Windward Mark - Newly Renovated & Surrounded By Water

Our home is located on a private peninsula with waterfront on two sides. On one side, a covered porch overlooks peaceful Cavello Bay. Fish and swim straight from the dock or explore with our kayaks and paddle board. On the other side, enjoy a firepit and snorkeling. We are located in charming Somerset on the west end of the island. Somerset Village is a 10 minute walk away with a pharmacy, bus stop, take-out and liquor store.

The Space

This newly renovated home is bright and spacious. The living space opens up to an expansive covered verandah that overlooks peaceful Cavello Bay. True indoor/outdoor living! The kitchen is well equipped with a Wolf range, espresso machine and wine/beer fridge. Air Conditioning, fast wireless internet, Sonos speakers throughout and Apple TV are all at your disposal. The home sleeps 6 in 3 bedrooms. One bedroom is accessed by a narrow staircase and may not be suitable for all guests. The owners have children and the rental is well suited for kids with toys, games and even kids kayaks. Fun extras include: trampoline, fire pit, outdoor shower, outdoor bathtub, basketball net, kayaks and paddle boards.

Bedroom 3: Loft bedroom with 2 twin beds. Accessed by a narrow staircase which may not be suitable for all guests

NEIGHBORHOOD:

Windward Mark is located in Somerset in Sandys Parish in the west end of the island. We love to explore Somerset on foot straight from our doorstop. We will leave guests details of our favorite walking routes. The railroad trail walking and biking path is a 10 minute walk away. You can also walk into Somerset Village which has a pharmacy, liquor store, ATM and a great hole-in-the wall take out spot. A 15 minute walk away is Cambridge Beaches hotel with a spa, restaurants, water sports/scooter/electric vehicle rental. Somerset Long Bay is the closest beach and is a 20 minute walk.

Dockyard is an 8 minute drive and has several restaurants, shopping and a fantastic museum. It is also the departure point for many excursions as this is where the cruise ships dock.

GETTING AROUND:

There is a commuter ferry into Hamilton that runs twice in the morning and three times in the afternoon/evening from Cavello Bay. The bus stop is a 10 minute walk away. Dockyard is nearby with ferry service to Hamilton year round and St. Georges in the summer. The area is very walkable. Scooter, bicycle and small electric vehicle rentals are available for rental nearby.
