Quick Galveston get away

Very quaint, colorful house just 6 blocks from the beach. Well equipped. Donna is great and goes the extra mile to make sure her guests have a great stay.

Such a cute cottage!! Great propert

This mermaid themed cottage was so cute, clean and comfortable. It was perfect for me, my husband and our dog. Another person could also have stayed on the daybed in the living room. We loved the location too!! We walked to the Bishop's Palace for a tour.

My wife and I came to Galveston and stayed for the weekend and it couldn’t have gone better! Donna was amazing! She’s so sweet, caring and helpful! The house is the cutest place ever! Excellent yard space! The house was clean and everything was in great condition! The location of the house is perfect too! It’s less than a mile away from two of our favorite breakfast places, Sunflower and Mosquito cafe. Would highly recommend booking your stay here!

Super cute place- Super awesome Host- Donna

Place is very clean inside- decor and furniture is super nice and relaxing!! The host- Donna, lives next door and is just an over all sweet great person. We extended our stay another night by a simple text to her. Took our dog and the yard is fenced and lots of shade. She even has doggie bowls, treats, a leash, and bags! Just a few blocks to the Seawall, and down from the strand and lots of good food! Super cute place!

Mer-made in Heaven

This cottage is roomy, well equipped, immaculately clean and well located for a variety of excursions within Galveston. A plus is the access to Porretto Beach, Texas’ only privately owned beach, which is less than 5 minutes away. Donna, the owner, is extremely nice, very organized, and a pleasure to work with. She is very accessible and responsive should you need anything whatsoever. We did this trip as a very last minute getaway and we were very fortunate to discover this hidden gem. We would highly recommend checking this cottage out if you want a perfect place to stay while in Galveston. We want to bring our dog next time!!

Great location and super cute house

Me, my mom, and my small dogs stayed at this property. The house was clean, the yard was nice, we loved the detail to decorations inside, and we loved that it was pet friendly. Most importantly the property owner was such a pleasure to speak with and went above and beyond to make sure our stay went smoothly. We love that there was a small section in the home dedicated to dogs including books, decor, potty bags, cleaner, treats, and more. We were highly impressed with the handful of environmentally friendly products used on the premises too! We definitely recommend staying at the Mermaid house and renting from this fabulous property owner. We have never had such a smooth and seamless rental process and stay. Everything pictured and described was exactly what we experienced in person which unfortunately has not always be the case with other property listings. You won’t regret your stay here, go enjoy and see for yourself!

Unforgettable Home & The BEST Hospitality

If you’re looking for a stress-free getaway near the beach in a home that welcomes dogs, you’ve found it. Just book now and come back to read the reviews to get excited! I stumbled on this listing by chance, searching for a place to take my 5-yo daughter and our dogs for a few days near the beach. The bright pink exterior and mermaid theme caught my eye: A 5-yo girl’s dream! Booked it immediately. A couple of hours later, I received a call directly from the host, Donna, to get to know us better and give us more details about her home. Fast forward to our stay. I received check-in instructions the day before: a keyless access code, Wi-Fi, and a list of extra amenities she included like fresh ground coffee, tea and snacks for humans and pups. Everything was perfect, and then some. The home was immaculately clean, lamps on, AC set to cool for our arrival, water in the dog dish on the porch. No details were missed! Fully equipped kitchen, laundry pods & dryer sheets, dog treats and poo bags, extra leash… she has it all ready for you. It is so apparent that Donna takes a lot of pride in her hospitality and goes the extra mile to make your stay as special as possible. This is a theme that continued each day until we departed. My characters are limited, but I could easily go on forever about all the wonderful parts of this property & host. Just go see for yourself, you will want to extend your stay an extra night like I did!

After 8 months of getting to know the island of Galveston, I kept coming back to the East End.

For its Location and Walkability to the Historic East End and San Jacinto neighborhoods, the castle that is Bishop’s Palace, and architectural beauty that is Sacred Heart church that are just a half a block away.
6 blks to the SeaWall, 4 to some of our favorite local restaurants.

But mostly I loved the property itself. It’s corner layout with fenced yards. Being a side to side duplex, with one side facing one street and the other facing opposite side.

Guests tell me the first thing that stands out is the bright and happy color.
Then what makes our property stand out for them is the design and decor, as well as the outdoor deck and fenced yard to enjoy.
They say they love the convenience of the location and the beauty of the neighborhood.
That it’s cozy and romantic, clean and it’s comfortable.
And the icing on the cake is our LoveLock gate. It’s where our Guests can place a LoveLock to commemorate their stay and take home the Key as a Souvenir💝💕💙💕❤️
