Hi! Welcome to The Cabin Life located in Blue Lake Springs, Arnold. Bring the whole family along with furries and friends and come to a place where you can truly relax and enjoy Mother Nature.
Tucked amongst the cedar trees in a quiet nature setting, The Cabin Life offers all of the amenities and more as if you were right at home.
We hope you enjoy our little piece of heaven just as much as we do and embrace all of the beauty that surrounds the area.
The space
Cozy and full of Calaveras ambiance, this charming cabin in Blue Lake Springs community will make a wonderful visit for hiking, skiing, swimming, and any other outdoor adventures. Amongst the dogwoods and cedar trees you will have a private hot tub, spacious front and back deck areas to eat and play games along with fireplaces to meet your needs. Inside you will have all of the comforts of home with a new central air conditioning unit for those warmer summer nights, a brand new kitchen remodel equipped with every tool along with a wine fridge. For all seasons, we have updated the main floor with beautiful vinyl planks for all guests including furries to enjoy.
This cabin comes complete with three private bedrooms, a loft area with 4 twin beds, a full kitchen, 2 full bathrooms, dining area, living room along with a washer and dryer for all to enjoy. The two bedrooms downstairs have queen beds and the bedroom upstairs has a king size bed. The loft area is ideal for the kids to play one of many provided board games, play foosball. The cabin features two flat screen TV's one upstairs for gaming and one downstairs where Wi-Fi streaming is available for all of your TV pleasures. When you aren't watching TV you can soak in the hot tub outside and gaze at the stars while you listen to some music or just the sounds of the forest. Enjoy!
Guest access
Guests will have access to the whole house with the exception of the locked owner and cleaners closets.
Other things to note
*Includes guest card for access to Snowflake Lodge restaurant and recreational area that has a swimming pool, tennis courts, and more...( guest fee will apply for usage)
*Garbage pick up is on Wednesday so please place garbage in the bear box at the bottom of the driveway
*Please keep in mind during the winter months it is recommended to have 4WD and chains.

Wonderful Cabin in the trees!

The cabin was wonderful for our family! The kitchen was fully stocked and everything was labeled which made it easy to find things and put them back in the proper place. We enjoyed going to Big Tree's and visited 3 little lakes during our visit. Our grandson liked practicing his casting off the deck. The back yard was wonderful! We had a fabulous trip!

The property and cabin were accurately described. Everything was in great condition. We were luck enough to see through the windows a few deer and later a cougar. Very exciting.

Relaxing weekend in Arnold!

The cabin was perfect for my family of 6, plus 2 dogs. My communication with Diana and Tony was great, we arrived 2 and half hours early, Tony stopped what he was doing at work, and reset the door code for us. As far as the cabin itself, it is just like the pics, no surprises! The cabin was very clean, beds and sofa were very comfortable, and the Hot Tub was awesome!!! 5 STARS

Wonderful getaway

Our group of friends had a wonderful time during our stay here. The house had plenty of room for our group of four. We loved lounging with morning coffee on the decks and using the hot tub after a day of hiking. The house had everything we needed to cook our own meals and the fireplace was wonderful for nights indoors. It’s a great location for visiting Murphys and Lake Alpine. There was an issue with lighting in the living room (overhead bulbs out and a lamp not working) which weren’t fixable during our stay, but we appreciated the responsiveness from the hosts, who I suspect will take care of everything before the next guests’ arrival.

Great hosts, awesome cabin!

Cabin was exactly what we were looking for, private yet close to tons of things to do. Tony and Diana were awesome - they reached out to us the day before to let us know about some unexpected snow and to give us a great recommendation of a place to stop on the way to the cabin. We had a few questions during our stay and Tony and Diana were very responsive. The cabin had everything we needed for an extended weekend. The kitchen had great appliances and all the kitchenware you'd need. There were a variety of games to play and books to read. Our boys love playing in the yard and we all enjoyed the hot tub. Highly recommend this cabin and would love to make another trip back.

Great Attentive Hosts!

Our family decided to “Go For It” when we heard there was a big storm coming. The hosts checked with us beforehand to let us know things might be a little tricky. Bear Valley was closed with the big storm, but having this immaculate, well-stocked cabin with games, foosball, fireplace and THE HOT TUB gave us a perfect spot to watch the snow come down and spend time together. Thanks Tony and Diana!!!

