Paradise for the entire family!

Prior to arrival, host communication was prompt, warm and accommodating. The property is extraordinary. It was easy getting lost into a different fun space while exploring the property. Very well planned for guests of all ages. Such a perfect home for families with kids. Beach accessories are provided for easy stay. Communication with the host during stay was exceptional as well. Jungle by the Sea is easily one of our top vacation rentals. We had no problems with this rental and cannot wait to make this a recurring getaway! Thank you!

Ultimate playground and charm!

This house went beyond our expectations. We were a family from a 3 year old to a 79 year old and each loved every day here. The multiple outdoor spaces are so fun with everything you could imagine. The inside layout was perfect with the master on one side and 2 other bedrooms on the other then a fantastic guest house that be can accessed from inside or outside. The large living room with huge TV and super large sofa makes it the perfect central area. We didn’t cook but the kitchen had everything you might need. The golf cart was a bonus. The house is a short walk to the private beach. The house had all the amenities you could want. The host, Chris was quick to respond when we contacted him. I felt like we had our own resort!

Slice of paradise

I stayed at this property with a group of girlfriends to celebrate our 40th birthdays, and we could not have asked for a better VRBO! The house was beautiful, and the yard is incredible - a perfect place to relax and enjoy time away. The neighborhood is in a great location - walking distance to a few great restaurants and a convenience store, and short walk to the private beach access. Communication with the owner was easy and they were very responsive, and when we arrived the house was spotless. We loved having the golf cart to travel down to the pier and enjoy restaurants a little farther away from the house without having to worry about renting a car for the weekend. I would definitely recommend staying here, and I would stay here again!

Relaxing Escape

We stayed here for a pre-cruise weekend and had a blast. The outdoor area had tons to do for our whole group and the inside was the perfect place to wind down together. We could tell a lot of work and care has been put into the property, and will be back!

Christmas at the Beach

We are a party of 8, including 2 children ages 5 and 7. The layout of the house was perfect for our group. The outside amenities were awesome. It's a short walk through a quiet neighborhood to the private beach. The golf cart was a big plus. There are bicycles and all kinds of sporting equipment available. Chris was very responsive. This was the perfect place for our group.

Family trip

Overall the house was absolutely beautiful. It has numerous amenities where everyone in the family can enjoy. The pool and jacuzzi were incredible. The main bedroom has a sauna and the feautures are very luxurious. On the other side, there is some deferred maintenance in the property. The coffe maker was not working. It would be awesome to have a little more cleanness and some fumigation. But we understand it is a big house to maintain. Owner is very responsive and addressed our concerns right away.

House not cleaned, bad customer service

Terrible experience. When we arrived, the house had not been cleaned. There was sand all over the floor, dirty towels in the laundry room, blankets just thrown over the beds, both couches in the main and guest house are dirty and stained, and there was a dead cockroach. When I called the host, he tried to tell me it was normal to have cockroaches. Apparently, there had been an error and cleaning had been missed. I told the manager this was unacceptable, and he tried to make it sound as if I should just be grateful I was able to stay in a “million dollar home” and that this was no big deal. He offered a $200 dinner voucher and was not apologetic in the least bit, acting as if it was odd I didn’t want to go out while they cleaned, and I should just go have a “good time.” After driving hours with a toddler and dog, we couldn’t even get into the house until 9:30 at night. We figured this would be the last of our trouble, but one of the toilets that had been clogged wasn’t unclogged when the cleaners came. A maintenance worker came and was unprofessional and rude. He literally told my father there was nothing wrong with the toilet and why was he here? When my father tried to explain and show him, the worker told my father to get out of bathroom because he didn’t need supervision. He then packed up and left without saying anything. The toilet was still clogged. I would NEVER stay here again or with this host. Rude, condescending, and acted as if we were an inconvenience.

