Gulf Facing 2 Bedroom Portofino Vacation Haven

Our Portofino condo is a Gulf facing unit with sensational views of the Gulf of Mexico and the Santa Rosa Sound. This unit has 1333 square feet of living space as well as a large balcony with a convenient outdoor grill. The vista from the patio allows sensational sunsets and beautiful Gulf and Sound views. The location is hard to beat!!
This condo has many upgrades including tile flooring throughout, granite countertops in the kitchen and bath, and a fully equipped kitchen for those who like to cook. The master bedroom has a king bed with a great view of the great view of the Gulf and Sound. The second bedroom also features outstanding views (all windows are floor to ceiling). The second bedroom has a queen and twin bed to accommodate 3 people sleeping. All rooms were professionally decorated with a beach theme.
Portofino has a 40,000 square foot Lifestyle Center which has an Olympic size lap pool, a 3.000 square foot fitness center with steam and sauna, and multiple spa services available.
Each Portofino tower has its own pool and hot tub. Our unit over looks the tower 1 pool. Enjoy onsite dining at Portofino Terra Cotta Restaurant, wine bar, gourmet deli and juice bar.
Portofino is a true resort, and a destination your family will want to return to year after year. After enjoying all the beach has to offer, return to your beachside haven to kick back and relax. Beautiful condo! There was plenty of room for our family of five (kids 5,10 and 11) with comfortable accommodations and amazing views of the gulf. The kitchen was roomy and had everything we needed to prep meals. The property amenities were top-notch! Extremely friendly Portofino staff - we’ll be back for sure!

This was our second summer at Portifino Island. We stayed in tower 1 this year. We preferred this condos location over the 20th floor of tower 2 we stayed in previously. The views were phenomenal, the balcony was shaded during the morning. Perfect time to sit in the lounge chair and sip coffee. You could see the ocean and the sound and the gorgeous sunsets. We had easy access to the elevators from our parking spot, near the tower pool, which was directly below our balcony as well. The condo was clean and comfortable. Appreciated the small touches like hangars in the closets, fluffy bath towels, beach chairs and toys. I would suggest a shower caddy for the master for a place to store soaps and washcloths. Access to laundry was a plus. All the staff and guests are so friendly, it’s a happy, relaxing place to be. We’d stay here again for sure!

Great condo and view of Gulf

We very much enjoyed our stay at this property and unit. It was very well furnished and comfortable. The balcony is large with plenty of seating. i really appreciated that there was plenty of towels, soap, shampoo, toilet tissue, a little laundry detergent, etc. Also a well stocked kitchen with salt, pepper, cooking spray, foil and plastic wrap, coffee filters, etc. It was so nice to not have to gather supplies on the first day!. There were also beach chairs and toys. Easy walk to all facilities and to the beach. Nice parking near the elevators.

Portofino stay

We love staying at Portofino for our spring break family vacation. This condo was really nice and clean. Comfy beds and the condo met the listing description. We were a family of 6 that stayed for 6 nights. The only thing that was not at a 5 star level was the dryer. The washing machine worked great but the dryer was super loud and took 2 cycles to actually dry clothes. It either needs serviced or replaced. Other than that mild inconvenience everything else with this condo was great. We really enjoy staying at this resort with the easy access to the beach and swimming pools.Would recommend to other families as a great place to stay.

We visit Pensacola every year and Portofino is our favorite spot. This particular unit is excellent. Incredible views, had everything we needed, very clean and modern unit and very easy check-in and check-out.

Great family get away

We really enjoyed our stay at Portofino! This unit is in tower 1 which makes it close to the entrance and main pool/restaurant area. It is on the 8th floor. The unit was clean and had everything we needed to enjoy cooking in while on our beach vacation. We have two sons and they enjoyed having their own room and bathroom. The unit is spacious. When we stayed there were beach chairs in the master closet to take to the beach. The only thing that bothered us was that the water pressure wasn’t great in the unit, and there were beach toys and buckets left in the master closet that had shells/sand in them that were left behind. They fell and made a mess. We were annoyed as it shouldn’t have been left behind like that, however, we were able to sweep and vacuum up the mess. Things to know about this resort: there are multiple towers and each has its own pool. You have to walk across a crosswalk to get to the beach that is the gulf. Bring a wagon! You can rent chairs and umbrellas (like $50/day). They will try to upsell you on their ultimate and extreme packages that include extras. We did not find that necessary and were able to enjoy everything we wanted to do including renting jet skis on site. Be aware, this complex is at the end of the developed area. It does take 20-30 min to get to Publix/WalMart depending on traffic to get off the island. This was also a blessing as the beach is not very crowded as there are not dozens of resorts on both sides of Portofino. We’d go back!

Beautiful property. Disappointed that our unit had some things that needed repair. Would have been nice if complex removed seaweed from beach at least a couple of times during the week. All in all a fun trip. We will return.

Nice stay in Portofino

We enjoyed our stay in Kathy’s condo. Pros: comfortable beds, beautiful view, easy check-in process, nice amenities at Portofino. Kathy was very responsive. A few things to consider— early check was not available, so I would expect to do check in no earlier than 4pm. The floors weren’t the cleanest which is not really an issue for most I think, but we had an infant so that may just be a call out for anyone with little ones who may be crawling around. Overall, I think I would prefer to stay in a beach house over a condo but if you are looking for the Portofino experience with all the great amenities it has to offer, I would recommend staying at Kathy’s.

Great condo, beautiful views

Portofino Island was a lot of fun and we enjoyed the property and the condo. There was plenty of space for our family of 5 and the views from the balcony were amazing. There were a lot of supplies in the condo already (beach chairs and toys and boogie boards, as well as cooking basics and paper products and cleaning supplies), which was great. Beach towels are not provided, which was not clear from the description and we ended up having to buy those when we arrived. It was also not clear to me when booking this condo that there are extra fees charged by Premier Island Management (the company that manages the whole property) not covered by the various VRBO fees paid. There's a daily HOA fee and a fee to check in (?!), which the person who checked us in did not mention, and was frustrating to find out at the end of the trip. Overall, we had a great visit and the condo was wonderful.

Wedding Weekend

My daughter was getting married at Portofino and we needed a condo that would accommodate my husband and I, along with my brother and his wife. Our condo at Portofino was PERFECT. The bedrooms were spacious, the bathrooms perfect. It was exceptionally clean and extremely well appointed. Dressed in a expensive colonial tropical motif, it was a perfect match for Portofino itself which sits between the Aegean blue Gulf Sea and the calm Bay. The sunrises and sunsets were stunning!!! And because of where the condo sat in Tower 1, we had the benefit of seeing both! Kathy Trucillo, property manager/owner is amazing and easy to communicate with! All your questions promptly answered and she is very accommodating. An overall amazing experience that have prompted us to consider returning next year - this time without an expensive wedding!