Great cabin!

Our family of 5 really enjoyed this cabin. The kitchen area is nicely updated, and the bbq & jacuzzi are easily accessible from there. For Summer there’s a nice patio up a few stairs with an outdoor fireplace, heat lamp, plenty of seating and lounge area. Cabin sits North/South so you get plenty of natural sunlight. Kids loved sleeping in the loft area and playing games. Owners were responsive and helpful. Will definitely stay again!

Lovely cabin in the woods

We had a wonderful stay at Diana’s cabin! The place is charming and cozy. I loved cooking in the kitchen! It has a long breakfast bar and all the things you need to cook. My husband and I also loved the hot tub. It was clean and hot when we arrived! Diana could not have been more kind and helpful before our visit. We saw lots of deer! It was very clean. One minor suggestion might be to take some of the old furniture and lamps out of the loft and paint the beautiful wrap around deck. Overall though, it was wonderful place to stay!

Great stay for the holiday

We had a great stay at this cabin. The property was clean and tidy, hot tub sparkling, beautiful kitchen, very close to Arnold, enjoyed all the different seating areas outside. The house wasn’t ready at 4:00 pm. So that was a bummer waiting.

Comfortable, well appointed cabin

The house was clean and all of the furniture was quite comfortable. We loved the kids loft space and the foosball table as well as the hot tub and my kids were very excited about the “records” (dvds) available upstairs. We really enjoyed our stay even though the snow didn’t cooperate!

Great thanksgiving stay

I have never stayed in a place with such a great and well stocked kitchen! We had a full thanksgiving meal and didn’t need to cut any corners thanks to the set up. Space was clean, set up, and fun for our whole family. Hot tub was wonderful. We will definitely be coming back in the years to come!

Trip to Calaveras Big Trees State Park

Awesome house. Lots and lots of deck space. Large and excellent living room/dining room/kitchen open floor plan for hanging out and socializing. We fit 4 adults comfortably, it could easily fit 6. Hot tub is right off the dining room. 8 minute drive to the Calaveras Big Trees entrance. We would like to stay here again, it's on the list.

We enjoyed our family time at the cabin. The kitchen had everything we needed and the hosts also provided lots of yummy snacks that my kids appreciated. The hosts were very helpful and responsive. We can't wait to go back!

Perfect Mountain Weekend

We loved our stay at Diana and Tony’s home! We had a group of 7 adults and stayed Friday-Sunday. Our hosts had great communication and recommendations, and the home was exactly how it is listed online. Beds were comfortable, the home was clean, and dog friendly was a huge bonus as we traveled with 2 large dogs. Everyone in our group raved about the home and we’re already talking about planning our next visit! Thank you Diana and Tony!

The house was accomodable to my family. We arrived very late Thursday night and we were locked out of the house with 2 small children and had to drive 20 minutes the opposite way to Find a hotel to house us with a dog after driving 4.5 hours to get there and did not get to sleep until 1-2 am. We could not get ahold of the homeowner nor the property manager. They did contact us the next day and the owner gave us his personal code to get in the house which did end up working. Overall it was a nice vacation with the family we enjoyed the large patio area and the kids loved the hot tub. The home owner was nice over calls and texts, but was distant and short when we spoke in person about things that were wrong in the house. Granted we did leave about 30 minutes after our check out time.

Loved the quiet location, stocked kitchen, BBQ and of course the hot tub. Hosts were great. Young kids loved it. Awesome for family getaway and fun to explore nearby.

Por qué escogió este alojamiento

As a young child, my wife would vacation here in Arnold and had many fond memories of making smores at night , hiking on the many trails, swimming at the community pool and enjoying all the sounds of nature. One weekend she shared some stories with me as we visited Arnold. It was my first time here and I was captivated by the sequoia trees along with the slower pace of life. Shortly after that trip, my wife and I decided that we would buy a cabin in Arnold to relax, retreat and enjoy Mother Nature. We absolutely love this area and we love our cabin, so in turn, we decided to share a piece of Calaveras County History with others: welcome to The Cabin Life.
