best choice for a relaxing getaway. You can feel the calming energy of the home from the moment you walk in. The setting is idyllic-trees, birds, lake-enjoyable in any season (we were here in winter-lovely). Everything is so clean, organized and available. The layout of the home is such that you can snuggle next to the fireplace or read a book in the cozy upstairs nook. Make sure you turn the light on to highlight the pretty stained glass picture above the fireplace -- it has a lovely glow. We are looking forward to a summer getaway here!!

Great getaway

Susan was very responsive to my questions and gave us a great tip for hiking with the dogs. She also let us use the blaze orange dog vest. Thank You! We really enjoyed our time there. A peaceful paddle on the lake started my weekend. The kitchen is stocked with everything that we needed. Relaxing in the hot tub looking at the stars was a great start to the weekend. The deck is stunning and the sunrises were an amazing way to wake up. We enjoyed the sauna. An added bonus was a cold plunge in the lake afterwords. It's peaceful and so quiet. We would definitely come back.

We live in the Twin Cities and I love to play pickleball and golf and cook (the kitchen is a dead giveaway). Up here, we go to Voyager Village Country Club, which is only 20 minutes away from the cabin. Don't forget to make a tee time for golf. There is a small fee for non-members to play pickleball. We love to have people enjoy our home and up north community as much as we do.

Qué hace que este alojamiento sea especial

Great view out to the lake but when you sit on the deck, you are up in the trees. Feeders bring in all kinds of birds, year round. It is just a special place!
