Tobacco barn cabin with trails, fishing and hiking

This unique property is a rustic cabin with modern amenities--created from an 1880's tobacco barn. Relax with your coffee in one of the rocking chairs on the porch, or overlooking the property on the spacious deck. This property includes 16 acres with hiking trails that lead to a 1/2 acre pond. Fish the pond and have a picnic in the peaceful setting. You are close to many outdoor recreation areas including Pilot Mountain and Hanging Rock State Parks and the Dan River. This house is done very well and thoughtfully. It’s so cute with all the details of a great cabin getaway. I highly recommend this place and look forward to returning again in the future. My pup enjoyed watching the deer off the back porch as we enjoyed the fire pit.

Beautiful property! The host was communicative and helpful. Exceptionally clean for a “cabin”, with great amenities. The heated floors were amazing. The kitchen was stocked with brand name cookware- very cute and functional. Comfy bed, quiet property, deer visitors, welcome book full of info. I’m so happy we stayed here and hope we can come back. Only tip is to bring a sleep mask- the light comes in the windows in the AM.

Great location for hiking pilot mountain and hanging rock. House was really clean and the large field they have there was great for our 1 year old black lab.. The side porch is really nice. We didnt use it alot since it was so hot but can see in cooler weather it would be excellent. Needed some info from them and they responded quickly. My only negative is bedroom is up and the bathroom is down, but not a deal breaker!

Fabulous property! We had five deer in the back yard every single day. The lady who decorated this cabin has taste. The mugs were perfect, the towels were thick, the antiques like the pie safe and coffee table were so enjoyable. It suited are needs and went beyond perfection. A notebook with information was helpful. We read about Jessups Mill Fishing which was 3 miles from the cabin and a wonderful place for my husband to fly fish. Our dog was so excited about the heated floors in the kitchen and bath. He often laid in the kitchen on the threshold. He wasn’t sure how they worked but he sure did enjoy them

An amazing get away!

This is an amazing get away, ideal for 2 but, was comfortable for 4 of us. Just far enough in the mountain that you feel alone in the world, but close enough to the highway that it is an easy drive. The cabin is charming, clean and loaded with extras! I know where I am going to run away to next time I need a break!!

The cabin exceeded our expectations. Close to the state parks for hiking and amazing views. Very secluded and private grounds were perfect. Loved walking the trails around the property with our dog. The cabin had all the amenities we needed plus some. Loved the welcome gift for our beagle. Would definitely come back again to get to more trails the next time.

This cozy tobacco barn turned log cabin has been one of our most favorite stays! We loved the retro/modern amenities combined with the authentic rustic decor, the loft bed, the heated floors, the kitchen appliances, the beautiful original walls. Our pups enjoyed walking the wooded acres and lounging with us on the super comfortable outside porch. Thank you for an amazing stay! We highly recommend!
