3-bedroom cottage nestled in a quiet cove just steps from the water. Private mooring and pier. A favorite lake for boating, ice fishing, swimming, sailing or just enjoying the abundant natural beauty and wildlife of the local area. Park-like setting. All natural pine walls and cathedral ceilings. Fully equipped kitchen, outdoor gas grill. Canoe, kayaks provided.

Perfect location and setup for Colby College graduation weekend. Cottage was clean and well designed for our family, and the outdoor seating was perfect for enjoying a relaxing afternoon between festivities. The weather wasn’t warm enough for partaking in all the lake based activities, but Clee has lots of equipment with which to do so for summer guests. Would be a fabulous spot for a Maine getaway!

After battling Stage 4 cancer, this was my first vacation with my kids in five years, and I couldn't have asked for a better place to make new memories.From the moment we arrived, we felt so welcome. We happened to get there about two hours before check-in, and the owner kindly came right over to greet us with a beautiful bouquet of fresh-picked flowers. It was such a thoughtful gesture that immediately made us feel at home.The cottage was spotless, cozy, and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Waking up each morning to the breathtaking view of the lake from the master bedroom was one of my favorite parts of the trip—it was so peaceful and beautiful. We especially loved that kayaks were provided, making it easy to explore the lake whenever we wanted. The dock was perfect for fishing, and my kids had a great time catching plenty of perch, largemouth bass, and adorable pumpkinseed fish.If you're looking for a clean, welcoming, and relaxing place to create lasting family memories, I wholeheartedly recommend staying here. We are so grateful for this wonderful experience and hope to return someday. Thank you for sharing your beautiful little piece of Maine with our family. This vacation meant more to us than words can express.

Peaceful lake house

This is a great place to stay with kids, it’s quiet and a fun place for the kids to swim and not too far from town! We are already planning our next trip!

This was the perfect place for us to stay for the Maine 70.3 triathlon. We were able to swim in the pond and run in the area. The cabin is larger than it seems in photos. The WiFi worked wonderfully. It was a cozy, comfortable and quiet place. Would definitely go back at another time!! Highly recommend.

Great Setting/location

This was our second summer in a row staying at the property. What a great setting, the pond is beautiful and generally peaceful (had only one night of loud music from a neighbor somewhere in the vicinity). Swimming and kayaking is perfect for a young family like mine. We will continue to look to stay here in the future as it’s a great setting for my family. And convenient location in relation to Waterville/winslow and much closer to Boston airport (as compared to Acadia and Bar Harbor).

Lake Cabin

Peaceful, clean, full of birdsong. The May weather was a bit cold and moist to start. The fireplace and heater worked great. Clee brought over more blankets. The sun came out at the end, and the lake was a wonderful addition.

Great Place

Clee was very responsive to our needs. Very quiet, excellent location and easy access to water-lovely dock for sitting and viewing the wildlife! The washer/dryer and dishwasher were a huge plus. Seniors and families with young children should be aware of circular stairs.

Great Lake stay

it was great and as advertised. No problems. The Tv is a little difficult to navigate, but not a big deal. Internet was great. It would have been great if there were binoculars at the house, we were very excited to see the wildlife on the lake. Many loon birds and bald eagles etc…

Cozy lake cabin serenaded by loons

The king sized bed upstairs was so comfortable. It was relaxing to sleep with the window open and awake to a view of the sunrise over McGrath Pond. Favorite memories include enjoying coffee on the deck, kayaking, and catching smallmouth bass, chain pike, and white perch from the dock. Property owners were very communicative and responsive. Touches of hospitality graced this peaceful cabin getaway.

Nice getaway

The camp is a typical Maine cottage on the pond. A couple things to note: the place is not really air conditioned. In Maine this is typically not an issue, but we hit some hot days. Fortunately there were portable fans. Also, the bathroom floor seems to be perpetually damp. In spite of this, we enjoyed our stay. The house is well equipped for living and water fun.

The cabin was clean and comfortable for our needs (party of four). The kitchen is well-equipped and the inclusion of a washer/dryer is a nice touch. The view of the lake is beautiful at all times of day. Check-in/out was very easy.The photos are a bit outdated as of July 2026. For example, there is only one couch in the living area, and there is no longer a set of steps on the deck leading down to the water. In addition, there were gaps between the boards on the deck large enough that a chair leg fell through when one of us tried to sit down, so watch out for that. These are not dealbreakers (it’s a cozy property overall) but I think the photos could use an update to better represent the property.

What an amazing stay at McGrath Pond! This camp is steps from the pond, which made it incredibly convenient to fish any time of day. Caught several fish throughout our stay. Peaceful and quiet cove, in spite of the number of camps around us. Fell asleep to the sound of loons, owls, and frogs! A perfect, relaxing stay in beautiful Oakland, Maine!