The online description does not do this residence any justice. 4 Bedrooms, 3 baths plus another outside close to the pool. The operation of the pool was easy peezy. AC unit in every room. Hugh Screen TV in the family room. Great Kitchen and a small kitchen in the guest bedroom area. We found that quarters by accident. There is a separate outside entrance. Directions to the beach seem to be a little off, but the beach is SPOTLESS and convenient. Great view of the lighthouse. The golf cart is perfect, 3 rows of seats. The pool is stupendous. We never made it to the beach other than to check it out. My grandkids and family spent morning, noon and evening in the pool. The spa is heated and if you work things correctly, you can heat the pool if you need it. There is an outside bathroom by the pool equipment area and saves the kids from tracking their wet bodies into the house. For the adults, a super large bar and what appears to be an 85" TV to kick back and watch a ball game. There is a tree house, bowling alley (small and great fun), putting green, corn hole area and more. Great Family retreat. We celebrated my wife's 75th with the grandkids and family. Plenty of space for all by the pool and bar area. Close enough for us to run home to get away from the helta skelter for the night. Very close to the beach area of Hillsboro and dining not to mention a stone's throw from charter fishing or party boat by the Hillsboro inlet. Perfect place for visiting friends to stay.

What a beautiful and fun place to stay. It’s a little slice of paradise! You will definitely feel relaxed leaving here, and the owner is a wonderful person, very attentive and responsive to anything you need help with.

Things that didn't work, accusations of theft, and a rat.

In theory this house is great. The lot is big and there are fun things to do like the pool and spa, outdoor kitchen, bocce, beach gear, and golf cart. However, our vacation was ruined by the host accusing us of stealing a leaf blower and a beach cart. We did not steal these items-we used them as permitted and returned them exactly where we found them in the garage. Curiously, the host seemed to know and accused us of stealing exactly the only 2 specific things we used-odd. He said he had security footage then we never heard back. Reading some other reviews of properties related to this host we realize we made a mistake booking with them. We wonder if the accusations were to discredit a bad review in some way? We hadn't planned on this review and based on others the host will bad-mouth us even though we left that place cleaner than we found it. Beyond that, AC barely worked in the back 2 bedrooms-they were very warm the entire stay. The outdoor speakers constantly dropped sound even though the bluetooth was connected and the amp needles were moving. We had to reset the amp a dozen times to listen to music. Outdoor TV speakers didn't work. Instructions didn't match the equipment. Spa controls didn't work. Dishwasher was broken. Grill didn't work. Then we saw a rat on the roof and later a hole had been chewed through a bag of bread on the indoor kitchen counter and droppings were left behind. See other review on air 2b re: rat infestation. Place is in need of a DEEP cleaning.

Wonderful week at the Jungle

Our family (ages 16-93) loved our stay in Pompano at The Jungle, especially the pool, golf cart, tiki hut, and access to the beach. Unfortunately, the dishwasher and icemaker in the main house were broken when we arrived but we made the best of it, and they were small things compared with our enjoyment of the property. High marks to the owner for providing lots of beach gear, pool towels, toilet paper, many staples (salt and pepper, cooking oil, etc), and paper towels! Highly recommended.

Great place to stay

We really enjoyed the house. It was very nice. Great outside area and perfect location. We loved the private beach access, very close to the house, not a very far walk at all. The beach isn't busy, so it makes it nice and relaxing.

Senior Trip

Some friends and I brought our daughters here for their Senior Trip. Everything was great ! Loved the convenience of being just blocks from the beach and in a quiet neighborhood , yet still with in town conveniences. The property grounds were very serene. We all loved it!

Family Best of Times

This was the perfect family retreat location both in the house/amenities and close to the beach. Our family loved it! We had our adult kids and grandkids ages 1-11. They said it was like having our own little mini resort.

Great amenities

Great for rainy stay

Pool area is great for rainy Florida days. House is roomy. Instructions need to be updated when new electronics added. Could use more pool friendly cups.

Awesome Place for Families

What a great place! Awesome activities for all of the kiddos—no shortage of things to do. And having close access to the private beach was great with the little ones. Hosts were very responsive to the couple of questions we had during our stay. A wonderful experience—highly recommend!

Awesome stay

Enjoyed a nice trip here with friends. Place was clean and amenities were great. Didn’t have to worry about anything but food drinks and sunscreen. All of your normal beach items were covered and plenty of things to do around the house.

Perfect staycation for the family!

Everything was perfect, just amazing and relaxing. Our kids enjoyed all of the activities on the property, we didn’t really need to leave other than to go get ice cream. It was everything we were looking for on our staycation. The only things I would like to comment on would be the pool didn’t heat up, and being a Floridian, 73 degree water wasn’t fun LOL but we still had a blast. Also the mosquitoes were terrible but there was bug spray available!
