The stay was perfect for us, our in-laws and two babies. Everything was clean and nice. The communication was so quick if we needed anything or had questions/recommendations.

Awesome place to stay for the 8 of us. Close to the beach and the bay. We loved using the pool and the hot tub too. Kitchen has been all redone which wasn’t shown in the listing photos. Was nice to use the fitness facility for some workouts while we were on vacation.

The house was perfect! The pool was sparkling and the hot tub inviting! We enjoyed family time on the decks as well as the spacious living room. The kitchen was well stocked with all of the dishes and utensils we needed. The host was very responsive when we had a small issue with figuring out the coffee pot very nice playground was just a short walk from the house, as well as the beach!

Memorial Day Weekend Stay

We had a lovely family beach trip over Memorial Day weekend. The house offered everything we needed and it was in a really convenient location. We would gladly stay there again. There were ten of us total, 6 adults and 4 children under 6. Plenty of space to accommodate all of us.

Salty Kisses

Location was excellent. Close to several public beaches. Enjoyed the pier within walking distance for crabbing and watching sunsets. The swimming pool was a big hit with entire family. Lots of steps for tired legs but nice separation for sleeping and hanging out. Only downside were all the ants but suppose that is common for the area. Would stay here again.

Birthday celebration

Celebrated two grandkids’ birthdays at this fantastic house. We enjoyed the large living and dining space, really enjoyed the pool and hot tub and had fun beating each other’s high scores on the video game in the hall! Overall a very fun and enjoyable experience. Kitchen was well stocked. We had a lobster and crab boil one night and had everything we needed.

OBX time!

Overall a great place to stay! We had some issues with the air conditioning first few days but the owners were responsive and was fixed the next day. Its a great place for a family. We loved the pool but several times we had to deal with large spiders in the pool area. The beach was about a 10 minute walk and easy to do! Was a nice beach vacation!

Perfect Paradise

Salty Kisses was delightful in every way! This beautiful home was well equipped with everything you need and more. The area is so beautiful, the sound right across the street and the ocean was a seven minute walk away. Joy and Scott were exceptional hosts! Corolla has some much to offer for a perfect vacation. We will be back! 😎

Short Corolla Getaway

We were really thrilled to find the property was exceptionally clean upon our arrival, a great relief after a long drive. The location is quite nice in the evenings, across the street from the sound front with private access to a boardwalk and gazebo, available to neighborhood owners and guests only. The sunsets were amazing on the sound. Property is a short walk to the beach, very convenient! Owner was very responsive to any questions we had, great to work with.

We rented this home for a week in June 2025 with three families, with 6 adults and 5 children.  The home was in a nice private area situated between the beach and the bay.  The home was a perfect size for our group.  It was very clean with a brand new, well stocked kitchen area, carpets that almost looked new and all areas including bathrooms were very clean.  The pool and hot tub were also very clean and well maintained and our kids spent a lot of time there and had a great time! It was a larger size pool and great for all the kids and adults.    The beach is a 5/10 minute walk, so we had to drive there with all our stuff, but there is a parking lot in front of the beach area.  You could walk to the bay area for fishing and sunsets.  The community center was nice and close by with playgrounds, a large pool, pickleball courts, etc.  When we arrived the clothes dryer and the outside shower were broken and it took a few days to get them repaired but the owners were responsive.  One negative was the outside porches.  They were very dirty, covered in debris and spider webs and it was very unpleasant to sit out there, even after our own sweeping.  It may be helpful for their cleaners to sweep them before any new arrivals.  Overall, it was a very nice home for a vacation with a large group and we enjoyed our time there!

A piece of heaven away from home

From start to finish our experience in booking, and staying at this beautiful oasis was nothing short of perfection! Our host and hostess did a great job of communicating with us via IM, answering any questions we had, and sharing, helpful tips to make our stay more enjoyable! Upon our arrival, we were met with a very clean beautiful home, located on OBX where I think I’d like to come every year moving forward! To me, the location was ideal being only four blocks from the beach, and very close to where the wild horses live. Even though it rained there was still plenty for us to do and every evening we enjoyed relaxing in the Jacuzzi. We travel quite a bit, but this was the first time we rented with the VBRO. I highly recommend it to anybody vacationing with a family. It’s so nice that everybody had their own bedroom to go and relax in at the end of our daily adventures! So much better than staying in a hotel or a timeshare!
